  1. That's exactly how I feel. It's embarrassing to have to debate over who deserves a shot at the national championship. I end up enjoying the regular season and then hating the post-season. I agree that it would be simple enough to fix this....after all, pretty much every other sport in the country has a playoff system. They don't have to re-invent the wheel. Morons... Oh well....lol
  2. That's one of the reasons I'm glad I've really gotten into college ball...the lockout thing. If they do end up locking the players out and no agreement gets done in a timely manner, they're just a bunch of jagoffs....no excuse for that. But I'd say there's a reasonable chance they won't get it done in time for the season. I don't know where you stand on the issue, but if college ball had a playoff format, I really think I'd become just as big a fan as I am of the NFL.
  3. That's great for FSU fans....I've always liked that team...In fact, even though I rarely watched much college ball back when I was living up north in the late 80s and 90s, I did used to watch a lot of those FSU v. Miami games since both teams were pretty solid back then. I also remember when we drafted Sam Cowart from FSU and how awesome that guy was prior to his injury. After we drafted him I took more of an interest in FSU for a bit... But anyway, yeah, the next couple years will be fun to watch for some of these teams down here
  4. ***Special Offer*** I have won about four "double or nothing" tourneys today. If there is anyone reading this who hasn't signed up in the poker club yet who wants to play tomorrow, if you join before the tourney I will pay your entry fee for our TBD tourney tomorrow (Monday) night. I will make this offer available to the first three people who take me up on it. Send me a PM and I'll provide you instructions from there.
  5. Very cool....this is the first time I've ever really paid attention to recruiting in college, so it'll be fun to see how these top classes pan out over the next couple years. I already can't wait for the 2011 Kickoff Classic in the GA Dome
  6. Christina should have never tried to sing it live...that's exactly why so many others pre-record it and then lip sync.
  7. I grew up on Charles Chips...they had amazing hard pretzels
  8. Not Ms Aguilera's best work, I agree.
  9. Im sure someone on justin.tv is casting it.
  10. I didn't get to see him play but a couple of games, and I didn't see anything to make me think this guy could be our next Jim Kelly. I like his mobility and he seems to have arm strength, but his accuracy is AWFUL. Combine that with all that I've read about him, and I prefer to just stay away. Mallett and Locker are dropping like rocks on a lot of draft boards. Even Kiper, who used to love Mallett, has taken him off his board.
  11. I've really come to enjoy kettle cooked chips...I especially like the ones that are sort of folded over onto themselves...
  12. Yeah, Auburn probably should enjoy this victory cause it'll need to last a while... Supposedly Florida State had what is considered the best draft class in the country this year...too bad they don't play in the SEC! (Although there are rumors about SEC expansion and Florida State has been one of the teams they would target...) EDIT: I just checked...the Dawgs ended up signing the dude they were hoping would reconsider, NT John Jenkins. This signing pretty much means they will have had the top ranked draft class this year...pretty exciting! Dawgs Dream Team
  13. Und übrigens, weißt du Kevin Bacon?
  14. Is that show good? I see it on my netflix streaming all the time but I've never seen a single episode
  15. Same here....I'm playing a little poker prior to game time. Which reminds me...TBD poker tourney tomorrow night at 830p if anyone else wants in
  16. I thought you might appreciate that. As much pain as we've endured as Bills fans over the years, that's the one game I'm just still not over.
  17. I don't remember EVER wanting a WR with this high of a pick, but while I don't necessarily advocate for Green with our first rounder, I wouldn't be upset if we took the kid. He is by every definition a total gamer. He will lay out for a pass that seems uncatchable and bring it down like a champ. He plays big in big games, and he has a winners mentality. If we still had Trent or JP at QB, that would be different. But a guy like Fitzy has proved that he knows how to get the ball to our wideouts, so Green might really help this offense to score some points. That being said, I'm still a defense first type of guy, so I'd prefer we focus on the front 7.
  18. Best chips I've had recently are Lays Kettle Cooked sea salt and vinegar....holy crap, those are delicious
  19. If there was any reality show I'd want to be on, it's the Amazing Race. I honestly wouldn't give a flying crap if I won or lost...just to be able to see the world with a good friend would be more than enough reward. When I heard that the let the contestants who lose each leg continue to run the race for poops and giggles, I thought that was the coolest thing I ever heard. I can't wait for this season A couple of you guys have brought this up, and based on what you're both saying, this is a pretty sick dude. I do know I read a piece a couple years ago, long before he was pegged as a judge, where he was talking about how sick and lost he was as an individual, and how when he finally got himself to rehab it changed his life. I've even heard him say that he was wanting to help others get their lives together by paying their rehab costs, because he knew how life changing the process was. I'm not saying that's an excuse, and I have never considered people with drug/alcohol issues "heroes" or whatever just because they get their lives cleaned up, but I do know that drugs can turn you into a person you're not. I don't know to what degree, if any, drugs played a role in this event you guys are talking about, but I wouldn't be surprised if he were pretty heavy into the sauce.
  20. The Vikes made the SB?
  21. I think the first time I ever saw Liam Neeson was in that preacher movie with Steve Martin and Deborah Winger back in the 90s. Aside from his absolutely riveting performance in Schindler's List soon after that, I was sort of luke warm to the guy. But he's really become one of my favorite actors over the past several years, I must admit. I thought he was great in Batman Begins, Love Actually, Taken, Kinsey, and most recently the A-Team. These are not all great FILMS, of course, but I enjoyed his performance in each of them. Being a Star Wars nerd, I also have to admit that starring as a Jedi in the first prequel scored big points....lol BTW, guys, I just saw Social Network tonight...EXCELLENT film. I'm trying to get through the rest of the Best Picture nominees before the 27th, and so far here's my ranking: 1)True Grit 2)The Social Network 3)Toy Story 3 4)Inception 5)Winter's Bone This week I plan to see 127 Hours and The Kids are Alright, and then hopefully next week I'll check out The Fighter and Black Swan. The King's Speech will prob be a dvd rental sometime later in the year.
  22. That's awesome...I have never been there, but I have some friends who are from TN and have been to games...they said it was quite the experirence
  23. Wow, that is about the dumbest thing I ever heard. People seriously need to start taking some damn responsibility for their behavior and quit blaming everyone else. Pepe was smoking the sausage long before any of this...
