Hey Tim, As a follow up to your post today, do you believe the Bills organization is looking for a "justification" to stick with Fewell, and all the stuff about spending up to $10 million a year was just bluster? And if so, do you think the whole crew (Brandon, Guy, Modrak) stick around if the Bills win Sunday?

I thought what happened with Holmgen is that the Bills approached him about coaching, and he said no. The Bills never asked him about being the GM. The Browns did.

Hell yeah on Jason Campbell! He's only 27, 14th in QB rating, 15th in yards, 14th in TDs without exactly being surrounded by the 2007 Pats or the 1999 Rams. And, he's had to deal with a different OC every year of his career. How many of those will be available?

How about some credit for George Wilson? He's now up to 11th in the league in interceptions.

I don't want to trade Lynch, but I think there are valid responses to your two points. First, playing well is not a reason to not want to trade him. After all, buy low and sell high is the most basic principle of business. Second, you might need two backs to succeed in the NFL, but you don't need two backs of the quality of Lynch and Jackson. And if you have a surplus that is being used inefficiently at one position and deficits at so many others, it makes sense to try to reallocate your resources. BTW, here are the YPC of the top two backs on the four best teams in the NFL: Minnesota: Peterson 4.5, Taylor 3.8 Indianapolis: Addai 3.7, Brown 4.5 New Orleans: Bell 4.2, Thomas 5.3 San Diego: Tomlinson 3.2, Sproles 3.3 I'm not sure how good any of those backs are, outside of Peterson.

We'd draft between 8 and 11. That lists teams alphabetically, instead of by draft tiebreaker.

It was Fewell who brought in Brohm. He could've stuck with Hamdan and made his own life easier. It's ridiculous that so many people think a guy who couldn't make an active roster deserves a shot.

What he didn't say is that a good line means you need to throw a lot of high draft picks at it.

The Ron Wolf way? Ron Wolf became Packers GM prior to the 1992 season. He immediately traded a first round pick for Brett Favre. And for the record, he used his other first round pick, Number 5 overall, on a DB, Terrell Buckley, who had a good-but-not-great career.

Mel Kiper (1:56 PM) Yeah, I think he can make an impact, but I don't think he's a franchise QB. He has good size. Good arm strength. Decent mobility. He really studies the game hard. He's constantly studying the game. I think that benefits him at the pro level. Probably a 3-4 round pick.
