  1. My thoughts exactly...that scene KILLED me, bro lol.
  2. LOL....bastard
  3. I was waiting for that...
  4. I don't know if I'll be able to sleep either, lol...
  5. You know, I think that's part of it for me...I just always assume that hollywood - movies, tv, etc - is anti-religion, anti-spirituality, the whole nine yards. For them to catch me off guard and actually tap into some of my own emotions on spirituality was a TOTAL blind side lol. Kudos to them...I have a lot of respect for them "going there". I've enjoyed this show a great deal, but I'm now endeared to it.
  6. LMAO!
  7. lol....I've always sort of an emotional person, but I'm not a "crier"....I can't believe this fuggin show did this to me
  8. I just finished watching it about five minutes ago...this is sort of embarrassing, but for the last ten or fifteen minutes I've been an emotional wreck. I don't even know if I can even articulate why, but the end really moved me. That was maybe the most beautiful piece of television I've ever seen. I expected a lot of the action and the suspenseful aspects, but the spiritual and relationship aspects really caught me off-guard and I'm having a hard time gaining my composure. I thought I sort of had a grip on whats sort of ending they were heading for, but it ended up nothing like what I expected. Even though I'm a little confused by it, the difference between this and the episode a few weeks ago that I was so dissatisfied with is that I don't feel any need for further explanation this time. For whatever reason, it was perfect to me. Geesh, I need to get it together...I must have some unresolved issues or something that were triggered by this show tonight...wtf lol
  9. Well, you're definitely right about the Habs....we've shut the fuggers out in 3 of the first 4 games of the series IT'S OUR YEAR, BABY!!!!!!! WOOHOOOOO!!!!!
  10. Don't worry, your losses will soon be avenged by the current version of the Broad Street Bullies
  11. lol, I guess since it was an Argentinian who took over the match, the Italy v. Germany thing was a draw I had to work today, so was just monitoring the game cast on the computer...hoping to see some highlights later. Congrats to Inter
  12. Aside from the Kobe part, awesome ad
  13. I can't wait until Sunday....this is the most excited I've been since being a fan of this show for all these years....errr, months lol. Get off work tomorrow at 6pm, have a nice dinner and movie with a friend, sleep most of Sunday, and then watch TV HISTORY, BABY!!
  14. Even though I rarely watch it, I'm thrilled to death with not only the expansion, but the fact that they are finding funding for a lot of soccer-only stadiums. I was really hoping the Rochester Rhinos would get promoted, but I'm happy there is at least a Philly team now. I didn't really have a team to follow until recently. I'm really proud of the way the MLS has been handling their business. They will hopefully be around for a long time.
  15. Clarke is a fixture on tv and in the papers in Philly, but I never saw the guy play. From what I understand, though, he was quite the player!
  16. The difference is that you didn't have a premeditated motive to find a winner and latch on to them. With you, that's just the way the circumstances went down. The Phillies just happened to be getting good when you became a fan. Not your fault, that's just the way it was. It'll be the same for me if the Flyers win the cup this year. First of all, I'm only a marginal hockey fan. Secondly, I've only been a flyers fan since '95. So while you can bet your asss I'll be very excited if they win, it'll be NOTHING like if the Bills won the Superbowl or like the Braves winning the WS again. Like you, I just don't have the same time and emotion invested in the Flyers that a lot of the Philly fans do. But that's exactly why I became a fan of both the Flyers and Sixers...I maybe couldn't have given a flying fanooter about the NBA or NHL, but the FANS in Philly and the MEDIA in Philly just overwhelmed me to where I got sucked in to the scene, and next thing I know I'm attached. That city is just amazing in terms of the sports culture and the depth of the fandom. You just don't see that everywhere, you know?
  17. I don't know if you were hanging out here back a few years ago prior to registering, but there was this guy named JPEra who made this long asss post on the main wall about how he was giving up being a fan of the Bills and instantly changing his loyalty to the Lions, lmao. It ended up being one of the most entertaining, yet pathetic, threads of that year. I can't take people like that seriously when it comes to being a fan, man...
  18. That's awesome....one of the highlights of my childhood was seeing Reggie play, too. I was living in KC and the Angles were in town. I remember telling my dad how fast the guy still looked given his age at the time, lol. I don't remember him going yard, but I know he got on base.
  19. I just said that because it's usually pretty obvious when someone is a bandwagon jumper, and I really didn't care to have the "sky is falling, abandon ship!" type in the thread. I think people who change their loyalty al the time and go with a team just because they're currently winning are total losers.
  20. I cannot WAIT! Even though I work more normal hours now, as opposed to when the last WC took place, I'll still be able to monitor the games from work, so i won't miss anything. I can't wait to see how we fare against our group....with some of our players having more experience in Europe this time around, it'll be interesting to see if it's made any difference or if it's too early yet. WOOOOHOOO!!! U-S-A!!! U-S-A!!! U-S-A!!!!
  21. AWESOME avatar, man!!
  22. That's probably right about the US, I just have a hunch that my favorite whipping boy - Prima Donovan - is going to have a break-out cup. Don't know why, and I'll still be the first to get on him for his crap plays, but I just have a feeling he's going to surprise...in a good way lol
  23. Not looking forward to it???? Dude!! lol, all I know is that I'm going to focus on the US as a legit contender this time. I don't think my Germans will fare all that well this time around, but for some reason I expect the US to make noise.
  24. One more month, my friend!
  25. I'll admit, I liked that movie much more than I ever expected I would....it was surprisingly funny
