  1. The false starts and other offensive penalties have been a major concern that past 6 years and it seems nothing has changed. WTF? It's time to start benching people or releasing them outright--a message needs to be sent now. The QB's on this team really need to start chewing some ass out. Aren't they the leaders here? At least Jim had the balls to do this. Teams don't go to SB if you constantly play stupid.
  2. Angelo earned a starting LB job, no doubt about it. I get the feeling he should be playing over the TE solely because TKO is coming back from injury and will need to cover from day 1.
  3. Shaud should just go back to 40. Remember, once upon a time the NFL thought he was a FB but was actually Speedy Gonzalez in Bills colors.
  4. But who do we have to replace McGee? I was hoping Eric King would've done that by now. If one of our corners doesn't play as well as Nate and Terrance did in their 2nd years, we're going to have a bad year next season.
  5. LOL, you woulda thunk that those extra servings of brown gravy woulda done him in by now.
  6. Heh, you know how this board operates. If one person doesn't wake up with their rosebud's all puckered up, another will.
  7. Yes, but he's not old and in Depends; nor does he drool on hisself and thus isn't so easy to mock.
  8. CBS should just sell their NFL package cuz it looks like they don't really care what they're doing.
  9. Yes! I so want this guy to succeed too because his attitude has been lacking defensively lately.
  10. You know his playing days may or may not be behind him but I wish Marv and Ralph realize what an asset he WILL be as a DB coach!!! We need to keep this guy once he retires. It is coaches like him that help us win the SB!
  11. Seriously, I still don't understand why people on this board doesn't think JP should start. What good is having a 1st rounder on the sidelines and never find out if he can perform. It's a waste of time and money. We'd have to find out and move on with somebody else if he can't cut it. Everybody knows Kelly can play in this league because he's been here so long.
  12. I totally agree with you; this change just wasn't thought out properly.
  13. Indeed, having Crowell starting (after he earned it) is a smart move. This goes to show that the new regime has watched film and is starting to grade players accordingly.
  14. Leinart alone doesn't make us a playoff team but both Whitner and McCargo might or put us close. The offense needs more than just a glorified savior and that dunce knows this. An above average line and healthy running game will do more than just a Heisman trophy winner can.
  15. My thoughts initially, unless the team wants to purge big contracts but w/o knowing Ricard's terms, we can't really say for sure.
  16. When he and Ted paired together, you couldn't really call either one slim-n-trim but they got the job done nicely. Obesity is a dangerous health problem and something he needs to address now before he gets any older.
  17. I'm all about team and winning but we need to see what JP has or hasn't. Regardless of what his teammates may think, we need to find out now if he can cut it in this league. We all know he's going to have his growing pains and it was very stupid of the previous regime to anoint him the starter w/o having proved anything and then yank him just 4 games in. You can't go to the playoffs and win the SB with a very green starting QB--it has never happened and it looks like it never will!
  18. This contract shouldn't matter to Donte if he believes he's better than "the experts" have proclaimed so far. The really big money is his first free agent contract (or second if he's that good and lucky to get another).
  19. Why is Kingsbury even in camp if they're not going to use him?
  20. Marv is right, to a point. If Donte misses all of TC, then you can be he won't be starting. Four games isn't enough to learn the entire defensive playbook and he won't have any experience to bring to the regular season. I am not worried he won't be signed within the next week, however. Picks 1-7 have all signed with their teams so the money part of the contract doesn't really play into this. It has to be the length of it like so many other posters here have already mentioned.
  21. They had all summer to work out a deal, so what's the holdup?
  22. Wow, never heard about the coaches fighting with each other part.
  23. If Peyton can't play behind our line, who really can? Although, I must admit that we haven't seen what this new line can do, however.
  24. With recent deaths at TC's, you'd have to wonder why this isn't being addressed properly. I mean, people's lives are at stake here and millions of $$$ in team investments.
