  1. Another good resource would be www.audiocircle.com I think they have a "vinyl circle" there where you should find plenty of good help and advice.
  2. could you IMAGINE? I would go apeshiit if they ever won the cup. Let's not forget the upset against Spain in the Gold Cup (or whatever that was lol), and the fact that they put up TWO goals on Brazil in the final before finally being overtaken by arguably the best team in the world. You may be right, pete...this team may take their shot if they make it out of the group stage
  3. I'm really disappointed with that match....almost as much as the US result. Air Klose is my favorite player and it's goign to such having to watch them play Ghana without him. Hopefully Schweinsteiger and the younger crop of players will be prepared to come in and take three points....can't imagine the elimination phase without them! I cannot WAIT for Wednesday...I'm off that day from work, and it's going to be a morning and afternoon of (hopefully) awesome futbal! If the US and Gemany don't have a spot secured in the final 16 by Wednesday at 4:30, I'm going to be really bummed!
  4. Glad they're doing SOMETHING about it....unreal. Seems to me he was right about there being a penalty, he just got the jerseys mixed up!
  5. I agree! If we could just get this officiating cleaned up, we'd be all set! Three goals in the 2nd half was a very impressive showing by the US today. I loved seeing Bradley's aggressiveness on his goal, and PrimaDonovan showed up for the second time in two games. His game is more complete than ever, and he's really doing a good job this time around of being a leader. Edu's goal was also very nice...should have counted on the score board! I don't know about England advancing. I think we put up a couple on Algeria and advance, and I'm looking for the upset by Slovenia over England. They just aren't all that impresive, and Rooney seems lost. I can't believe Air Klose got hit with the red card....Germans are at risk for not advancing, but I think they'll recover and be okay. But you're right, Gringo....this WC is interesting as hell and getting better every day!
  6. The songs you guys requested were on the same album, so I just went ahead and bought it. I also added "The Longest Road" since it seems to be pretty popular. This music is just awesome....
  7. I find myself beginning to believe in the Gospel according to Crayonz
  8. I'm so glad to hear a few others say this, lol....I think it's almost laughable how sloppy and unskilled some of that play was. People mention all the rebounds, but that's cause nobody could hit a damn SHOT, so there were all sorts of balls available to be rebounded! I understand the argument about great defense, but that doesn't account for continuously missing wide open shots from the floor (talking to YOU Ray Alllen), or free throws, etc. When I turned it on, I was wanting the Celts to win, mainly because I think Kobe is a punkass. But like you, after watching for a while, I just didn't care anymore. No wonder why the rest of the world has closed the gap on the US in international competition....we've lost sight of how to play the fundamentals of the game!
  9. Finally retiring the Corolla? What are you getting?
  10. Very cool, thanks man! I have a block on youtube here at work, but have a short list of his tracks to check out when I get home. I'll add that one to the list This is a talented dude!
  11. I'm with you, man....the NBA is nothing like it was 20 years ago.
  12. I'm more excited about Gale Gilbert's kid after seeing him play against Bama this year!
  13. And don't forget Damien Covington....RIP....that guy was one of my all-time favorites. He and Spielman were awesome in the middle of that 3-4.
  14. Very cool...I haven't been into the club scene since I was in my late 20s, but this stuff is very creative and addicting. Would be great to have playing during a workout!
  15. I usually check out the MP3 deal of the day at amazon each evening, and this guy's most recent album was on sale for a few bucks. I'd never heard of him, and I'm not familiar with this sort of music, but I've found myself listening to it almost all day at work today. Seems like a pretty interesting dude. Anyone else know of this guy? For all I know, he's HUGE and I'm just getting old and out of the loop (?) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deadmau5
  16. Magic was amazing. It's weird, cause I used to always love watching the Celtics v. Lakers growing up, but I don't remember ever choosing a side I wanted to win. For every Laker I enjoyed watching play, there was a Celtic I felt the same way about. I remember Danny Ainge always hitting for 3, which always impressed me. Bird and Mchale never looked the part, but always found a way. DJ just got the job done, and Parrish always had that consistent presence in the middle. Loved James Worthy, byron Scott, magic, Kareem...hell, even Rambis had some gritty skills. Yesterday just didn't compare to that for me, and it wasn't even close.
  17. omg lol....that's RIDICULOUS
  18. Is that a legit pic??? If so, holy CRAP man lol
  19. More often than not, I have to agree. It's consistently the genre that disappoints me the most.
  20. Just out of curiosity, do you guys think the level of play in the NBA is below, the same, or better than what we had in the 80s and 90s? I grew up watching the Lakers v. Celtics and I was RIVETED by them. The late 80s Pistons, the 90s Bulls and Rockets, the emergence of the Spurs....It just seems like the league is too watered down or the players just aren't as dedicated to the game as they used to be. Am I off base here?
  21. Dude, you couldn't be more wrong. There is a viable, loyal, and consistently growing population of soccer fans in the US. The MLS is about to have it's 15th birthday. There are soccer-only stadiums being built for many of the MLS (and even the farm league) teams. International friendlies sell out some of the largest stadiums in the country. Friendlies against the top clubs in the world do the same. ESPN signed a huge soccer-related deal for a reason. As many of said and agreed, soccer will never be like the NFL, MLB, or NBA....but it's clearly established in this country and the base is expanding, not eroding.
  22. Really? I watched the entire 2nd half and thought it was embarrassing how many shots were being missed. Kobe was like 6 for 22, Ray Allen couldn't make a shot to save his life, Wallace was fouling out, etc. Seemed like Gasol and Fisher were the only two who came to play!
  23. Holy crap, are these seriously the two best teams in the NBA?? This is one of the worst games I've ever seen, and I'm not typically a hater when it comes to sports. I don't want to hear about how great these defenses are...these guys are just missing shots, plain and simple. Can't even hit free throws, save for Pierce. Screw the NBA
