  1. Hell yeah! I'll never forget watching Jimbo give his HoF speech. I was with my ex-wife on the couch and while she knew I was a Bills fan she had no idea how deep the colors ran in me. I was so damn proud watching and listening to him up at the podium, and when I started to really tear up at the whole thing, she just looked at me like I was crazy lol. I really feel bad for those people who enjoy football (or other sports) but who have never had the opportunity to feel like they were part of something special. Those of us who have lived with this team in our hearts over the years understand and appreciate something that a lot of others don't, and when I see some of these speeches it really reminds me of that. that was a really good speech by Emmitt. I have a ton of respect for that guy, even though I used to really dislike him as a player (for how good he was). I admit, the end of his speech really got me. When he told the story of his father's abandoned dream, how his father told him that he was living through emmitt, and how the shared name of his grandfather, father, and his son would forever be part of football history, that was really beautiful. Emmitt is a good man, and he deserves everything he's earned, IMO. On top of that, his wife is mega hot
  2. thanks, man I can't wait til we get a few more bills up in Canton!!! Nothing has ever made me more proud than to see our guys in those ugly jackets representing B-lo in the hall. Jimbo, Marv, Thurman, Bruce, Ralph, Lofton....all of their bronze busts sitting in Canton waiting for a couple more to join them....Annnnnnnnnnndre.....Taaaaaaaaaaaaaaasker.... We've fuggin owned Canton this decade, baby!!
  3. I never much paid attention to the HOF ceremony growing up, but as an adult it can be a pretty emotional experience. There are a lot of players being inducted lately where I've been fortunate enough not only to see them play, but to watch their entire careers. I tend to have a habit of living vicariously, and I can only imagine what it must feel like to be able to stand there as a hall of fame inductee, reflecting back on a long, storied career, and feeling the finality of it. I really like how Jerry Rice ended his speech. He juxtaposed the unrelenting faith in his heart that he could go out there and suit up still today with the admission that there will be no more catches, no more touchdowns, and no more championships. Pretty cool You are the greatest of all time, Jerry!
  4. I am....enjoyed watching Dick LeBeau's brother talk about him prior to his speech. The entire Steelers team (current version) is present for his induction...classy thing for Mike Tomlin to have arranged. The senior Rooneys are there, too. For today, I'm happy for the Steelers organization and fans for having the chance to be linked to yet another great accomplishment in NFL history. After today, though, fugg'em. Hard to believe Emmit is being inducted. I still remember sitting in class during HS my senior year talking about this guy, #22, that my buddy and I saw play for the first time on tv the day before. He was a Cowboys fan and they absolutely SUCKED at the time, but this guy was something special. That memory seems so fresh in my mind, yet here we are over two decades later, and he's now the NFL all time rushing leader. Unreal. Congrats to the Cowboys organization and their fans for having the opportunity to celebrate yet another great accomplishment in NFL history....but after today....
  5. Of course not, cuase you ARE never wrong LMAO!
  6. (close ur ears, Bill lol) I didn't really care for the guy either. He was one of those, "I"m never wrong" types....at least that's how he came off to me. (ok Bill, all clear!)
  7. Exactly. That's what I"m sick of, too.
  8. I completely agree. Back when I first started actively posting, disagreements were handled a bit differently than they have been lately. That's partly why I tend to participate much more extensively on "off the wall" now than I do the stadium wall. If I post a viewpoint on TSW that runs contrary to another's, I can almost always tell if it's a regular or a newbie who is responding to me without even looking at the name. You can have lively debates with the regulars, disagree, and move on to the next topic. But usually when it's a comment that takes a cheap shot or borders on being rude and immature, it's some newb trying to flame or make a spectacle of themselves. There have been a lot of newer posters who've joined and contributed a lot to the discussions, but like a lot of you, I get tired of the few bad apples spoiling the bunch and it's particularly annoying when that behavior drives off some of our more interesting contributors.
