Unfortunately that hair cut isn't possible on my head anymore

Wow, I can't imagine how awesome it would be to watch the match in an English pub...one day I'll be there!
-
No joke....this is awful! Last night I was setting my DVR to make sure it recorded every World cup Live broadcast so I can see highlights from the games I miss. I wasn't working for the '06 Cup, so I won't be able to see every match like I could then (that was AWESOME!). But I agree man, it's going to be AWESOME!!!

lol, funny you say that....now I LOVE Philly and Jersey girls....but when I used to visit my parents in Chicago, I was AMAZED at the quality of women downtown....I couldn't believe how many pretty girls were downtown during the week. I remember my train getting in at the station and while I was waiting to catch the double decker public train thing out to Lisle, I saw SO many hot chicks....unreal

why is Jamon Meredith being ignored
ajzepp replied to milehiLou's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I know a lot of GB fans seemed upset to lose him, but not sure yet that the guy is going to man one of our tackle spots for the next ten years. -
I didn't get to see the game, but by the looks of the damage, it was probably pretty evident which team was more talented....I considered this game a must win for the FLyers, so now I dunno....I think the 'hawks just put us down for good after this win. I still think it'll go 7, but I can't see us winning in Chi-town anymore
-
Wow, unreal....this series is goin' 7 for sure. Good win by the 'hawks. EDIT: Just confirmed no injury for Leighton....fuggin STUPID move taking him out. The guy would have gotten it together. Dumb, dumb, move.

I know what you mean. I'm quite smitten with BDs, myself. It's hard to watch upscaled DVDs, although I do still do it from time to time. You want to see an impressive BD? I just watched my first Steve McQueen film..."Bullit" What a ride! The transfer was very, very nice, and the sound wasn't half bad either. Of course, it has the famous car chase through San Fan, but even being over 40 years old, it still held up VERY well. My next trip back in time will be to watch The African Queen. This film is being drooled over my reviewers for it's transfer, so I can't wait to fire up on the 133" widescreen. I'm infatuated with old movies with great transfers lately...it makes films from the golden era seem so much more real to me, almost like I'm in a time machine. BTW, anyone who has Netflix streaming, check out one of the greatest films of all time....The General, starring Buster Keaton. I have this in my queue and haven't watched it yet, but I did see a few clips and I was blown away! This guy is like a 1930s American Jackie Chan! Gosh, how anyone can not love movies....

I can't see the game tonight..."watching" online. Why did they take Leighton out??? Was he injured or was it because the 'hawks lit the lamp a few times on him? If the latter, that was STUPID. I just don't agree with taking this guy out after one period. He's already accustomed to the 'hawks game, you just don't switch to Bouchet like that. If there wasn't an injury involved, I'm pissed!

Very cool....let us know how you like it, and don't forget to use the mail system too once you get going, even if you just mainly use it for new releases....it just gives you more options to have around for when you're in the mood for a flick, you know?

Amen, Count! It makes me physically ill when people downplay or dismiss the sacrifice that our fellow brothers and sisters make for the rest of us, regardless of your political stance. Like many of you, I come from a long line of vets going back to WWII and it's something I've always taken a great deal of pride in. These folks never know what they're getting themselves into when they sign up, so I don't care if they cook food or are on the front lines...they deserve our respect and appreciation. God bless our soldiers and God bless the USA!!

lmao, you must have ended up with a HUGE collection brah lol

I've been so frustrated by our lack of advancement on offense for SO long, that I'm just playing the waiting game on that side of the ball...when they finally get consistently good, then great. I'll be happy as hell. But when you think about this defense, there is SO much uncertainty about it, that I find myself getting very excited about seeing them hit the field in September. Not only do we have a change back to a 3-4, which, like many of you, I've always preferred....but we've got a new HC, new DC, new coaches on that side of the ball, a new scheme, new positions for some of our regular players, new positions for some of our rooks, new proven players from other teams....holy CRAP! Aside from our secondary, which is obviously one of the best in the NFL (thank God Jauron left us with something!), this defense could end up being anything from total crap to totally dominating! I'm really interested to see how some of our unproven guys like Moats, Troupe, and Coleman do...these guys have such huge upside, it's going to be fascinating to see who blossoms and who fizzles. I even forget that we also have new established players like Dwan Edwards and Andra Davis on board. You add in Reggie Torbor from this weekend, and then think about our established guys like K.Williams, K. Mitchell, Poz, and others, and there exists a really nice mix of vets on this defense to help temper a lot of these rookie mis-queues we're certainly going to have. This is the most upheaval and change we've had on our defense in a long damn time....anyone else excited about the possibilities, or are you guys mostly afraid of the unknown?

The thing that kills me is that people talk about other services like Amazon and Red whatever, but they forget that the streaming service from netlix is fuggin FREE lol. Hell, I remember having conversations with Rico YEARS ago about the value he was getting out of the service...he coudln't even watch what he wsa renting it was so much. Same is true for me...the mail order service alone is a HUGE value for what they charge, even when they ask another buck or two per MONTH for having access to blu-ray. But the streaming aspect is totally FREE and ulimited for subscribers who have anything but the bare bones plan. That's partly why I get so excited about this whole thing, cause even if were still just the mail service it's saving me a LOT of money from going to blockbuster or hollywood. So when you all of a sudden make available to me hundreds or thousands of titles - movies, tv shows, documentaries, etc, etc, etc - in addition to an already great service, and then NOT CHARGE ME FOR IT, holy crap man....what better value is there in entertainment these days? I don't see how anything comes close to what Netflix offers.

That's the same problem we had in WC06...err, one of the problems we had. I don't understand why they don't see that. It's been a problem for a while now.

Any Philly area folks heading to the Beer Expo today?
ajzepp replied to The Poojer's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Aw, man, I used to drink that stuff like water back in Philly...no aftertaste at all, nice and cold from the tap....mmmmm -
You'll be thrilled with it, my friend. That's how I watched every single episode of Lost, Seasons 1-5. As the good doctor said, it gives you a menu that includes each show from that season. Couldn't be easier. The available titles are also become much more attractive. Usually about half of what they have listed are movies I haven't herad of before or that just didn't look good to me. When I scrollled through it the other day, I couldn't believe the films that were available! You won't get new releases, obviously, but you'll get more good stuff to watch than you could ever get through.

As I've gotten older, that's become about the only time I ever drink beer anymore - with good food. There's nothling like a cold beer to go with a nice meal. I used to drink beer all the time by itself, particularly during game day, but not so much anymore. It's pretty hard to resist, though, when you're staring at a nicely cooked steak or some wings. -
Dude, enough with these immature euphemisms. I will say, though, that they better be careful not to explode premturely...and that doesn't just mean when we have Wood in there...that also goes for Wang pulling and whenever we need a handgartner. We've had enough problems with penalties, you know?

Flyers picked ME, lol
-
I'm sort of glad that happened, cause if we would have held that 4-1 lead, they may have gotten complacent for the next game lol. That was pretty scary how fast they scored those two, for sure. Hopefully it scared the Flyers too, so the next time they have a lead, they'll put their foot on their throats and not give them any hope of getting back in the game. If it cant be the Flyers, I'd love to see the Sabres in the finals...it wouldn't be the same for me, but I'd still be happy to see B-lo get a championship....talk about deserving! And at least that way I could route for a team in peace on here!!!

Interesting....which is the top rated African side? I love watching teams like Nigeria and Camaroon play, so I wonder what sort of showing they'll have. Ghana obviously did well last time around...I'm almost surpirsed that Freddy isn't playing for them after all his ups and downs. I can't fuggin wait!!
