For the sake of this question, assume all things are equal given RFA/possible UFA status. The list contains many of these players who may or may not be affected by the CBA issue, as well as some RFA's that would require compensation. That being said, all things equal, who is your top choice to be under center, opening day of 2010?

I just wanted to do a quick follow up on this recipe. YE OLE did a trial run of this version last night sans the bleu cheese as YE OLE doesn't care for it. That being said... it is AMAZING! This is the best soup I've ever eaten, bar none. I will have more of this for Sunday, and I highly recommend it for anyone who is considering attempting this dish. Very easy to make too.

I bring this post back today, because on Jan. 6 our good friend John Beerball presented YE OLE with this task. Since the Gailey hiring, YE OLE, has worked on various versions, but not yet released them to this board. Since Beerball commissioned YE OLE for this assignment, both Beerball and YE OLE have seen misfortune. First YE OLE and his wife spent a week in the hospital, as we almost lost our son to pre term labor at 22 weeks (this would have been the second such loss YE OLE and his wife would have experienced this year, as we lost our first son who was born at 21 weeks and lived for only 3 hours)... and now today Mrs. Beerball has informed us that John is in the hospital in ICU. Let our prayers help to heal him, just as the prayers of many got YE OLE and his family through a difficult time only a week ago. In light of these tragic events, upon John's full recovery, YE OLE shall make good on his challenge to me and release the ultimate Chan Gailey parody. Until then... let our prayers be with the Beerball family!

If that's the case, we'll be hard pressed to find such a QB. McNabb has undoubtably slowed down over the last few years, but as NFL QB's go he's still very mobile. Vick (at least Vick prior to his incident) would be one of the few QB's who are more mobile than McNabb. I was watching a game down the stretch this season, and it was like 3rd and 28 or some damn thing, and Donovan took off and ran for 30 yards. The more mobile the better, but if Gailey's offense requires more mobility than McNabb has out of the QB position, I think he should scrap said offense and start from the drawing board.

YE OLE likes that commercial where it's all like "DONOVAN SHAVES WITH... CHUNKY SOOOOOUUUUUP" My feeling is that despite everything that has gone wayward with the coach search and what not... if the F.O. pulls this off and gets McNabb in here, it gains them back a lot of currency. Also, I feel we have a legitimate chance to win immediately with McNabb under center. We can all debate whether McNabb can win the big one or how he does in the playoffs (although he is 9-6 in the playoffs as a starter), but the fact is as a 5 time Pro Bowler and a guy that's consistently thrown for 3500 yds. a season, and a better than 2 to 1 TD/INT ratio he's FAR better than anyone other option we'll have for next season.
