Good post pmr78 I agree. I think schemes are overrated myself. Players win games more than shemes and coaching more often than not. Once in a while the better team will lose due to coaching( Bills vs. Giants SuperBowl ) but most of the time it comes down to having the proper talent willing to play as a team. Sorry to beat the dead horse further but our lines, both of em', are short on talent.

Bills that should stay or go this offseason
JStranger76 replied to BillsFanForever19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That depends Berman. Kelsay is a DE and sometimes even average ones will get offered an outrageous contract. I'd keep him as long as it's a deal very similar to the deal Denny got. Also, it wouldn't hurt to take a look at Peterson Bflojohn, I agree. We have to explore all options because the positions we need the most are very weak this coming offseason(interior Oline, DT, and CB). All the other free agent CB's besides Nasty Nate are #2's at best. Sorry, McGee isn't anything more than a great nickle so hopefully Youboty can be a viable #2 someday soon. Also, I wouldn't mind seeing Gandy tried at guard either but we'll probably not get to see it. Then for TE, as long as we are not able or willing to incorporate them it would be a waste to get a Johnson or Graham at TE. -
The thing I hate most about the Patriots...

Just the reeking aura of gayness that is the New England Patriots. That's enough for me. -
Calvin Johnson Or Joe Thomas?
JStranger76 replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not that I don't believe Johnson is a special talent, but a LT has to block every play, where a WR isn't involved as much every play. I'd be torn, and sure, no pick is a sure thing but as for TOP FLIGHT Olineman, the chances greatly diminish the lower they are rated in the draft. Almost all ProBowl LT's were top 10 picks, while it is a little easier to "get lucky" with a WR. Now I said ALMOST all lineman, so I don't need a list of all the lower round guys playing well. As for LT, besides Matt Light, most Franchise LT's are top 10 picks. I guess in the end I wouldn't pass up "the best LOOKING chance" to grab a Franchise LT. If we somehow have the opportunity, DON'T PASS ON THOMAS!!!!!! Then we still need more help on the interior and DT, and then maybe LB and CB...........This is going to be a tough offseason. -
No spank you to Brad Butler. Sorry, JohnFromHemet, I know you thought he looked good in preseason, but so did Kyle Williams. Unless we are completely s**t out of luck aquiring a LT in the draft I'd like to continue to let Peters progress at RT. I DO think he would be very good at LT, but it would be nice to have both tackles considered Top 10 material........that won't be the case unless the situation ended up as Peters at LT and someone like Penn Sts Brown or maybe Max Starks from the Steelers at RT, although he is probably the least talented on the Steelers Oline.

To all of the brilliant minds out there

Not that coaching is overrated, but with the changeover year to year in the league today I think overall player talent is most important, just my opinion. Unfortunately, we are a little short in that area right now. Playcalling doesn't matter as much when you can't block the play or fight off blocks from your opponent. Sure, good coaching can mask these deficiencies, but only for so long. I like our overall team speed right now, but we ain't strong or tuff enough at the core yet( the lines )( or balls if you will ). -
The only time I remember a team letting a great Olineman go was when NO traded Roaf for a 2nd rounder cause Joe Horn banged his wife or somethin. You're right though, It doesn't happen. Hopefully the money will be used in other weak areas butb let's worry abouty that in some other thread............. We will have to get lucky in the draft to fix the Oline.

When Nate and I were doin' lines this offseason he told me this would be his last year as a Bill...........seriously though, I don't want a cornerback crisis either but I seriously doubt he'll be back and I'd at least like to know we got somethin. Also, McFarland may not be awesome, but he's definitely better than anyone we have at DT right now, including Larry "the bust'' Tripplett.

It's official....the Mike Gandy
JStranger76 replied to JStranger76's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree, and was hoping for the Peters move to LT all offseason with a veteran stopgap at least at RT. We could use a DT who could stop the run just about as bad as well. LT's can't be obtained with a quick trip to the corner drugstore unfortunately. I hope somehow we can at least make one of our lines a strength by next year. -
For the record East Brady, yeah, JP can improve quite a bit with his pocket awareness. That is only a small piece of the very imcomplete puzzle that is the Buffalo Bills.............from what KzooMike seen today, our WR's don't seem to be helping much either. Plus Gandy and our Dline suck donkey d***!

Unfortunately, we'll probably just miss getting that tackle by 2-4 picks in the draft and, guess what, LT's worth a damn don't hit free agency. I love it, we're @%$@ed!!!!!!! -
Too bad hockey sucks. Ya just can't win I tell ya.
-
I hope he dies.

This scheme only works when you are ahead. Remember the Steelers beat the Bears down last year when they had the lead and controlled the game? You need an offense that can at least carry the load if we are gonna have a chance with this D.

Clements??? How about Toast McGee
JStranger76 replied to Garranimal's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We beg and beg year after year, and nothing gets done upfront. Just because Mike Williams didn't work out doesn't mean you have to be gunshy, but even if upfront gets fixed, our corners still could use some help. -

JStranger76 replied to Garranimal's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I always thought McGee was never going to be more than a nickle corner but maybe thought he had proven me wrong after last year. We could use a couple more corners.......... -
I no longer believe in our philosophies

There ya go! I know you are kidding man, it's cool. No trade can be made to help us right now. -

JStranger76 replied to Rubes's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, we didn't stay disciplined in our lanes...........I'm sick of it too man. We are pathetic vs. the run and Larry Tripplett IS A BUST. What's worse, there ain't a damn thing we can do about it for the rest of the year. -
While I still have some hope for JP, it's time to start whipping his ass if he don't wake up and get some pocket awareness.

JStranger76 replied to JStranger76's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sadly correct, besides Peters maybe moving there, nobody on the roster now or ever will become better. Pennington and Butler.......please. That was drafting just for the sake of making a pick. I'm not greedy, but I'd just like ONE of our lines to become a strength. -
Yeah I know VABills, others could be called out as well, but you can only do so much in one post. I'm ready for a change at one position that we have a chance at upgrading RIGHT NOW.

Get Killwaukee Thomas out of there. Bites on the juke EVERY time. Time for some YouBOOTY anyways.

What happened to Roscoe Parrish?
JStranger76 replied to Albany,n.y.'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Who cares, it's the lines we should be worried about, not like anything will be done about it anyways......... -
Once again, our Dline are a bunch of sissies. The quick penetrating philosophy is horses**t. It doesn't matter what the size, we have nobody stout whatsoever.

New nickname for the Bills defense...

Or bend and then break. Or just plain bend over works just fine too.
