What kind of conservative are you?
TheMadCap replied to Peter's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Problem with The Chimp is that he is conservative only with respect to his moral code, not his financial agenda. He is very un-conservative in that regard. I am a moderate, who seems to be leaning more and more these days to the Libertarian type party. I am so disgusted with the way the two main parties behave, I vote against them on general principal... -
For the same reason traffic gets backed uo in I95 for four miles cause people are slowing down to look at a traffic accident For the same reason that people come out of thier house and gawk when they see a blue light down the street. For the same reason that people watch shows like COPS. Because deep down, most people like to see others in pain or hurt. Most people are selfish, clueless, mindless automotons. I hate people. Maybe the superflu will wipe the virus that is humanity from the Earth. Sorry, I'm feeling a bit melodramatic today...

Top ten things to do with the Guantanamo detainees

"sorry bout that" That's what the gov will tell a citizen who has been unjustly convicted of a crime, and released after years of confinement. Why should it be different for non-citizen suspects? -
Guy Cheney Shot had a heart attack

By the absolutely fantastic Mr. Philip K. Dick., author of Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep (Blade Runner), We Can Remember it For You Wholesale (Total Recall), and many other terrific stories... -
Yeah, well that's how they get you. They suck you in when you are little, and have no ablility to think for yourself. Unfortunately, not everyone figures it out for themselves, they just go on believing the same crap they're fed thier whole life, then pass it to thier children. Propagation of stupidity flourishes the same as hatred, from generation to generation...

Care to enlighten us as to what you find fresh and exciting?

Weren't they all super religious types though? That might have been why they got their panties in a wad. I remember when I was about 13, and the baptist church I was going to gave the congregation a paper explaining how all rock and roll bands were devil worshipers out to poison the minds of good little boys like me. Stuff like the old urban legends, KISS = knights in satan's service, Hotel CA was a church of devil worship, blah, blah, blah. I think that's when I started questioning what the hell I was doing there. I wiped my ass with that paper. In retrospect, I wish I would have kept it, it was pretty funny...

Yeah, and his nut-bag wife tried to censor our music too!

I seriously hope he was just pandering to the crowd. If he really thinks that, the man deserves a whippin...

It is quite sad what a bitter man McCartney has become. Unfortunately, with all his fame, fortune and glory (not to mention Knighthood) heaped upon him from his days as a Beatle, he has seemingly become quite arrogent these days. A classic case of believing your hype, although he DEFINITELY has earned the right to be a bit self-centered. It is just a shame to see one of my musical idols cry like a spoiled child when he doesn't get things his way...

Haha, he probably told him to "go F himself" and Cheney shot him! -
True. For what it's worth, I have never been more afraid for my life as when I was in Milan. Lake Como is really pretty. Very, very cool place to be...

American Olympians and French Berets?
TheMadCap replied to Vetriano's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The rudest people I met in Europe were actually Dutch and a few Italians. The folks in France were all pretty nice. If you at least attempt to communicate with them in thier own language and don't act like a complete ass you will be fine. Actually, had a great time in Paris hanging with some crazy Tunisian types drinking in the streets. People in Europe are simply amazed that you can get in serious trouble for drinking in public in the US. True Story: at the end of my Europe trip, I had to go back to Paris to kill a few days before my flight back to the states. I was staying with a girl the Tunisian types introduced me to. Unfortunately, when I got there, turns out I was out of cash. Thing is, you can get money with your ATM card in Europe, but you can't check your balance, cause at that time (before the Euro) all the different exchange rates made things extremely complicated. So I pretty much had to guesstimate how much money I had at all times. So I was out of cash for the next four days. The girl I was staying with was a student, and not much money, so I was seriously hurting. Lucky for me, I had bought this little 3/4 size acoustic for about 50 bucks before I left home to take on my journeys. Thing came in pretty handy, especially when I had to resort to sitting in the streets playing for my proverbial supper. I was also out of picks, since some thieving magpie had liberated me of mine in an Amsterdam hostel. This really nice guy just walked up to me, handed me a small pick, smiled and left. I still have it. The night I had to leave for the airport, my idiot friend forgot the last metro shuts down about 10pm. We were in Chatelet, which was about 60 minutes from the airport, and my plane was leaving in about three hours. After futile, frantic phone calls home, I decided to try one more time at the ATM and hope for a miracle. To this day, I can't explain how, but I was able to get about $100 from the accursed machine, and just made it to the airport (after unbelievably dangerous driving by an Egyptian cabbie I dubbed Lilly) in time for the flight... Oh and not all French girls are stinky and hairy. But most French, even the younger ones, still for some reason don't like to hang out with Germans... -
People actually listen to that clown and believe him with a straight face???

Someone actually wrote and published that article. How dare they! It's not what America wants to hear... LA LA LA LA LA...

You can't keep a good man down!
TheMadCap replied to Johnny Coli's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Ah yes, Tom Delay. When asked about the dangers of ozone depleating CFCs, his reply was, "the science behind the issue is still very much in debate". Nothing wrong with that statement right? Except he said it in 1996! In the words of Randy Marsh: "With all due respect Mr. Clique, desenting Republican, the economy won't matter...THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW" -
Is he the guy on the commercial with Kermit the Frog? If so, that guy can play the guitar...

Nah, they'll just keep stringing us along. Like Jerry told Elaine: "they'll dangle it (the dress, in this case, actually giving more info) in front of you like a dirt farmer dangles a carrot in front of a mule's nose"..

TheMadCap replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would suggest if you plan to really try and win money gambling, try one of the off strip type places, the ones most tourists don't go to. Check places like the Reserve, most locals go to places like that... -
