'Explosion' of Swine Flu Cases Predicted
John Adams replied to Magox's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I will be writing messages to Dwight in civilization's ashes. "Dwight, you were so right: I saw zombies today. So sorry. Wish I had bought oil in March 2009 like you recommended. At least Jauron isn't coach anymore." -
'Explosion' of Swine Flu Cases Predicted
John Adams replied to Magox's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I don't even know if I had it. Like I said, doctors aren't testing for it. It's a flu. If someone gets it bad (see the symptoms) they treat it like a bad flu. All I know is that I had a high (for me) fever and was pretty wiped out and congested with sore throat for about 4 days. As it ebbed, I got a massive runny nose. Also some squirts but not bad on that front: I'm not generally one to have stomach-related issues. Basically, in the dead of Summer, I got a massive cold/flu. Wife had similar experience. Daughter has a higher fever (102.5) but less congestion. I took acetaminophen to combat the fever. Benedryl at night so I didn't drown in congestion. -

Speaking only anecdotally, if I had H1N1 (and I either had that or a pretty bitchin' cold), I wouldn't be too worried. Fever, beaten up for a few days being tired. Whatever. Buy stock in Scott's. Now I have immunity. Nah nah Dwight. -

My whole family probably had it including me. (Daughter is going through it now.) Feels like a cold (throuat/runny nose) with a high fever. Bit exhausting for a few days. Then it goes away and just leaves behind some runny nose. Doctors don't even bother testing for it. -
Anybody wonder, why the "blue" states
John Adams replied to stuckincincy's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Hmm. I hope both sides of the aisle usually don't get stuff done because the vast majority of "getting stuff done" costs me money and/or freedom. Not surprised that your're OK with that, just noting the difference. -

Tried it 3 years ago. Maybe I'll get them out again. (For THIS season? Ugh.) -

We may not make it to the Chargers game. (If only that was true last year.) -
That charger is a gargantuan nightmare! I have no trouble keeping the iPhone charged in the car. There are obviously car chargers out the ass. The issue is when I'm out walking around or god forbid, having a day of air travel. You can watch the battery drain before your eyes. Of course, part of the problem is that I want to be on it so much on those days that it drains faster.

No troubles syncing with Outlook here. They addressed that in an update over a year ago. Biggest issue is battery life. It blows. Mossberg has a Blackberry vs. iPhone comparison in the Wall Street Journal today. Some people thought they hated the (non) keyboard and then eventually got used to it. I have no trouble with it. iPhone seemed to win across the board in the comparison with the battery being its biggest flaw.

I would only get DirecTV for the NFL but I can't. Trees block the satellites. And before anyone asks, I've had multiple installers out including specialists. No dice. -

Everything but waiting until midnight to see the game sounds good. A) I won't stay up. B) What am I going to do? Remain in a media blackout all day Sunday and then wake up and watch the game at 5AM the next morning. -

I shop at a combination of Whole Foods and a local farmer's market. Since starting shopping at Whole Foods and the market, my grocery bill went up about 30%. But there is no comparison between the produce and breads at the local grocery store and Whole Foods/market. None. It's money well spent. Not because I care that much about pesticides (though I do) and processing (I do) and the corn-ing of our food (ditto). The produce is just that much better. I buy organic foods but not exclusively. -

Buttnugget's strategy was to start campaigning in Flo rida and ignore any momentum from the other states. Not sure if it was laziness or stupidity. Either way, it's easier in New York and he's relatively beloved there. -

Duh. This flu has been formulated to give immunity to most of the US. The next one, which will be more fatal, will be based on this same H1N1 formula but much more deadly. The thinking of the Illuminati is that the next one will kill a lot more of "them" than "us" because "we" will have more immunity. Then lava will flow like hot sauce in our rivers. Come on man. Follow the reasoning here. -

See how riled up you get in response to just one question? I feel sorry for you and your narcissism personality disorder and that's why I choose not to jump in every time you want attention. As I said early on, narcissism is the second most toxic personality disorder for me to deal with. Every interaction with you transfers a little of the "ick." Anyways, now you got your bit of attention--I'm sure your monkey is happy. -
