  1. You right, I think that I'm going to switch to the Chargers this year, they even have an extra quality RB sitting on the bench.
  2. Wash down a couple of Tums with a Red Bull. That will settle your stomach and pick your ass back up all at the same time. Go Bills!
  3. I'll agree with Peter and billsoverdue. I think realistically that we begrudgingly accept a 6th rder in this year's draft.
  4. I f the Giants and the Eagles are both interested, maybe this will drive his value up alittle bit. I like the fact that two teams in the same division want him, this should be good for us.
  5. Yeah, he was caught from behind, way down the field. At the risk of being accused of drinking Marv's Kool-Aid, I liked the effort our guys were giving, you didn't see that a couple of years ago.
  6. I'd like to improve DT Tim Andersen's roster spot. He's a Donahoe boy.
  7. With all due respect daquix, I do think you have valid points but you also painted the darkest sceanario at the same time. When you talked about keeping veterans for their leadership you included McGahee, I know that had to be a typo. daquix, you started this post but let's give everyone the chance to be the GM, including yourself, and state what you would have done differently than what's happening now. We'll keep the salary cap out of it to a reasonable degree because none of us know what the hell we're talking about anyways. Me, I don't have a problem so far with what's been happening as far as the personnel changes. I'll state that I'm in agreement so far but from this point on I would try to upgrade all my draft picks except our 1st rder. * I'm expecting Spikes to be traded and I'm in agreement with that move also. Guessing at the compensation for him, hmm, I'd say a 5th rder, no lower than an early 6th.
  8. Nooo, your criticism would carry much more weight AFTER the draft and any other avenues that are available to us to improve the roster. While you got your crystal ball out, how will that 30 yr. old LB who came off a very serious injury and who has a big price tag going to do this year? Are you saying that we should count on him completely? I'm still pissed that we didn't empty the bank on Clements, that San Fran stole him! McGahee, hmph, don't get me started. I don't give a sh-- if he was the second coming of Jim Brown, I'm sooo glad that he's gone. Let's establish the benchmarks. At the end of the season, what will you consider it to be a successful one and what would you consider it to be an unsuccessful one?
  9. I expect it to be the Giants. We never have had much success trading with the Eagles, either they're too cheap or they still had a grudge against Modrak. I'd be satisfied with either their (Giants) 5th rder (#143) or DE Justin Tuck if he is healthy. He comes from good bloodlines too, he's a cousin of Adalius Thomas.
  10. I do agree that the season will be the barometer of how successful/unsuccessful we truly are. The truth be told, it's probably somewheres in between. I'm just thinking, and once again hoping, that we enjoy some success and post season play this year. Is that being unrealistic? If so, I wouldn't think by much. If we can accomplish that and have built a solid foundation for 2008 and beyond, then I believe that Marv & Co. have been highly successful.
  11. If he lands up at Friday's, you can bet it won't be in Buffalo with all the other fast food chains that we have. With all the bad publicity this idiot is trying to bring to Buffalo, I would love to see a couple hundred of gorgeous girls lined up in both endzones. Even without the bad publicity I would love to see a couple hundred gorgeous girls lined up in both endzones.
  12. I don't think it's farfetched at all. There seemed to be alot of people around wanting Cato June. Wasn't he a S at one point? Like it or not the past and current staff thinks Wire can play. Do you think that they might know something? Just asking.
  13. What are you suggesting, that we write off the season? This is a Bills' message board. There's a good chance that you are going to find Bills' fans on it. It's understandable that most folks here are going to be optimistic about their favorite team in the off season, as they should be. This is not the beginning of the season. If it was then the negative outlook would be more valid. Marv has done nothing but improve this team since he's been here. It's not where it needs to be but it's getting there. There is definitely areas of concern and need, no arguement there, but to sling mud at this staff is unjust. They are moving in the right direction, all the while keeping the team somewhat competitive and exciting. They have definitely improved the current roster and preparing it for even better success in the future. So, what's the beef? We don't have enough qualified players this year? Can we at least have a draft and see what happens after June 1st before we conclude what will happen for us this season and what kind of bum our GM is? Thanks.
  14. That's the beauty of Carriker, apparently he keeps his pads down low. I would to see him in a rotation with our other DTs plus use him like Richard Seymour. He would give us a ton of versatility. It would make one of our weaknesses a strength.
  15. I'm curious how the board would feel if we took the best defensive player on the board with our first pick but it wasn't for a position of need. Everyone feels that we have to have a CB, LB or a DT with our first pick. What if the best player was a S or DE when we pick? Should we do it? I say hell yeah. I would love to have Landry or Carriker. Players like these you make room for them.
  16. http://www.nfl.com/draft/profiles/2007/rouse_aaron http://content.hamptonroads.com/story.cfm?...1&ran=70998 He should be there in the 3rd rd. I'd like to see Buffalo draft this guy.
  17. The four areas of concern, DT, CB, RB, LB, were players from the Donahoe regime. Now, while some of these players were good, they were either looking for a big pay or were getting big pay. Age (see Sam Adams) and attitude contributed. Although we're sick and tired of changing our roster, I think Marv covered some major groundwork in his first year and still kept us competitive. There is still more work to be done but I think, and hope, that we still stay competitive AND make the play-offs. If this does happen then I think that it's been a successful season and us fans should be happy and confident in our future.
  18. Excellent point DrDankenstein.
  19. Why in the world wouldn't we change this roster? Was it better to pay Nate mega money to stay? Does coaching have ANYTHING to do with end results? All we did for the last several years was purge the roster, gather a few big names, signed a boatload of second tier players and NEVER had any competency or consistency with our coaching staff. Is it at all possible that we are better at the LB position than what meets the eye? What about DT? I don't think anyone has an accurate bead on McCargo's abilities. All people talk about is our defense. What about our offense? If we are just so-so on defense, can our offense make a difference? I agree that we have questions about our team but I don't think it should only be focused on the SAME questions.
  20. Don't we need a 5th rd pick first?
  21. I didn't get ANY response so I figured I'd change the title to this post involving the newest anti-Bill. I want to give him the credit that he deserves because he's what I had in mind when I wrote it.
  22. Yeah, his name is Adam Carriker.
  23. I forgot to provide the link. Here it is. http://www.newerascouting.com/index.php?c=18&a=55
  24. Although I'm not advocating for this RB I am advocating this type of teammate/attitude. Read the General Traits, especially the character and Competitive Nature/Leadership Ability areas. http://www.newerascouting.com/index.php?c=18&a=55
  25. No more glamour boys, no more malcontents. If you read today's posts alone then one can see the obvious. Marv is purging what Donahoe left behind and replacing them with players who are young, fast and positive attitudes. Who are the replacements? I don't know but they'll be players like Phil Hansen and Darryl Talley. There is no need to stress on what we are going to do or who are we going to pick. Marv has been nothing short of being solid since he's been back running the show and I don't expect for him to change now. We had an awesome draft and now we have the opportunity to have another draft with good quality picks, a better squad of players and an administration that has a year under their belts. Marv was a part of the glory years but he was a big part of it. His consistency has been just that, consistent. I have really enjoyed this off season more than I have in quite a few years. There is alot less tension and uncertainy facing us. We know what we need and we have the resources to address it. I also really look forward to the draft too and it's all because I feel that we're in good hands. Does any of this seem reasonable?