  9. When I was going to Temple U back in the late 90s, I stopped by the D&C Hyperbills site every day. I didn't have internet access at my apt, so it was one of the things I looked forward to when I was on campus. I don't remember ever registering as a Bills fan, but I do remember creating a fake acct as "joey dolfan", because someone on there was annoying me so much that I felt the need to antagonize them, lol. Sure enough, I ended up having lots of chances to bust their balls (wish I could remember who it was...) for a week or two before I lost interest. But yeah, that site was awesome for keeping up with Bills talk.
  10. I'm surprised that this issue is so polarizing. For me, it's pretty cut and dried: The team has offseason activities. If you fail to attend a certain percentage of these activities, you have to pass a conditioning test during training camp. Albert Haynesworth is one of the top paid players in league history. The very LEAST that the team should be able to expect from him is that he's going to be physically prepared to play the game of football. If he's too heavy to complete a conditioning test as a professional athlete, one that non-athletes are completing with much success, then he needs to lose weight. If he were holding out during a contract dispute or something, I maybe could understand it. But the guy has already been paid, and been paid tremendously well. The team has every right to want to make sure their investment is able to carry out his job. I'm not a Shanahan fan either, but I don't see how this is about his ego. Haynesworth needs to shape up and do his fuggin job.
  11. I can't wait to see the Expendables. He's no Clint Eastwood (whose films over the past 10-12 years have often been brilliant, IMO), but Stallone's recent films have been very enjoyable for me. I loved the last Rocky film...thought Rambo was immensely entertaining and completely badass...and from what I've seen of the trailers, this one looks to be pretty fun, too. Can't wait!
  12. I'm pretty sure moo was the milkman's kid
  13. The cop sister isn't the good one....there is another...and she is heavenly blessed!
  14. I'd love to see Garcia in here....we already know he's good in the cold weather
  15. Heck yeah, although this is what I use: http://www.neilmed.com/usa/index.php I used to get sinus headaches all the time, but when I use this consistently (i.e. once a day) I never get them. Haven't had a sinus infection in over a year, too, which is a record for me.
  16. Oh, I completely agree he's not the answer. I just think at 43 he's still better than Trent. He'd help our receivers get better and he'd keep the seat warm for Levi, Jake, etc. I also think Chan Gailey is a no bullshiznit coach, and we wouldn't have to worry about any coach/QB issues. I basically just want more of a reason to check in each week other than the fact that I'm a die hard bills fan. I like when we do something bold, cause it puts us back on the national stage and it keeps the fan base engaged with stuff to talk about. Trent Edwards is about the most boring person on earth.
  17. Not sure you really understood what I wrote, but nonetheless....it's obviously my view that we have only one QB on the roster who has even a slight chance of being our QB of the future. The other three are clipboard holders. There are only so many clipboards to go around.
  18. I love when guys we drafted 3rd rd and later inprevious drafts all of a sudden start to get it. It feels like we're getting a bonus player when that happens. I'd love to see Ellis turn into a player and make some noise. This defense needs to find it's swagger early in the season and grow together as a unit. Hopefully George Edwards can light a fire under some butts!
  19. Fuggers hit me with the auto renewal, too. I'm not sure if I want to keep it or not. I actually did like the service last year, but not sure it was worth $40. I can't believe they want another $30 for the fuggin PRESEASON. What are they smokin'???
  20. The only QB on the roster I give a crap about keeping on the team is bad, bad Levi Brown. Screw the other three. I think it would be a much more interesting season to bring a guy like George in here for two years while we draft a stud next year and let him compete with Levi for reigns of the team. I'm sorry, but Trent Edwards wasn't prolific in college, and he won't ever be so in the NFL. He may be the least of three evils at the present time, but as far as I'm concerned we're just spinning our wheels for another year. Hell, look at how much more interesting the season was with T.O. here last year. Sure, he ended up doing nothing, but at least it put us in the spotlight and made things interesting. We're not going to the SB this year....why not do something that keeps it interesting instead of pretending that Trent will ever amount to anything but a back-up caliber QB?
