Any argument where you have to use "if only...." is a losing argument. And by "surrounding cast" I'm talking about more than the skill positions. Brady's losses to the Giants are HUGE dings to his record, especially the first loss against a 10-6 team.

Brady is too dependent on a surrounding cast to be considered the greatest of all time. I'd put Peyton, Montana, and Elway ahead of him in terms of greatness...and in terms of pure QB ability, I'd also put Mario in front of him. Brady fails to maintain a level of greatness in the face of a solid pass rush, as was evidenced in the last two Pats SB appearances against less talented Giants teams. If you pressure Brady, he's anything but great.

Im with you, Damond...I haven't focused in on him all that intently, but the times when I've tried to check him out on certain plays he seems to have done a very solid job. I love the idea of Hairston at RT....by mid-season our line will be pretty damn solid, IMO.

dr Will is the gold standard for me, as well. The thing that people forget is that there was no power of veto in S2. Dr Will couldn't take himself off the block, he had to strategize a way to get the other house guests to vote out the person sitting next to him each time. That was truly impressive. WTF, is "strategize" not a fuggin word anymore? Why am I getting the evil red line underneath it when I type it?

Agreed. He'll be a solid #2 in the even that Fitz gets it together and keeps it together, or if Fitz can't get it done then Tavaris will be a good transitional QB until we trade for or draft a legit starter. As for TT, I don't see a place for him here anymore.

I liked the Jackson move when I first heard about it, but the more I've thought about it the more I love it. I wish TT all the best, but Chan basically said it in his press conference that TT has given him zero confidence that he can be consistent in any way. With this being a make or break year for Fitzy, Tavaris gives us a legit, viable option at the #2 spot in terms of his ability to come into a game and lead us to a win. I think we'll look back at this season when all is said and done and consider throwing TT under the bus that TJax was driving one of the best moves we made for 2012.

I agree. Especially when not five mins after he took the shot, he came up with the notion that he could just get the names from Lydia. That's one aspect of the scene I really thought was important, because it was indicative of Walt's propensity to act without thinking now, whereas before that was, well, unthinkable. Next week won't be the same without Mike around, that's for sure.

lol...the ironic thing would be if Walt finally gets around to that, but it's like episode 8 of the 2nd mini-season so I can't even enjoy his handy work! Absolutely...Walt has hit new heights of selfishness with regard to Jesse. If he was willing to allow Jesse to run his own, separate cook, then clearly Walt can replace Jesse with Lance without too much of a problem. I keep going back to Walt's very intense comment to Jesse about how he's in the "empire business". Well, when you think about the sort of environment that exists in an empire, it doesn't bode well for Jesse to do something that would like like AWOL status to Walt.

He was becoming my favorite player until just recently...when he's called out on something or when he's in a position to have to defend his actions, he goes into berzerker neurotic mode and can't seem to function. Another thing about him....

I've seen em all except S1, and I don't know that I've ever seen a better move. That was a complete 180degree turnaround for him....it'll be interesting to see if this whole "swearing on the bible and his ring" stuff holds true and he remains loyal to frank. For those who aren't following the feeds tune in tomrrow to see...

Man, I love this time of year....really looking forward to survivor, but also college football starts THIS week, and then the NFL kicks off the following week...so stoked!!

I was really pissed when we let Jabari sign elsewhere...he was a great locker room guy and he was truly coming into his own as a solid CB.
