  1. Let's say a band decided to do a special tribute show, where they did The Cars first two albums (Cars and Candy-O) in their entirety, would you go to see it?
  2. Starring as Hailee's leading man in a Broadway musical
  3. Jonny James I've heard of. Don't know Kent Leach. Possibly a bit before my time in the Buffalo music scene.
  4. Honorable mention: My band, Boomerang, (our drummer Jake won Best Drummer in the All WNY awards), Damone Jackson Outcome, Analog Kids, (3 piece Rush tribute band), Uncovered, Hurricane (Scorpions tribute band), The Knight Crew.
  5. If you wanted to include Buffalo area bar bands, the most talented bands, and it's not even close, are Back to the Bars and The Jim Wynne Band
  6. It's possible, but not like Sosa, Bonds, McGwire, et. al.
  7. This didn't come from the Jets front office. This came from a fan website and this is a fan opinion.
  8. Living in the Bay Area when Bonds was on his homerun rampage, all the local stations would break in for a Bonds at bat if he was about to tie/break a record. The whole area (except for Oakland fans) was glued to the Giants and Bonds. More so than the 49ers or Raiders at the time.
  9. John Fisher, A's owner is selling the San Jose Earthquakes to help pay for this stadium. He's getting no help from his baseball buddies. I would laugh hard when this ballpark doesn't happen. Fisher is a stain on Jose Canseco's underwear. They're not even drawing 8500 in Sacramento. The A's are a complete joke. <--- Former A's season ticket holder during the Moneyball era. Long time fan. No longer.
  10. Agree. Pitchers would need something in a form of protection.
  11. Think back to the 90s. Sammy Sosa, Mark McGwire, Barry Bonds, Jason Giambi, all players who juiced, and most of us were on the edge of our seats waiting for the bomb into the stands (or McCovey Cove) that was about to happen. What if baseball allowed players to juice legally? There would be homerun battles year after year. Imagine Ohtani and Judge hitting 70 plus HR's a year, or more! Think baseball fans wouldn't go nuts over that? Something to at least have some fun discussing.
  12. It happened to me last night. I posted about Jeff Skinner's lack of effort in the "Josh is still the answer" thread. I quickly deleted it before a comment was made. Yay me.
  13. http://www.boomerangbuffalo.com
  14. My band won Best Classic Rock Band for the past two years in the All-WNY Awards.
  15. Nerds are a cover band that uses a gimmick for fans. They don't belong.
  16. And just how many fans will show up at a Panther's Stanley Cup parade this year?
  17. I didn't know Ted personally, but he became a world wide respected jazz fusion drummer with Gamalon and other projects. Unfortunately Ted passed away in 2015 from a small plane crash. Just YouTube Ted Reinhert Gamalon.
  18. Ted Reinhart of Gamalon fame also deserves recognition. In 1973, Ted's band at the time was covering Genesis. The actual band Genesis thought it was super cool that a US band was covering their music, so they all flew to Buffalo to see the band. The band, and especially Phil Collins was super impressed with Ted. In 1977 when Phil took over lead singing duties, Phil reached out to Ted to see if he had any interest in becoming Genesis' full time touring drummer. Ted turned it down as he didn't want to spend his whole life touring. So they offered the gig to the next guy on their list, Chester Thompson.
  19. Dangnebit!!! I read this whole thread. Now I have to stock up a the liquor store! It will take a whole lot of drinking to recover from all the bubble wrap!!!
