  1. Your probably right. NE would probably have a stipulation that the trade doesn't happen until they are on the clock. That way Miami wouldn't have the urgency to try to get to #2. Maybe Detroit traded Darius Slay knowing Gilmore was part of the deal.
  2. I doubt they would let Gilmore go. #23 plus Thuney plus Edelman plus next years first. They also have 3-3rd rounders and 2-4ths this year. NE and Detroit have made several trades the past two years and I think there is something to GMs/Teams having a level of comfort with each other, especially for a big trade such as this. It's just my bold prediction on draft day.
  3. You are right that Saban wouldn't play a QB he didn't like. He recently came out and said that if teams pass on Tua for medical reasons, they would be making the same mistake that he made with the Dolphins regarding Drew Brees. Tua is leap years better than the QBs you mentioned. I think Belichick is going to listen to Saben. It's just a bold prediction to fire up the draft juices. I could see Cleveland trading down, especially if they trade for Trent Williams. Their top need is OT.
  4. I mentioned players as part of the deal besides picks. Patricia and possibly Quinn are up against it for their jobs. Getting established players that can contribute now may be more appealing than picks.
  5. Ok, time to go out on a limb here. NE trades up to #3 and picks a QB. They have very close ties to GM Quinn who was in their organization for 15 years and also to Patricia. I could see Joe Thuney or Edelman as part of a deal with multiple picks. Since Saban loves Tua and is tight with Belichick, Tua would likely be the target. I hope it doesn't happen but it makes a lot of sense to me. Flame away.
  6. I agree. I will be shocked if Tua is not a Dolphin. The fan base has been so set on Tua for so long that there could be riots in the streets if they pick Herbert.? I think they probably pick him at #3. This whole business about trading up for an offensive lineman is a crock of ...
  7. Thanks for the hard work. I like Taylor as well but he has fumbled quite a bit more than the other top prospects.
  8. Now that the NFL will not test for marijuana, he is good to smoke all the weed he wants. He smoked pot before every one of his NFL games.
  9. Probably true but Lombardi's opinion does carry some weight due to his previous GM work. He was also one of the few guys who had lamar Jackson over all the other first round qbs in 2018. People do value his opinions.
  10. King is a good journalist and isn't doing BB's leg work. I don't question his integrity. He is mocking Tua to the Patriots and at the same time pointing out Tua's flaws. Maybe it's wishful thinking on his part so that his prediction comes true.
  11. Mike Lombardi, a Bill Belichick disciple, has taken to the airwaves calling Tua brittle and not a top QB. Could the evil empire and Darth Belichick have anything to do with this? Lombardi seems a bit defensive when asked that question. Peter King, who follows the Patriots closely predicts that Tua will drop into the range that NE trades up for him. Lombardi King
  12. I could see that. I think CB or DE/Edge makes most sense with 2nd rounder. I would resist the urge to go RB until round 4 or later unless one of the top guys falls to 86.
  13. I wish we would have moved up a few picks to get Arnette. With Dallas going DE in round 1, there was no way he was getting by them in rd. 2. Good RB can be had later. I would vote for DE here. Okwara has a lot of upside and wouldn't need to start right away.
  14. Do you have toilet paper?
  15. My fear is that he goes to NE and takes over for Gronk, pounding us for the next decade.
  16. The Bills are in a good position. I hope they stay put at 54 or if they have multiple players they like, they could trade down a few spots. I wouldn't be surprised to see them get a #2 CB. Would love to see Jaylon Johnson slide a bit since he had shoulder surgery following the combine. Arnette could also be there. WR still a possibility as is DE. The TE from Missouri is also a good player who would go well with Knox. Should be fun to see what happens. If an OT falls, I could see them go that way but the OTs are going to go fast and furious.
  17. I was there. I can still hear Rich Stadium echoing the chant Shraaaayder Shraaaayder. Every time Jay Schroeder came on the field, his last name would echo through the stadium and he would inevitably throw a pick or fumble or do something bad.
  18. Lamar Jackson is not an NFL quarterback. Bill Polian
  19. With the 105th pick, the Minnesota Vikings select Jabari Zuniga DE/Edge Florida. @H2o and the Ravens are up with the last pick.
  20. First, thank you for putting this together. It's not an easy task. I think the 4 hours is too long. You may have 10 picks in 4 hours or none. If you make a pick and your next pick is 32 picks from now, it's hard to potentially plan for 1-2 days from now. I've done this twice but was never involved in a trade. Trades add a new level of complexity and would probably make it even harder to do with a shortened time frame. Maybe do it over 1-2 days max and shorten the interval. If your not there to pick, you get skipped. Just a thought, but you know better than I.
  21. I thought about taking him at pick 89 but was hoping he would slide to the end of the round. I heard Belichick was paying close attention to him at the senior bowl.
