  1. All Andrew Walter needs to become JaMarcus Russell is an ungodly contract, Robert Downey's makeup artist, and a couple of gallons of high fructose corn syrup.
  2. NBC showed footage of the two embracing before the game. It was the closest either will come to a true reach-around.
  3. Definitely UnreMarkus. Smith, under the right regime, could have been serviceable. He was abused, rolled in bacon fat and thrown to the wolves by the Niners. He played tough like a good soldier with a shredded shoulder and horrible protection then became Nolan the Suit's alibi for a lousy team and coaching that reeked like urine.
  4. I watched the whole game. He can throw 100 yard spirals, but has absolutely no touch or feel for the game. Overthrows short, long and everything in between. A marginal athlete with a ten cent head. Sacked himself late in the game. Only the Raiders would have paid this clown the ducats he stole. He makes decent receivers look way bad. Chiefs had the ball the whole game up and down the field and gave to the Raiders in the end.
  5. There were only two tackles that I can recall going head to head with bruce in his prime and usually negating his rush: Webb and Boselli. Bruce still held the point of attack in most instances against them and was a force against the run. And he abused HOF Munoz in the late 80s.
  6. The infamous college QB teammate really threw me. I focused on Billy Joe; for as maddening as RJ was, he had loads more balls than Gunrack (even if you spotted B-J a pair). I never thought of RJ as 'infamous', more like exasperating. I vaguely remember the name when he was a 49er. I had no idea he was a Bill (though I still suspect he was a practice squadder bouncing between teams). According to one of the pro football reference sites, he was active for one game as a Niner in '97.
  7. We're looking at 1995 because that's the only year Armour was on the Bills (Cline 95-97 , Marv's last year was 97). If he played with Gunrack, he wasn't on the active roster in 1995 (no Huskies on the 1995 roster). I doubt this guy was anything more than a PSer. He probably was plucked or signed as a FA, then let go and reacquired by the 49ers.
  8. Was this person ever on the active roster or a practice squader?
  9. An interesting link: http://www.magazine.uc.edu/0101/Gillman.htm
  10. Omits the father of film study and modern passing schemes - Sid Gilman.
  11. Neil Young was in a band with the Prince of Punk Funk, Buffalo's own Rick James.
  12. He didn't seem to be physically overwhelmed last year (mano a mano). If anything, movement is his issue. Not the most fluid of players, I hope the muscle he gained doesn't make him even more leaden.
  13. (My vote is for Tom Cruise.) Oops - I mean Katie Holmes.
  14. Probably. I was referring to your Freudian slip.
  15. Al Jackson, jr. Mitch Mitchell Max Roach WS Holland The guy on the King of the Hill theme song.
  16. Lou Piccone's 'Sounds of the Season' trumps 'I've got a Feelin'.
  17. Absolutely correct. I have to laugh when people justify keeping a receiver on the squad because he's a good blocker. JT was a 1b receiver to Rice and one of the most viciously physical blockers of any position that I've seen. He could take it 90 yards or obliterate a 'backer. Just a fantastic talent in the shadow of greatness. Didn't say much, always brought it on game-day and got out early. One of my favorite players ever.
