Ozzy's a douche.

I can't believe nobody from his family came...his dad can fly all the way out to the island, but he can't make it to california for the finale to support his son? No wonder why this kid is fighting so hard against his family name...everyone named Hantz in that family is a total a-hole! All his internal struggles make more sense now. He doesn't want to be the same as Russell or his dad...he wants to be his own man and try to actually care about others. I give him a lot of credit for that and I see him in a different light. I'm glad he has a wife and kids who support him. Exactly! And they are the biggest hypocrites of all, because many of them either did similarly or WOULD do similarly in order to win the game. I say it every season, but it's all over the Survivor logo every year..."Outwit, outplay, outlast". Part of beign "outwitted" is having someone strategize against you, which means they are either going to withold information or lie to you outright to throw you off. There's nothing in there about "out-socializing" others, but yet that's become the biggest factor in the game. The whole idea of being a "survivor" has been watered down and lost over the seasons, and its' time to get focused again. Some of these people just get entirely too comfortable in this game anymore. It shouldn't be about who is the nicest, or who lied the least.
-
I totally agree. My only concern is that when you have to alter your game to make sure you're being nice to everyone and not ruffling any feathers, the game could end up beign REALLY boring. I'd much rather have a Russell out there manipulating and lying to everyone as opposed to having a bunch of Sophies running around. Sophie had a great win to send Ozzy home, but aside that was her game really memorable or entertaining in any way? I think Jeff just needs to give a little speech before the vote and remind them to vote for the most DESERVING of the title of sole survivor, regardless of how you feel about that person emotionally. It's what is best for the game, IMO.
-
True, but the jury sees even less than that once they're out of the game. All they see is tribal and what they're told by other jury members, which could be completely slanted and/or biased. lol, well yeah, but it also means someone like your girl SANDRA doesn't win!!! And ozzy is a moot point since he wasn't even in the finals this time...I just get tired of these whiny jury people preventing people from winning just cause they got played. That's the GAME! True, I hadn't thought it that far through. I dunno, I just think they need to slap these jury people upside the head before they vote. At least on big brother they seem to be able to appreciate when someone outplayed them, even if they got lied to in the process. A guy like Dr Will or Evil Dick would never win on Survivor.

That still remains my biggest criticism of the game...there really needs to be a fan voting component in order to offset that a bit. At least Sophie was deserving, but it was clear once again that people will vote for someone OTHER than the most worthy survivor for no other reason than because they were butt hurt. These juries always fail to have any sort of objectivity, and I'm glad Cochran said what he did. He's a "survivor expert" and he knows that this happens from time to time, and it needs to stop. I bet if America voted among the final three, Coach wins in a landslide. The biggest disappointment was the way that Rick guy reacted. What a total DOUCHEBAG. The guy doesn't do a frickin thing all season...rides the coattails of his alliance, and then in the end when he knows damn well it's survival of the fittest, he throws a mini tantrum and acts like he's shocked that someone told a lie....it's SURVIVOR!!!! GET a CLUE!!! This idiot should have been voted off in they very beginning...he had no social game, never won a damn thing, never had any sort of strategy...he was just in the right place at the right time when coach made the alliance. And as annoying as Brandon was, I actually felt bad for him tonight. Shame on his family for treating him that way. His dad seemed like a total dick, and coach was right to call him out. I loved when the other survivors and the audience supported the kid...he deserved better than what his family gave him. Screw them!! All in all, though, I thought this was a very entertaining season...I'm looking forward to February

Would make more sense if they gave them names like the seven dwarves -
Whole home DVR has worked great for me so far. No problems. Works a helluva lot better than that stupid "combo box" thing that Dish Network has.

I've been a hot and cold fan of Howard's for a long time. Like a lot of you guys, however, I can't even remember the last time I heard his show. That being said, I'm very interested in this pairing (Stern and AGT). I'll miss Piers on the show, cause he's a very entertaining Brit, but the Stern factor will keep things interesting in his absence. I have a feeling this will only be a one year experiment, though

This was my favorite comment: "Unless Toys R' Us has significantly upgraded its stock, this wasn't a light saber per se. Rather, it was an elongated piece of hollow plastic illuminated by a blue light." Then the next guy says... "You're right; as opposed to all the real light sabers available at Jedi-supply stores around town."

LOL, "I'll hang up and listen"

Thanks man, I really hope it's accurate or else we're in trouble next year There's just too much of a contrast between how they play now and how they played earlier on...just bad luck to lose so many key guys.

That was definitely one of the best episodes of the season...I'm both excited and bummed that Sunday is the finale! I love the way they do the finale on Survivor...3 hrs of awesomeness! I hope the brandon v. ozzy duel lives up to expectations...that will be great!

I had such high hopes for Idol last season...and then friggin Scotty came along and ruined the whole thing lol. I will definitely watch Idol too, not just because I still enjoy the idea of finding and transforming someone into a marketable pop performer, but I also enjoy talking about it on here with you guys. I'll be surprised if they get anywhere near the talent they had last season, or the talent that Xfactor was able to find this season. BTW, does anyone else think L.A. Reid is a bit light in the loafers?

Men's Health poll - top 10 hottest women of all time

Yep, you throw in the athletic thing and the girl becomes much hotter, IMO. Whoever the directors were were very smart, because the only way to ever get a guy like me to watch a frickin Enrique Iglesias music video? Put Anna Kournikova in it...I could have done without him droolin' all over her in it, but wow was she amazingly hot in that. -
Thinking of throwing in the towel

lol, I know, I know...but dude, I HATE MARTA!! I have nowhere near me to catch that stupid train. That's one of the other things about Atlanta that I hate. I was so used to transit EXCELLENCE when I lived in Philly. I lived north of the city there just as I do here, yet there I could drive literally less than a mile, hop on a train and go ANYWHERE I wanted. It took me right to the front door of Temple U for school, to South Philly for a game, over to the airport, etc. I think the closest MARTA station for me is frickin TUCKER. I live way up here in Flowery Branch (Falcons country, as you know) and I have no other option but to drive. Speaking of which, I went to IKEA again the other night after work...I'm falling in love with Atlantic Station. That is the COOLEST place! Man, I would kill to have Wegmans back...I never thought I'd miss a grocery store, but as we all know, Wegmans is far more than a grocery store. I actually lived in Reston when I was just a little kid, and it's been a long while. I was there between '77-'80, before I even became a Bills fan (in '85, when I moved to Rochester). I almost got back there in '95 when I very briefly lived in Baltimore, but haven't been anywhere near there since. I know it's a great area, though...nice part of the country. -
Is Ralph or other people in the Bills FO racist?

This is like overhearing someone at comic-con or a Trekker convention....real serious look on their face, making hand gestures, while some pro-Romulan Trekkie waits to offer up a counterpoint -

Maybe since you and Jerry Jabber are so close, you can talk him into changing his screen name to something like "8kingFagina" -
