It's over...fat lady is-a-warmin up! The way they're discounting Hawks tickets here in ATL is embarrassing. This city is so pathetic when it comes to the sports culture. There are tested and true fans of the Braves, but the Hawks, Thrashers, and Falcons? Not a chance. Could you imagine anyone discounting HOME PLAYOFF TICKETS in the NFL?

That's the thing about Russell...his ego is so huge that he can sit there in tribal and say something like, "so and so would have gone home if I wanted them to go home", lol, yet at the same time the guy just makes huge, bold moves to stir up so much CRAP that nobody can focus on who the REAL threat is....the guy is GENIUS! Pitting parv and danielle against each other was the exact perfect move to make, and then danielle's emotional breakdown at tribal creates just enough doubt for Jeri to follow through on Russell's instructions...At the beginning of the episode, Russell states he's going to take back control of the game....by the end of tribal, that's exactly what happened lol Now, that being said, if he thinks teaming up with Rupert and Colby will be his best move, I think that may actually be his downfall. He won't be able to manipulate them to the same degree that he has some of the women, so this could be a really risky alliance. Also, I think C & R will be biding their time until they have secure footing, and then Russell will have the target squarely on his back. The bottom line is that two weaker players went home tonight, and I'm happy about that. The final 6 is a very interesting group, and from here to the finale should be pretty damn interesting!

I caught a few of the S6 episodes on Hulu and ABC.com if you want to just skip ahead and rewatch the end. The quality is more than respectable, too

lol....if he were tweeting me, I may have hurt feelings...but as a fed up, frustrated Bills fan, when the guy says "I've seen what the NFL is like and I know I can kick ass" or whatever he said, I guess I sort of expect to see something that actually resembles kicking ass. Now I would have loved to see us draft that freak from Ohio St that the Jets ended up drafting a couple years ago, cause the guy looked like a freak on the field and I had all sorts of happy dreams about him putting Tom Brady into the turf twice a year. We all know that that guy (don't know what I can't remember his name) hasn't panned out worth a damn, so that goes to show you how much I know. So then this year we have Orakpo, looking even more freakish on the field than the Ohio st guy, sitting there at our pick last year. The Bills took Maybin, and i was cool with it cause I figured they knew more than I do about who to draft...and Orakpo's clone from the year before hasnt' done squat, so....I was cool. Maybin gains weight, talks the talk, gets on the field and....*fizzzzz....pop*. I mean, not much of a glimmer of anything to get excited about at any point when he was on the field (at least that I saw, and I saw all the games either live or in review later). I honestly do try to not turn into an impatient dweeb on here like so many others, but in this case I just can't help it. This team plays in BUFFALO FRICKIN NEW YORK, and that means something. I just can't handle seeing our front 7 get manhandled year after year anymore. I want a PASS RUSH again. I want someone at end that puts fear into the hearts of the Olinemen across from them. I miss that, cause it's been too damn long since we've had it. But anyway, I don't mean to be cutting the guy short or not giving him his due time to become an NFL player, but we made the kid a millionaire many times over and I'm more than ready to see some results.

For your own sake, I hope you never get crabs!

Perfectly calm here, man... Maybin was the one tweeting all the time about how he's sure he can play in this league, and how he's gonna do this or that. What did he actually do last year considering he was a high first round pick? Did you see the movie "The Blind Side"? Remember the scene where Oher blocks the defender all the way down the field, through the endzone, and over the fence? That was Aaron Maybin.

We need more CROCE!!! I miss that guy! I've never been a huge NBA guy, but I loved going to the Core States Center (or whatever it's called now) to see the Sixers play...That was back when I thought some combination of Stackhouse-Iverson-Hughes would be our starting backcourt for the next ten years....oh well!

Bout time!! I've had to wait like...I dunno...a few WEEKS for this backstory to be explained

Absolutely ridiculous....my grandfather is turning over in his grave. -
Yep, he's always been the "collateral damage is just part of it" type to the cold blooded killer type. Could bode well for the bad guys!

I think given the amt of participation in this thread, I would have enjoyed it enough to where the 6 days in between episodes were bearable. When nobody's talking about it, though, it sucks! What I think is funny is how in the other thread (the one I started about Lost), every time I made a comment about something that happened, some of you guys knew exactly what episode i was on, what had just happened, and, I'm assuming the events that immediately came afterward. You guys know your stuff!
-
Oh, okay...I guess I missed that too

lol, that must have been agony! I've definitely become more attached to this show than I expected I would, but I don't know if I could have done it week to week like you guys did. I didn't watch it in huge clumps like I did the first few seasons of 24, but I never just watched one single episode of Lost...I usually watched at least two or three, sometimes as many as six in a row. Pretty surreal having never seen an episode until a few months ago, and now I'm about to watch things come to an end lol...
-
lol, yep, so much for that! What a shocker...I did not expect that. Kudos to Orlando, though, for being ready to whoop some arse. I'm a Sixers fan, so what do I care about the Hawks? lol
-
That was an intense episode...this waiting in a week or more in between episodes SUCKS, man....it was much better watching them on DVD so I can find out what happens next!!!

He's on my GLB football team...he better not overwork himself before the big game!

You didn't order BC....you ordered honey mustard! lol

+1 We all got a hell of a lot more from Tim Graham than he ever got from us. The guy didn't have to stop by and share his insight, but he did it anyway. I've seen much worse on this board than what Leonidas said, but IMO that sort of post did not belong in Tim's thread. SDS laid it out pretty clearly in that segment that Lori posted above, and those guidelines weren't followed. I, for one, think it sucks that he's not going to participate here anymore cause I looked forward to seeing what the guy had to say.

But we still love YOU, CL

Same here....we could have easily figured he wouldn't use it up until just this past episode, but now that Jack has ventured into 'cold blood' territory, there may be no turning back....and he's probably sick and tired of having his love interests off'd.
