  1. The very same! In fact, that was the basis for one of my favorite ESPN commercials of all time with Brandi Chastain and Kevin Garnett mmmm...hot fence action
  2. Thanks for reminder, LewPort...I'll definitely be watching. BTW, Nice win for Herr Klinsmann and the boys in Europe this past week! I know you haven't been around these parts as long as a lot of us, so let me help you out here. There are like twelve soccer fans on TBD. That's up from about eight back in 2006, so we're happy about that. Trolling soccer is encouraged in our threads, but we will not tolerate such lackluster efforts as what you posted above. Please think about what I said here, come up with something more creative, and bring your A-game next time. Trust me, the bar has been set very high by others before you, and we just can't afford to allow the quality of the troll postings to deteriorate at this point. Thank you for your time
  3. Good point. I hope someone sits down with this kid and explains to him the value of exposure on this sort of stage. He's a KID, and he's on national television with the legit possibility of developing as a recording artist. I'm sure NOBODY wants to be in the bottom two, but the fact is that the judges have been singing his praises since day one, and he's had how many weeks now to gain some exposure? The kid may very well get the chance to have some really cool stuff happening in his life, no matter where he finishes in this competition. It seems like for the most part he's very respectful, well spoken, and creative. Hopefully he just had an emotional moment and he won't repeat it, cause he came really close to blowing it this week. But for the most part, if he were my kid I'd be proud of the manner in which he's carried himself to this point.
  4. Listen kid, quit yer belly achin'. There's still 7 weeks left, and your stupid Jets will probably be fine. Suck it up and quit whining like a Patriots fan. And by the way, yer damn right the Bills are gonna beat the Dolphins!
  5. He's not of any interest to me, but I recognize that he has talent. I'm glad that L.A. and Simon called him out on his bullshiznit this week. That was a pathetic display, even for a 12 year old or whatever he is.
  6. That's funny you mention him...I was just thinking about his performance of "Levon" during his season of AI...no idea why lol
  7. LOL, without question
  8. My favorite genre by far. Amos Lee, Ray LaMontagne, Jack Johnson, Adele, etc, etc, etc....love all that stuff man.
  9. Send Fezmid a PM. He knows a lot about them.
  10. "I mean....LOOK at you...you there, have you ever kissed a girl?"
  11. Bluto Blutarsky, eh? I've got two words for ya... no, not THOSE two words... Kobayashi Maru!!!!!
  12. Amen! The only Klingons Picard ever defeated were the ones stuck to his butt hair! Kirk rules!
  13. I loved Jackass 3D! One of the few films I've seen in 3D at the theater that was actually worth the extra money!
  14. My bad Nice deal! You'll enjoy DH2...was my favorite of the series by far.
  15. Definitely. I'm sure I didn't give the POtter films/franchise enough credit until recently. I was really surprised how engaged I was by the last two films in particular. Some of the special effects were out of this world. In Deathly Hallows pt2, there was this huge Ogre guy...must have been like 50' tall, swinging this huge hammer around when Voldemort's folks attacked Hogwarts. Dude was just wipin' people out left and right, and the whole thing did NOT look CGI. I was very impressed.
  16. So you and Lana are dating?
  17. He needs to call the folks from Idol and get the Crystal Bowersox special. On the first few shows of her season of Idol, they were NASTY!! All of a sudden once the live shows came around she had clearly had some work done. But I think her's have got to be the worst I've seen yet
  18. Well, perhaps...but while fans there get frustrated just like anywhere else, the difference is that fans in Philly don't become disloyal bandwagon jumpers. They stay true to their team, and I respect that. I've said it before on here, but that's one of the things I can't stand about people in Atlanta. It's one thing that we have a lot of transplants who have various team loyalties. But there are a LOT of people here who are front running bandwagon jumpers. In Buffalo, Philly, etc, when the teams are winning you start seeing more hats, jerseys, flags and such. When they aren't winning you're likely to see less of that. In Atlanta, when the Braves, Falcons, and Hawks are winning, you see lots of Atlanta gear. When they aren't winning, you see lots of OTHER teams gear. I'll take the Philly fans over the fans here any day of the week.
  19. I forgot about that one...have been meaning to see it. Willem Dafoe is a very underrated actor, IMO. Definitely good for some laughs! The bridal shop scene had me rolling
  20. I thought he was talking about his own stupid post. If he's talking about the entire thread, then Bledsoe1QB can suck it. This thread was not only helpful in that I have a Bruce Smith fathead for a ridiculous price, it's been pretty humorous at times, too. I didn't even see the guy who waid he wanted to get three B.Smith fatheads and make a fathead human centipede in his kitchen, lmao...
  21. I actually find it pretty lame, too, and I know the Philly sports fan well enough that a large majority of those folks will see this guy as a major whiner, too. I get tired of these morons who make these grandiose gestures when they quit being a fan or "retire". Pathetic.
  22. Same here...I laughed a good bit at that one.
  23. O'Brother Where Out Thou surprised me a LOT. I like John Turturro well enough, but I'm not high on clooney and I had NO interest in that film when it came out. But I gave it a chance and found it to be one of the more entertaining films of that year. And as most everyone knows, that soundtrack was killer! Walk Hard had me pissing myself the first time I saw it...every time Dewey would catch the guy from SNL in the closet I just about lost it.I dunno Dewey...this is mar-i-juana...you don't want none of THIS sh*t!!!!" John C. Reilly is a fantastic comedic actor!
  24. Amen to that, brother! That was awful... As for X-Factor, the only two I'm really interested in at this point are melanie amaro and josh krajkic. I love listening to Josh's vocals, and Melanie's voice can keep up with the divas of the industry without straining a bit. It was nice seeing L.A. and Simon getting into it a bit last night, even if it was sort of an act for the show. I love that they include over 30s and groups...just wish there were more groups this year that were worth a damn. That whole Glee experiment was horrid with the 10 castoffs or whatever that was. The chick group with the four ladies is okay, though. I like when they harmonize. Astro clearly has talent but just doesn't appeal to me at all. I have enjoyed most of Drew's performances but not so much last night. Rachel is cute with a great personality, but I usually give her the FF treatment. I do like the format, though, and I hope the show stays on a while. I expect Idol to fall off in terms of their numbers this year, especially with all these vocal competition shows out now. It'll be curious to see what the X-Factor factor is on Idol this year. Will there be as much anticipation for Idol 2012 as there has been in the past? After a relatively strong group last year, will the talent pool be really dry for this season? Will L.A and Simon heat things up enough with their arguing that the Steven Tyler, J-Lo, Randy combo will seem boring by comparison? Should be interesting, anyway.
