Dark Knight Rises - Midnight Screening Roll-Call
ajzepp replied to ajzepp's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Glad you saw it...sounds like you felt about it as I did. Agree about the acting...JG-L is one of the top 10 best character actors in Hollywood, and on my list he's probably top 5. His body of work shows a TON of versatility...he's able to expertly portray the helpless romantic greeting card writer in "500 Days of Summer", to the pot smoking, hell raising "Hesher", to the heartless, cavalier thug with the itchy trigger finger in "Killshot". I really wonder if people are taking note of his resume here, cause it's very impressive. -
The 2011 draft was REALLY interesting, cause several of those QBs went way before they were slotted pre-draft. I think many of us thought for sure we'd have a shot at at least a couple of them after the first round, and even into possibly the third round, but teams pulled the trigger early. Two other names that the Bills have been high on this year were Kirk Cousins and Nick Foles. Both have shown well this preseason, and I think they will remain on the Bills watch list. I think now that we have some young talent and some semblance of depth, the Bills would be more likely to consider trading draft picks for back-up QBs that seem to be transitioning well to the pro game and/or someone they may have missed out on the chance to draft. We really need Fitzy to make this whole thing a moot point, though....so get ur stojan together, 14.

Fitz is our guy as of today...there will come a time when he's NOT the guy if he doesn't get back to the way he was playing in the first part of last season. Some of the guys we talk about may not be available right now, but they very well could become availalbe in the future should we (that is, Nix and Gailey) start to lose confidence in Fitzy. I want nothing more than for Fitz to lead us to the playoffs and beyond....but with the amount of talent we're putting on the field, especially young talent, there will come a point where we (again, we meaning Nix and Gailey) won't allow an underachieving QB to hold us back.

Anthony Ortolani doesn't deserve to own a dog
ajzepp replied to Beerball's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I didn't read any of these stories you guys are talking about cause if I did it would take me literally days to get my mind off of it...but I support and agree with this sentiment 100%. I even have little harness/sack things that I configured at my apartment in case there is ever a fire so that I can lower my dog to the ground before I jump out. My dogs are my kids (in lieu of actually having kids, in this case) and I treat them as such. People who are so willing to accept the unconditional love that dogs provide, and then turn their backs on them so quickly, are heartless. I'm not advocating ever choosing a dog over a human, and that's mainly because that's how the DOG would have it. -
Colt McCoy has the potential to be a (very, very) poor man's version of Brees. The kid has less than ideal measurables, shows some flashes of big time playmaking but otherwise just can't find consistency, then gets shuffled to the back of the line by his respective team. I don't think for a minute Colt will do what Brees has done, but would I take a chance on the kid? Hell yes. From what I've seen of McCoy, he's got some mental toughness and determination. That can go a LONG way toward driving your physical game to maturity. They had already drafted his replacement, though, so it wasn't a matter of him being difficult and the team going another direction as a result..they didn't want him as their long term solution.

Well, if you were dating a girl who was the picture of perfection and in seemingly excellent health, but then one day you happen to be sharing a moment of intimacy and notice a small little herpetic lesion on her privates, do you think you'd spend most of your time focusing on how beautiful and great-smelling her hair was? Or would that unwelcome little imperfection be getting the majority of your attention? I don't want to speak for Jim and anyone else who may also be of similar mind on this, but for me, I'm pretty much focused on getting rid of the thing. But out of respect for my fellow TBD'ers, I will refrain from making any further comment on the girls until such time as there are new developments that may be pertinent to the discussion. -

I think we're 100% justified in being a little selfish and wanting the limited amount of time we have left with the world of Heisenberg to be spent focusing on the most entertaining and intriguing elements...there's just no room for these two in that world anymore dammit!!! -

Oh, well let me clarify then....I'm having fun on a CHARACTER level only...I, too, find both actresses phenomenal...I just want their characters to slip and fall into a giant Ron Popeil vegematic In real life I would never wish for an ounce of harm to come to a single hair on their lovely bodies. -

Why do you assume that just because Jim and I want either her head blown off or for her to be dissolved in a vat of acid (note: these do not necessarily have to be mutually exclusive) that we object to her presence on the show? Besides, didn't you see in the preview for Sunday's episode that Walt isn't in the meth business? He's in the EMPIRE business....and in that business there is no room for tedious marital nonsense. -

