I was lmao when Anderson Cooper tried to sit on the chair and it started dropping F-bombs on him
-
lol, it's pretty effective, cause I remember my stomach sinking like a rock when he told me
-
That joke was actually played on me, and I totally fell for it because I was married by a friend of mine. He put on a convincing face and told me he completely forgot to file the papers and that my marriage never happened. ...if only that had been true

It's really going to freak you out when I tell you that you didn't really just write that.

NFL Seeks to Ban "I'm rubber and You're Glue..."

NFL Seeks to Ban "I'm rubber and You're Glue..."

Now I miss having LT in the game....lol There was something I was watching recently where they had Bill Parcells discussing LT back in the day. He wasn't happy with how LT was playing, so he started basically calling the guy out and trying to get in his head psychologically. Later in the same game, LT went out and just wreaked havoc on the other team, which led to that same sort of performance in the following weeks to come. I got the sense that Parcells really played a big role in sort of bringing that controlled violence out in LT and helping him to use it productively on the field. I love seeing stuff like that. -
Whenever I think about that game, I remember the interview I saw with Curtis Martin back in the day. He was still playing for the Pats at the time, and they had just played whatever team Deion Sanders was on...probably the Cowboys, but can't remember for sure. Anyway, there was a play when Deion returned a punt and just got LIT UP by someone during the return. When asked about it, Curtis Martin quoted scripture and said, "he who humbles himself shall be exalted...and he who exalts himself shall be humbled." Brady and the Pats seemed so arrogant during the SB week interviews and all that...it was so satisfying to see them get the big "L" in the SB.

NFL Seeks to Ban "I'm rubber and You're Glue..."

I love that clip...and it's a perfect example of the hypocrisy here, cause that clip is always showing up in NFL productions. I grew up watching that crazy bastard LT, and he was as violent a player as it gets and that's part of what made him great. The trash talking that takes place through the media in between games is nothing compared to what's said on the field during the game. I always love hearing players give accoutns of who some of the best trash talkers were when they played, or who the most intimidating opponents were, etc. Football is a violent game by nature, and while there should be certain rules to promote safety, the intensity and psychological aspects should be embraced not suppressed. -
lol, screw the children...what about all the mathmeticians throughout the ages who are collectively rolling over in their graves at the mere mention of rounding down pi!

Exactly...Ali without the trash talking and self-aggrandizing just isn't the same at all. Sterility is for operating rooms, not contact sports. -
Screw that!! The Pats and jests can both lose, it will just take two weeks to get it done
-
LMFAO!!!!

lol, that makes MUCH more sense to me than rooting for the Pats...

Yep, that's exactly how I feel about it. Threats are way out of line, but those other quotes you posted are exactly the sort of thing that is just part of the sport. It wouldn't be much fun watching well-mannered robots out there for 60 minutes...I want to watch players who trash talk, hold grudges, etc. I want to see the passion and know that demoralizing and laying waste to their opponent is important to them. That's what football is about, dammit. It was part of the game back when I played on the worst team in the history of high school football, and it's part of the game for the greatest teams in the NFL. -
How in the HELL can twice as many of you f'ers be rooting for the PATS??? I hate both teams, but there is a hell of a lot more to like about the Jets than the Pats...I'm sick to death of everything to do with those bastards...I'll go with a pseudo-New York team way before I'll ever root for the damn Pats
-
I'm not saying I condone THREATS, but I consider trash talking an art and feel that it serves to intensify rivalries and enhance interest in an event. There are examples of both threats and trash talk cited in this article, but I hope the NFL is careful about how they tread here... ESPN Article This quote by twinkle toes Rexy is something I agree with 100% "You shouldn't like who you are going up against right now," he said. "This is the playoffs. I can tell you our whole team respects Brady and the Patriots. But hey, we don't like any of them right now. You shouldn't. [Former Jets running back] Danny Woodhead is a great kid, but I can't stand Danny Woodhead right now."

lol, the shoving coins into the lap top is hit or miss, to be honest... The easiest way is to use an e-check, cause until the online gambling legislation finally gets settled, the credit card companies can't approve transactions to online poker sites. If you're not comfortable doing that, I'm sure there are other ways to fund your account. When you download the pokerstars.com version, you'll see a red button that says "cashier". There should be some info there on the various funding options, or you can email them at support@pokerstars.com. I've emailed them twice in the last 24 hr and they got right back to me both times. I would advise you to do whatever you're most comfortable with, but I'll also tell you that I've been playing online for almost ten years and have never had a problem. But it's always good to exercise caution whenever doing this sort of thing, as you know. Bank of America online is down for maintenance right now, so I'm going to make my deposit after work tomorrow. I'll let you guys know how smoothly it goes. I'm planning to use the e-check feature. So far it sounds like Sundays are showing promise. What time do you guys think works best? Maybe like 7 or 8 pm eastern time? I know a few folks are left coasters, so hopefully that won't be too early for them.

lol...u want an invite? I thought that was pretty cool too...so far I really like this set-up...I submitted a (bills) logo for the club, so once that gains approval it should show up on there. This could really be cool if we could get a regular game going, even if it's only every month. EDIT: Another cool thing is that the minimum deposit via e-check is only $10

Hey guys...some of you already know this, but just to clarify, the pokerstars.net download is for play money only. Please also download the pokerstars.com version for when we play real money games. We can do both if that's what you guys want, but my personal view is that it's often better to have at least like a $1 entry fee just cause people will play more seriously. I was thinking about when might be a good night to have recurring tourney times. We won't have the NFL anymore a month from now, so I thought maybe Sunday afternoons or evenings might work. When are you guys typically available to play, and what nights/days/times do you think would work best? *I will be making a deposit either tonight or tomorrow night after work so I'll be able to offer some feedback on the process. If any of you guys are already playing here, maybe let us know your experiences too
