It sounds like this Sando jabroni is merely making conjecture all o'er the NFC West.

The second Brohm sails an 80 yard bomb into the swirling Lake Erie windage and hits Evans for a TD, all heeeezy is gonna break loose on TSW.

Posted by ESPN.com's Mike Sando Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch had plenty of ground to cover in his Rams chat today. Scott Linehan's job security wasn't the only issue after the team benched Marc Bulger. Asked about potential coaching candidates Dick Vermeil, Marty Schottenheimer and Bill Cowher, Thomas said he thought only Schottenheimer would take it, if offered.

Ye Ole' was having himself a nap earlier and a prophetic vision struck! Suddenly I was in the midst of a 1 PM "presser" at OBD... I even had credentials! Next thing I know Ralph steps to the podium and in a somewhat incoherent fashion makes a few a jokes that garnered a courtesy laugh from those of us in the media, after which he had Russ Brandon step to the podium. Russ makes about 10 minutes of small talk outlining the search/interview process for a new coach and then gives the old "without further adieu, it is my great pleasure to introduce the next head coach of the Buffalo Bills, Bill Cowher!" Cowher stepped to the podium and discussed his philosophies on both sides of the ball. Said that he'd be implementing a base 3-4 scheme that would have a lot of zone blitz looks. On offense he said he believed strongly in building a big, physical, supremely talented o-line and really liked what he had seen of Freddie from afar. Also mentioned Marshawn as a tough, physical runner. After roughly 15 minutes he said he had to get to work, and promised to restore the winning tradition to this great franchise. Afterwards there were fabulous refreshments for the media that included deli sandwiches and a delectable fruit chutney! Then, I was over by the deli tray, when Mike Robitaille got down on all fours behind Mike Schopp and gave YE OLE' the thumbs up to signal that the school boy trip was all set up. Just then I gave Schopp a shove and chirped "SURE!" ... sure enough Robi caught him at the knees and Schopp was goin down fast! ... then Ye woke up. I really wanted to see how that turned out too.

Ye Ole's reflection of game/season
Cotton Fitzsimmons replied to Cotton Fitzsimmons's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This needs to be stated... I certainly am not proclaiming Brohm as a lock. I'm just saying he has more ability to be a top tier QB than anyone else on the current roster. I could see that in one game, simply from the manner in which he threw the ball. You can tell he has a superior arm, and was thought to have elite ability coming out of college. While he's not a lock, neither is any other QB coming out this year. However, I do know that if we don't shore up this O-line, it will be hard to develop any QB. If there's another veteran on the FA market who can come in and compete I'm all for it. -
Ye Ole's reflection of game/season

Without further adieu... here is your anecdotal information: When young F. W. Woolworth was a store clerk, he tried to convince his boss to have a ten-cent sale to reduce inventory. The boss agreed, and the idea was a resounding success. This inspired Woolworth to open his own store and price items at a nickel and a dime. He needed capital for such a venture, so he asked his boss to supply the capital for part interest in the store. His boss turned him down flat. "The idea is too risky," he told Woolworth. "There are not enough items to sell for five and ten cents." Woolworth went ahead without his boss's backing, and he not only was successful in his first store, but eventually he owned a chain of F. W. Woolworth stores across the nation. Later, his former boss was heard to remark, "As far as I can figure out, every word I used to turn Woolworth down cost me about a million dollars. -
I really like what I saw from Brohm. Looking at what we have right now, between Fitz, Edwards, and Hamdan, Brohm is the only guy on the roster that can legitimately "make all the throws." He definitely threw with great velocity and had no problem throwing out routes. I'd give him an 8 all things considered. I think he shows some promise to become the top 5 caliber pick that he would've been had he come out after his Jr. year at Louisville. He's going to need time to learn a new offense next season and hopefully get some better blocking up front. That being said, I think Brohm showed the potential to be a very good QB, and that in itself is a win for us given the fact that we picked him up for nothing. I, personally, would prefer to build the O-line with our first/2nd picks in the draft vs. going QB and trying to develop Brohm. Drafting a first rd. QB, once again means no immediate impact and rebuilding mode for another 2-3 years. Brohm going into his 3rd NFL season and a full offseason to prepare may be ready to roll next year.

Lost in this awful era of Bills football is the fact that Schobel is one of the better players the franchise has had. 2nd all time in sacks, without a legitimate pass rusher on the other side of the line. Far from a hall of famer, but he's accomplished a great deal on some very mediocre teams.

Michael Vick Quote
Cotton Fitzsimmons replied to Cotton Fitzsimmons's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is Ye Ole's take on the situation BeastMode... I don't feel that anyone wants anything from him. It would just be more appropriate that in light of everything, he have a little dose of humility. In light of the fact that he committed a crime and went to federal prison, it might play better to show remorse for it and vocalize the fact that he is trying to be a better person and football player every chance he gets or at least say nothing. It's not going to play extremely well to pound your chest and say "look at what Mike Vick has done... nobody could endure this, just Mike Vick because Mike Vick is the best..." Don't get me wrong, I'm all for free speech and he has the right to say what he wants, and I say God bless him if that's how he feels. Ye Ole' just believes that that won't play well in proving that he can be the leader of a football team again. -
Brohm to start against Falcons
Cotton Fitzsimmons replied to bills in va's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No shizzzzznat Big Cat! My thoughts exactly. If Brohm tosses 4 TD's and 400 yds. the annointment will be on, and Ye Ole' will lead the charge! -
Well at least Vick doesn't lack confidence. In receiving his bravery award he was quoted as saying: "I've overcome a lot, more than probably one single individual can handle or bear," Vick said. "You ask certain people to walk through my shoes, they probably couldn't do. Probably 95 percent of the people in this world because nobody had to endure what I've been through...." http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?i...e=ESPNHeadlines

Someone on this team better start taking some mental reps. Holy SHEEEEEE_OT! -
Signing another B-List head coach this offseason: 2 million dollars Choosing not to sign a competent GM: 0 dollars The look on T.O.'s face when we slap the franchise tag on him: Priceless In all honesty, T.O. probably wouldn't mind... he was forced to take a 1 year deal for 6 mil last year, and nobody was beating down his door. The type of coin he'd get from the franchise tag would be far and away more than he'd hope to score anywhere else.

NFL.com Live Stream?
Cotton Fitzsimmons replied to Cotton Fitzsimmons's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Saints driving to post an epic comeback, stay undefeated, AND hand JJ and Wade a big she-ot samitch... ... but I'd rather see Mike Mayock standing around in front of a monitor breaking down cover 2. Awesome! Didn't realize that 2 safeties play over the top on that coverage. Good stuff. -
YE is spending some time with relatives and they don't have the ample TV setup such as YE OLE has with the DirecTV and so on. So YE OLE logs in to the NFL.com as they say they stream these games live. What does YE find? They show 1 or 2 plays and then go to a studio and conduct small talk while the rest of the game is going on. What the hell is this? This is terrible. Show the game or don't. But never... never tease YE OLE!

This is, in fact, false. If the Pats lose out they will have an identical conf. record as us. If the Jets finish 8-8, but their remaining win is against Atlanta, they too will have an identical conf. record. If the Bills were to win out... (hold your flames BOYEEEEE, didn't say they will or will not), there's a reasonable chance they could win the division, because Miami/NYJ/NE all have relatively difficult games left on the docket.
-
Agreed. Has not been a good year by any means, but at 5-8 and mathematically still alive for the division crown with 3 weeks left, there have been much leaner years.

Oh Shannny you....you got what we neeeed. But you say Snyder is just a friend... yeah you say he's just a friend...