All I know is that having your m/s twin scenario in the back of my brain will make this episode much more fun than it would have been otherwise lol. -

lol...this will be the first time EVER that I actually want to see Marie get some face time. I want her to drag every single bit of it out of Skylar, and then I want Walt to find out. That will lay the groundwork for your M-60 scenario, Skylar (and hopefully Marie) will be dissolved in a plastic container full of acid and flushed down the crapper, and we can go into the last 8 episodes focusing on what we all care about and are interested in above all else - Walt, Jesse, and Heisenberg. -

True...I'm just anxious for them to open it up a bit I guess. I did love the TD catch and run by D.Jones...very nice. -

I just wish these preseason efforts were a tad bit more entertaining. I really don't give a flying fart if we win the games or not, as long as we're good to go by week 1 of the regular season...but seriously, can they not give us SOMETHING to enjoy watching a replay of? The VY bomb was a thing of beauty, but I'd really prefer to see our starters making a courtesy play here and there in honor of the fans. -
lol, ahhhh, the good days....circling the Miami games on the schedule every year when the season came out...listening to WCMF as they decide which billboards to put up in Miami before we show up...ruining their playoff hopes every year...I want this rivalry back!!! We sure don't! Their butterface ratio is really low....almost non-existent!

Aw, hell...no, I didn't even look at the first page of this thread...I just went to the most recent post. I'll make it up to you, though You guys should change the thread title so we know about it...I would have been happy to use it if I'd known about it. -
Exactly! At least with Jauron he causes us to suck for an even longer period of time than necessary, so we could hate him for that...if only the dolphins could have hired HIM to be their coach...this Philbin guy seems like the type who may even go to CHURCH!!! Geesh, they have fallen so far since the days of JJ...
-
YES, thank you!!! i could feel the hatred welling up inside me for the first time in many months when I read that....I had to separate those feelings from the feelings I had to punch you in the face, of course, but yes...now we're cooking with gas!!! Much appreciated! Thank you, this is very helpful! You didn't hate them during the JJ years?? I need to work on his more...when he asked if Dez Bryant's mama was a whore, that made me laugh....it's hard for me to hate people who make me laugh, even if it's through their own idiocy. But I will work on it.
-
Hmmm....yeah, I could try hating them for their weather, but since I live in Atlanta it's not enough....there's just gotta be SOMETHING about them that I can hate. I can't believe this is so hard.

NFL Preseason Live - Watch Games Online
ajzepp replied to Mike in Syracuse's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Saw tonight's game wasn't live, so i went ahead and signed up for this today....found a 15% coupon, so it cost me a little over $12....not a bad deal at with three games remaining. I thought it would be available on my Kindle Fire, but cant' seem to find the app....so I'll just watch on my laptop. I tested it out by watching some of last night's games, and the image looks quite good....should be a good way to see the entire game tonight. -
I need some help here...even when the Dolphins had guys you can ultimately respect off the field, one thing still held true - we hate those fuggers. Over the last few years, the Pats and Jets have done a more than adequate job of providing us with ample reason to really let the hate and disgust flow. Belichick, Brady, Twinkletoes Ryan, Revis, Bart Scott, Welker, etc, etc...hate all those dbags, and that's how it should be. But what's with Miami? Instead of going out and finding us a Bills-hating QB that we can throw things at when they come to B-lo for home games, they go out and sign a couple relatively likable chaps in Garrard and Moore. To add further insult, they go out and draft a clean cut "all-American" type with an uber hot wife...and they both end up working with charities and signing hats for disabled children on Hard Knocks....DAMMIT man....on top of that they settle on a coach who recently lost his son, seems to be very fair, humble and ethical, and again, makes it REALLY hard to dislike him. So I need some help from you guys, cause there is no way I'm going into this season without a proper dose of hatred for these aholes. I thought for a minute there was some hope when Ocho headbutted his woman, but then they go and cut the guy the next day....COME ON ALREADY...can't get a break! As of now, my only hope is that they start the season like 10-0 so that those 1972 jerkoffs can come out of the woodwork again and rear their ugly noggins. Gimme something here, guys...anything.
