  1. The D can’t fall to pieces in every playoff loss. At some point the guy in charge of it has to be held accountable.
  2. I’m going to play the card that the Bills will underperform next season. Prob sneak in as a wild card. Then with no pressure of high expectations they may go on a little run.
  3. At the tailgate before the game i said to the group if we lose, i hope it’s not another soul crushing loss like 13 seconds. Just lose in a normal fashion so there’s not one play or one situation we can point to that caused the loss. Well the Bills delivered! and then some by getting blown the heck out. But having a few days to think about it, at least after 13 seconds i felt like we were the best team, and so very close. After this Cincinnati game, i feel like the Bills window has peaked and we’re sliding down the other side of the mountain now. So this is arguably worse.
  4. In these blowout games, no team is as good as they look and no team is as bad. This was a terrible plan by Bills coaches, terrible execution by the players... and a terrific plan by the Bengals. Plus Burrow executed at a high level. He's really good. As the saying goes, Burrow may be a slightly better QB, but Allen is the better all around football player and that's not debatable. I think the Chiefs are going to expose the Cincinnati Oline unlike the Bills.
  5. Apparently, Brady was saying that playing in light snow, slippery conditions is great for offense. All you do is play pitch and catch. CB's and edge rushers can't get their footing. Well, that explains why our DB's were watching Burrow play catch with his receivers and our Dline didn't even touch Joe. It's astounding how bad our coaching was on that day.
  6. Awesome game plan. Let's back up and watch the Cincinnati receivers catch the ball. Then on a slippery field, we will try to tackle dudes.
  7. It’s gonna piss me off a bit if the city of Cincinnati is having a parade in a few weeks. I always thought that Buffalo would have one before them. We shall see i guess . But the Bengals are a problem now and over the next few seasons for the AFC.
  8. It was definitely trending that way. But maybe in some strange way that would have worked out better. Then our team would've prepared differently to avoid a repeat beat down. Maybe the revenge factor would have worked to Buffalo's advantage. That was such a thorough destruction last Sunday it likely would not have mattered how it all played out.
  9. Good, get the hell out...both of them.
  10. I agree and that's why I posted in this thread. This wasn't a "bad day". This was completely unprepared and a lack of compete. This goes right to McDermott...and over to Frazier/Dorsey as well. I know Bean talks about disappointing, but privately he's likely fuming at what he witnessed.
  11. It was bad news for the Jets/Mia/NE that Buffalo was humiliated like that in the Divisionals. Instead of accomplishing their goals and maybe taking their "foot off the gas", the Bills will be on a mission again, maybe as AFC underdogs this time. I suspect KC and Cincinnati will be co-Super Bowl favorites for next season and Buffalo will be lumped in there with the Ravens, Chargers, Jax, etc.. I think the Jets and Miami definitely could push for the AFC East title but we still have the best QB in his prime.
  12. Simply put, the team had a 3 hour block of time to play at a high level, win and continue to fulfill their goals. They failed miserably. An NFL playoff team, the Super Bowl favorite for much of the season can’t have a “bad day” in their home stadium. No consequence for me… but pretty bad consequences for the players and coaches involved.
  13. Ah let’s face it, last season they should have sh*t canned McDermott and hired offensive minded Daboll to be the head coach. It’s a pipe dream of course but in retrospect he would’ve been a solid choice to transition away from McDungy.
  14. Yup. Our Super Bowl blew up with 13 seconds. We all knew it then and it still sucks now. The Bills O was unstoppable. They just had to get past that game. Cinci wasn’t as good then as they are today. We totally blew it. Should have 1 SB and now history says we won’t get it with this regime.
  15. The coaches, players, GM,…everyone in that organization waited an entire year to right the wrong of 13 seconds.,,,and that’s the game they came out with?!? it’s remarkable really. Just zero intensity and completely dominated from the very first snap until the end. No wonder Diggs was so pissed. They aren’t allowed a bad day in that game. Just glad they didn’t make the Super Bowl only to lay that egg. That would’ve been way worse.
  16. I'm sick of Frazier... and Dorsey pissed me off at times.. but I can't deny these guys were 13-3, 14-3 before getting rolled by Cincinnati. SO if they can learn and make changes for the positive, and Bean can work some magic in the draft and F/A, let's give them one more season to right these wrongs. I think this Domination will stick with them and be a huge motivator.
  17. Brandt was at the game Sunday and came on the jumbotron live, in stadium to hype up the crowd. I can't remember what the score was but the game felt out of hand at that point... and he's yelling "mount up mafia!". Almost no one was responding.. it was cringeworthy. I'm thinking dude, just shut it, we're getting dominated here and no one was in the mood to "Mount up".
  18. I heard an interesting stat that no coach/QB combo has ever won a Super Bowl beyond the first 5 years of their partnership. So if McDermott/Allen win the Super Bowl in the coming year(s) they would be the first ever to do it. The only other active combo like that is Harbaugh/Lamar...and they could be done.
  19. The beat down on Sunday gave me pause to think more about the cancelled MNF game. It was widely reported in the week that followed that it was A) difficult to find a slot to complete the MNF game and B) the Bills preference was to put that game behind them, and move forward....Adam Shefter said that team/league officials felt there was "bad mojo" associated with that game. So the league was going to lean in whatever direction the Bills wanted to go. Obviously The Bills wanted to leave the MNF game behind. Was that the start of the team moving from deep emotional concern for a teammate to maybe football isn't all that important? I don't know. Part of me thinks that if they completed that MNF game in "week 19" it could have resulted in the Bills getting blown out. In which case they would have played the Divisional (if they made it in Cincy)..and maybe would have learned better what it took to beat the Bengals.
  20. The Bills need to start studying the Chiefs and definitely the Bengals on offense. They'll gladly take the underneath stuff and certainly try to run the ball. They'll take a shot once in a while down the field but when it's 3rd and 2...i don't see them consistently throwing 25 yard sideline passes to well covered receivers...they just try to convert the 3rd down. I dunno, maybe Allen isn't processing the field as quickly as Burrow or Mahomes, to get off an accurate short pass... I'm not sure what the problem is?
  21. It's disgraceful really. I came up for the game Sat night, spoke to some friends and family.. Mentioned how i didn't feel any juice from the team this past week and hoped the players are as fired up as the fans are. It was weird. I didn't feel it. The few clips i saw were a few players goofing around at practice with some music on in the background. It just baffles me about they don't realize how rare these moments are to be in position to win a Super Bowl. Win a damn home game.
  22. I said it last year after our KC meltdown and I'll say it again. As a Buffalo comparison, Allen reminds me of Dominik Hasek. A really unique, superb, special player. But even he won't be able to overcome how difficult it is to win a Championship for Buffalo. Once Allen moves on to his home state San Francisco 49ers in 2027 or beyond, he will win his Super Bowl, much like Hasek finally won when he moved on to Detroit...teams with Championship legacy. Sorry to be a downer, it is what it is.
  23. I didn't bother to look up the stats, but I've liked the Bills road games better than home this year and maybe even last year. It feels like the D are more dialed in on the road and the O plays a more ball control style. Again, I have no stats to back that up but it just felt that way over the past couple years.
  24. I see them making it but maybe Miami or the Jets win the division and Buffalo gets the 6 or 7 seed. The national media will be off the Bills bandwagon, and without the pressure of being Super Bowl favorites, the Bills will finally make their run and surprise people.
  25. This is just another example of why I don't believe in "Teams of Destiny" or good karma/bad karma, uniform superstitions, etc.. It's all nonsense when it comes to sports. There are many examples of A-holes like this guy winning Championships or teams that don't deserve to win, WIN it ALL.
