In the meantime start putting the feelers out at some of the other stops you made on the way. If I recall, the old job was worried about losing you, its very rare that you can go back, but it is not unheard of, I left my company 6 years ago, and after 4 years away they took me back at the new salary. That was lucky, but not unheard of. Check to see where the guy that hired you went, if he was happy with you, he may have something in the works at his new place. Bottom line, stay focused and keep your eyes on the exit.

Ed O'Toole came in 9th, he had held the ACC record for 3 years in a row, but at the race, the guy from Finland said something to him, he responded with "Yeah good luck to you too" but later he found out the guy wanted Ed to watch out for his first step. Ed stumbled at the beginning on the Finland guys foot and had to run through the pack to get back in. He always tried to start out in the lead pack and work off the shoulder of the lead runner and use his kick in the last part of the race. Great guy, we all miss him.

Years ago they developed these things called sunglasses....they serve two purposes, they cover your eyes and protect you from the harmful UV rays of the sun, in addition to that, they protect you from the death rays from wives/GF who are unable to see what direction you eyes are focused on. These "sunglasses" are found in any mall or drugstore, even 7-11 has them.
