  1. Netflix is such a ridiculous value with the streaming that it's just absurd...and the PQ is really damn good now, assuming you have a half decent internet connection. I bought one of those Roku boxes to play around with...so far I love it! That was how I saw Winter's Bone last night, except I streamed that from Amazon, not Netflix. I love this technology Let me know what you think of Winter's Bone...it's not fast paced at all, but I thought it was very well done. The acting was very good, too. I have buried on my list, too...I hope I enjoy it more than Dan did lol
  2. I was disappointed with The Other Guys, too. This one isn't a comedy, but last night I saw "Winter's Bone"....it's received quite a bit of critical acclaim and I thought it was pretty good. Toy Story 3 was really good.... The Town was excellent... Scott Pilgrim was, um, different...and entertaining. The Social Network is supposed to be excellent... But for some reason, the movie I want to recommend to you is...."Moon". It's not a comedy, but it's one of my favorite films of the last year or so
  3. I knew the World Cup ratings were higher than the NBA and NHL, but I had no idea MLS was doing this well with their attendance. The powers that be ahve done a fantastic job with this league...To think that they're in their 15th season (or something like that) and still becoming stronger, that is really cool. I tend to follow the EPL and the Champions League more than I do MLS, but now that Philly has a team and the Cosmos are coming back (hopefully), this is a league I will likely start becoming more involved with. Kudos to them! The Cosmos were kickin' ass in soccer long before Michael Richards could even say the words "racial tirade" Dang, if they can get a few more markets sizzling like Seattle, this league will really start to make some noise. I was really hoping that the Rhinos would get prmoted to the MLS...but Philly getting a team was a close second, and the Philly waterfront stadium looks REALLY cool.
  4. That Billy the Exterminator guy says that squirrels and other animals that get into houses cause like 20% of all fires in the home
  5. I'm dying to go...just hate to fly lol.
  6. Well...I'm almost 40, out of shape and overweight. I need a woman who has no patience for endurance
  7. 6th or 7th would be perfect
  8. You forgot to say "stop" after each line
  9. I expect your full support of the Portland Timbers from this point forward, young lady!
  10. Actually, you'll note that I said ONE of the best I agree about the body building thing, though...that can be too much of a good thing for sure. I don't need to be with a woman that looks as if she's on the verge of exploding.
  11. That guy may not have been an animal lover, but he sure could tackle!
  12. It's nice to know others find athletic women attractive. That's one of the best features a woman can have, IMO
  13. If that works out well for you, you could probably get a role in the new TNT series called "The Walking Dead Money"
  14. She has some pretty pronounced crow's feet to be only 41
  15. I have never been to Vegas, but I go to Biloxi all the time. My favorite hotel/casino there is the Beau Rivage. Its sister casino in Vegas is the Bellagio. Just based on my experiences in Biloxi, I'd highly recommend considering the Bellagio.
  16. I woudl actually love to see us pick up Tyrod as a later round pick. That kid has made some amazing throws, particuarly the TD pass he threw in the VA Tech bowl game a few weeks ago. He is inconsistent, but I think he'd be great for someone like Gailey to work with.
  17. PS. Assuming we have some interest in this game, it will be a free tourney so that we can all get used to the interface. All you have to do in order to play is email me for an invite and download the free software.
  18. Same here...I remember being given a Tampa Bay Rowdies flag when I was a kid...and I know I've mentioned it before a few times, but I received my first professional instruction in the sport by one of the Cosmos players who played along with Pele and the boys...Kurt Kuykendall. I'm pretty excited about this franchise being re-born
  19. He was also very quick to fix his one casting blunder...giving Katie Holmes the axe and replacing her with a real actress!
  20. This is the sort of thing that really gives me hope that the MLS is going to continue to slowly but surely expand the soccer niche in America. This is a really interesting article that brings back some of my earliest memories of soccer, and also shows not only how stable the MLS is as a league, but also how attractive expansion franchises are these days. There are already three more teams on the way for this year and next, and the NY Cosmos are attempting to fill out the league at 20. They are also involving several key individuals - Pele, most notably - who were with the organization back in the 70s. Linky
