One has to ask, if Obama is elected, and his tax raises are passed, what happens to the additional revenue? This article foretells an enormous increase in suckling at the government breast, with no accountability whatsoever. Contrast this with McCain's idealistic notion to end earmarks as we currently know them.

I have been twisted since January 1990...just once I want to win a Super Bowl. Then I can die in peace. -
And if we lose this game, due to the Sea pass rush, and finish 9-7 and 1 game out of the playoffs, the blame can rest with Peters. If he reported last week at this time, he'd be playing vs. Sea.

My take...Crowell practiced through training camp to try and get an extension done. If the Bills did one, he would gone as far as he could this season, and had surgery when the knee gave. He got no extension, figured might as well look out for me and scheduled the surgery, figuring he could come back in 2-4 weeks. Bills got pissed and put him on IR, a petulant move. In the NFL, I begrudge no player for trying to take care of himself in the world of non-guranteed contracts. Did Crowell look after himself...yes, after he showed up and played good soldier. Did the Bills potentially screw themselves for weeks 4-17...yes. Bad move for the Bills. -

John What about one big carrot? If your daughter is so talented musically, and may want to make that a career, does she know that they have schools for music? Do you? What if you did a bit of research into a place like Julliard, used it as a motivational carrot. "What if you could go to a cschool focused solely on music? Gotta have decent enough grades..." Just a random thought. http://www.juilliard.edu/

One question...are you hot? Because if you are, that could be why he was incredibly nice to you. -
That could be the worst post I've read on this board since ICE and SpikedLemonade were posting. WOW!

I always order my steak medium rare, sometimes with a little tartare as an app. I eat out a lot. I have never had my request turned down.

I've never heard of a place that would not cook the meat the way the custoemr wants it (except Peter Lugers, they will not serve a well done steak). This is odd. I do avoid these chain restaurants like the plague, however.

The real funny thing will be if Rodgers is the next Todd Collins....I can see the following exchange in December 2008... You mean we pushed out Brett freakin' Favre, who had a decent 2008 season, in a brand new offense, for the [insert name of team he is dealt to] for Aaron Rodgers??? What were we thinking? We were 2-3 plays away from the Super Bowl the year before and we don't take Favre back to give Aaron Rodgers a shot? What does Thompson think...great NFL QBs just grow on trees? He should have asked the Bills, Dolphins and Broncos how tough it was to find even competant QB play after their Hall of Famers retired. How stupid were we? Brett...pleaseee come back to Green Bay!!

Simple answer...don't eat it. Publicize how bad it is for people. My Demolition Man (A really under-rated social commentary movie BTW) reference was apt if there is anyone supporting this... -
Ryan Howard 2006 313 AVG, 425 OBP, 58 HR, 149 RBI, 659 SLG, 181 K (Won MVP) 2007 268 AVG, 392 OBP, 47 HR, 136 RBI, 584 SLG, 199 K 2008* 236 AVG, 325 OBP, 29 HR, 87 RBI, 512 SLG, 132 K * Through 377 ABs, not including AUG and SEPT, traditionally his best months. My guess is he finishes this year with 255/365/55/145/590/210 Serious numbers indeed...numbers unlike any other major league player (except perhaps Josh Hamilton this year) has put up over the same time period.

The real problem with the models was that they assumed that default/foreclosure would be a localized event (loans would fail in one place, but not nationally). The models never accounted for the risk of national default/foreclosure. The securities were structured in the same way. For example, lets say you were a hedge fund, that wanted to beef up its cash every December. You could purchase a tranche of mortgages that only included December payments. And, then lets say that you believed your model, that repayment risk was localized, so you ensured your tranche was comprised of loans made all over the country. And lets say you didn't think you needed the AAA piece, but bought the BBB piece, based on your model and because it was much cheaper. You could be screwed when the tranche itself hits ceratin events of default/foreclosure and the AAA piece gets paid first, you may get nothing off this rated security, let alone your promised cash flows.

I agree with you in certain situations, but power hitters tend to have more K's than other types of hitters.
