Edwards & Losman debate finally over?
Ramius replied to marauderswr80's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ummm, try to come up with a well supported opinion. Then maybe people will give what you post a second thought. Come up with some arguments on why it would be advantageous for the Bills to draft Tebag over other positions of needs, and more importantly, entertain us as to why you foolishly think tebag will actually succeed in the NFL. -

Wilkins Ice Shelf under threat
Ramius replied to elegantelliotoffen's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
My biggest complaint with the "man-made global warming" crowd is they seem unable to account for any other possibilities or factors that may be involved, which is why i question the science. (like the fact that there have been numerous CO2 spikes throughout history, to levels much much higher than what they are currently at) The "experiments" they conduct cannot be falsified and seemingly do not take into account other factors that may be at risk. To me, there's enough reasonable doubt as to the level of our impact on the current warming trend. Saying that man can can control the climate of the Earth is like saying that Niagara Falls could be shut off if we all stopped pissing in Lake Erie. Man-made global warming is more of straight up human arrogance in thinking that we can and are the major factor affecting something as big as climate change. Its right up there with thinking we can "destroy the earth" and thinking that humans are the end goal of evolution. -
No, i dont bet college ball at all, except some friendly bets with some of my close friends throughout the season. The final on saturday will most likely be something along the lines of 42-13 UF.

Wilkins Ice Shelf under threat
Ramius replied to elegantelliotoffen's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
As someone else with a science background, I completely agree with DC Tom and Wacka on this issue. (i dont agree with his politics, but Wacka knows his science). And to connor, please explain why your little global warming religion buddies never show data prior to more than 100 years ago or so? Why are we warming? -The last glaciation period ended a mere 10,000 years ago. Guess what happens after we experience cooling? We warm. -We had the little ice age which ended around the late 1700's. That means it was very cold. Care to hazard a guess as to what happens after a long cold spell? Also, please explain why the temperatures during the medieval maximum were pretty much the same as they are today? Must have been the Vikings and their damn diesel longships or all the SUVs that the peasants in Europe were driving. -
I couldnt tell the difference between either QB yesterday. We got the exact same play in the 1st and 2nd halves. But on the pass to parrish (i assume you meant the one in the endzone), that pass had to be a bullet. You cant soft toss a short pass across the middle of the field in the endzone. The pass was right there, but the defender got his hand in there. You can blame other stuff yesterday on JP, but NOT that pass.

Because, somehow, the coputers decided that OU is better than 12-0 Alabama. I don't care what any team looked like. If you go unbeaten in a major BCS conference, and there are no other major unbeatens, you should be #1 across the board.
-
If you can't understand why UF is a 10 pt favorite, then you haven't seen either team play over the past 1-1.5 months.
-
Ummm, to anyone actually watching the game, we got the exact same play out of our QB in both the first and second half. Without looking at the # on the jersey, i would have told you that the same player started and played the entire game. That doesn't say much about either QB.

Of course the NCAA cares about the welfare of the student athlete. That is why they changed the D1 baseball season so most teams are playing 5 games per week now.
-
Steely, what in the blue hell are you smoking to think we can win 3 of 4 to finish the year? I mean, honestly, please list the reasons that make you honestly believe that this team can win 3 more games. I see 7-9 at best, because we'll sneak out a win somewhere, along with at least 2 blowout losses.

People seem to have forgotten than in his first 5 years in the league, the only thing newsworthy about haynesworth was the fact that he stomped on gurode's head.

Seriously? The NFL is going 3D and the best they can do is offer a steaming pile of monkey crap chargers-raiders game? Were they disappointed they couldn't get a chiefs lions game to show in 3D?

Trade Roscoe Parrish during the offseason??
Ramius replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
To those wanting to trade roscoe, please explain to me the difference between a solid WR like Josh Reed, who will get you 4-5 catches and 50 yards every game, and Roscoe, who will get you 3-4 punt returns for a minimum of 50 yards per game. To me, they are just as valuable. Also Roscoe still has value as a WR as he's come up with quite a few decent catches in his tenure here. Sure he's not an every down player, but he has value as a weapon. A team like the pats* would turn roscoe into a good one. -
FLA gay adoption ban determined unconstitutional
Ramius replied to Johnny Coli's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
They do the same in florida. We had an amendment to vote for illegals owning property or not. It took me half an hour to decipher what they were asking. It was something like, "should the state ban a provision to the revision of the consititutional inhibition that illegals are not never allowed to not own any property none of the time?" -
They're watching their calories.

Dont forget lizard (USC) and Spock (any SEC team)

You're right on. LT HAS always been overrated. I mean, they pimp this guy like he's some phenomenal sort of HOF back. All he's done over his 1st 7 years in the league is average over 2000 yards from scrimmage and 15 TDs per season and miss a total of 1 game. Those guys are a dime a dozen in the NFL.

and here all this time i thought the motorcycle wasn't invented until the late 1800's.

yesterday in wal-mart some fat ass woman on a motorized cart yelled at me when i was turning into the next aisle. told me that "she had the right of way," so i was just supposed to back my cart up, go back into the aisle i had came from and let her pass. When i got into the next aisle, a girl who had seen what happened said to me, "maybe if her fat ass would get up and walk around the store, she wouldn't need to get in everyone's way with her cart." Carts are for the elderly and the disabled, those who really have trouble getting around, not for some fat piece of trash that is too lazy to push around a cart of fried chicken, potato chips and diet coke.

I can easily see Tennessee wanting to keep him. The question is will he take their offer, or see what he gets on the open market. I'm guessing either way he's looking at 10 mil per year.

debt incurred from education is meaningless. the easiest thing in the world is to defer school loans or get an "income-based" repayment play where you are paying .65 cents a month for the first 8 years.

Haynesworth WILL have a chance at UFA. The deals of his tag were that he wouldn't be tagged again if he hit 1 of 4 requirements. At this point, i believe he's hit all 4. He may choose to stay with tennessee, but they can't tag him again.
-
At this point, i have no clue what you are even arguing about anymore. The original premise of the thread was dumb as hell, and since you got called out, your post topics have been spasming back and forth like an epileptic.

Since Jimmy Kennedy was a high 1st round DT (12th overall), does signing him somehow affect our draft equity and make us super bowl contenders?
