Dude, it's not one preseason game....it's TEN DAMN YEARS!!!! I'm usually one of the ones on the "don't overreact" bandwagon, but I continue to be let down year after year after year. I'm hopeful that Chan will get it turned around,but I felt the same way about Greggo, Mike, and even Dicko. Until we find a legit starting QB....a true leader....and we get some legit tackles, we're probably going to keep sucking.

Well one thing's for sure, I'll be keeping an eye on the kid this season! I'm sure I'll have plenty of opportunities....their games are on down here all the time.

Well, I hope you're right, man. I guess that's why I prefaced what I wrote with an admission that I haven't seen a lot of him. I think the game that sat with me the most was the Alabama game. I just expected to see a QB with his reputation and talent really step up in a game against a team of that caliber, especially a conference rival, but he was flat the entire game to my eyes. To me, he just seems to have the Bledsoe disease of being able to really light up teams they SHOULD light up, but never able to really mount much of a challenge against teams they are not expected to beat. To me, a gamer is someone who becomes like Captian James Tiberius Kirk on the field. No matter what, there is no surrender....no "no win scenario"....they just find a way to get that extra yard, score that clutch TD, and get as much out of themselves and the team as possible. It's the stuff of Kelly...Reich....Flutie....and Hamdan. It's leaders who don't just talk the talk, they actually walk it, too. Maybe I"m wrong, but I just haven't seen it in this kid. Maybe this year he'll exhibit it? I dunno. I do know I'm ready for some SEC ball, and I'm sure as hell ready to see friggin' Alabama get their ass handed to them by SOMEONE.

Some of you may have seen the one or two threads I started about a site called battlecam.com. Well, it's owner, eccentric billionaire Alki David, is known for dares and pranks, and often issues challenges to the battlecam community. A few weeks ago he stated that his biggest dare to date would be for someone to find a way to get in front of Barack Obama, get naked, and have "battlecam.com" written on their chest for all to see. I've seen the kid play a few times living here in SEC country, and not that I have enough basis to say this yet, but as of today I'm hoping the Bills do NOT draft him. We don't need another QB with a big arm, we need a QB with intangibles who is a GAMER. Aside from Flutie, we haven't had a gamer in here since Jimbo. That's a big reason why I think a lot of us are holding out some sort of hope for Levi. The guy has got some spunk to him and he rises up when the game calls for it. I don't see that at all in Mallet, and I think that all he'd do is set our franchise back by another 3-5 years.

I thought The Road was pretty well done. I agree it wasn't the "blue skies" type of movie you may have been in the mood for, but then again, when you read the description beforehand what did you think "post-apocalyptic" mean, exactly? lol

I only caught the last part of Jack's great career, but have many fond memories of watching him as a kid. I actually have to give him a lot of the credit for why I have as much interest in golf as I do...the guy was just amazing. Him, Arnie, the guy who always did the sword fighting thing with his putter, Curtis STrange, Nick Faldo, and the man with the greatest short game in the history of golf, Mr Corey Pavin. I had the chance to see all these guys play live when I was a kid and it was great. Nowadays I couldn't tell you more than about 4 or 5 top names, but I do enjoy watching the majors. Like tennis, it just doesn't have the same feel as it did when I was growing up. BTW, Kudos to whoever won the PGA today lol

Welcome, Perk! I just wanted to chime in and second (fourth?) the tailgate comments....it's been a while for me, but tailgating at the Ralph is quite the experience! My buddy and I used to get there as early as possible, break open a few brews, toss around the pigskin, chat with the locals, eat some good food....man, I miss those days. Enjoy your trip!

I love that gameflow feature, too....only played one game so far, and it's been forever since I played Madden, but looking forward to getting back into it. Also looking forward to benching Trent and starting Levi

I played my first game last night...I love this gameflow feature. I need to add some plays to it, though, cause the OC kept calling the same handful of plays over and over. Beat up on Detroit 28-7, though. James Hardy blew out a lumbar disc and Roscoe missed a few plays....other than that, pretty fun!

that guy is the "p" word. He gave back over half million dollars because he didn't like Tom Rathman yelling at him and he just happened to take a solid lick from a blitzer? Unreal...this guy is an embarrassment.
