You would think Belichick would have figured out the Jackson screen pass.
Buffalo's defense was on the field the whole game. They were down two players out of a total of 22 available. And the fumble putting them back out there was a killer. But they were going up against the most prolific offense in history (10 of 11 starters back), and they did what you could ask of them. They even scored a touchdown!
Losing Kelsay actually hurt the pass rush. But I think it was the sheer number of plays that tired our DTs, who were the source of a lot of the first-half pressure.
The O-line suffered on the last drive because Edwards was standing back in the pocket without the option of dumping it Jackson. The Pats knew this, and Edwards took too much time. But I thought they looked great - fast.
I agree with you.
Except that Bell was taking an increasing number of snaps with the first team and that probably would have continued if not for his back injury.
But other than that, you're completely right.

11-5, but I don't think we get far in the playoffs.
I don't know how time stamps on twitter work, but TO posted that at 10:13 am Friday.
PFT's post on the firing, the first it hit the web, was at 11:47 am Friday.
Maybe TO's twitter feed is the best news source available.
That's an interesting idea. What does a soon-to-be 24-year-old who may or may not have a degree from the University of Arkansas do for a job right now? Probably become an assistant high school football coach for $16,000 a year, right?
If Calvin Johnson is your standard for a real number one receiver, then there are maybe 5 in the league, and, granted Evans isn't one of them.
BTW, you do know he was playing against the Bills backups, right?
I'm right here. We were 7-9 last year, and we're a better team this year. We'll compete for a playoff spot. I don't know if we'll make it, but I see 7-9 as the floor this season.
1. There will be at least 11 non-Patriots teams to make the playoffs this year. We ask to be one of them.
2. In the fourth year of the Jauron era, this is the time for results, not "semi-rebuilding."
That is all we ask.
