  1. Best of luck to him!
  2. Here's some more Chad Chat...this one is about him being sued for allegedly promising to give away a car at a raffle, and reneging on that and other things... http://news.enquirer.com/apps/pbcs.dll/art...S0103/803260385
  3. This is the First Day of Trent. Will He rest on the Seventh Day?
  4. He certainly does. Also, CIN takes a huge cap and cash hit if he leaves the team. And I doubt CIN is willing to pay two #1 picks. And if who they favor isn't there at the #9 spot, they may well trade down to get out of the pricey top ten...
  5. In Hamilton County, Ohio, some lenders - almost always out-of-State entities - have not and will not register the deeds. So the last person of record, the "foreclosee" so to speak have been lit upon by the cities, towns, and the county to repair/maintain property they no longer own and occupy.
  6. Do Wacka do Wacka do?
  7. I'd be a bit surprised to see CIN go for a LB. They have plenty, but the last two seasons, starters dropped like flies. They expect MLB Ahmad Brooks and MLB Thurmann O'Dell to return. They re-signed OLB's Rashard Jeanty and Dhani Jones, signed UFA Daryl Blackstock (AZ) and UFA Brandon Johnson (STL). Street FA Jones was a pleasant surprise last season with 89 total tackles in 9 starts. Another mid-season acquisition, Anthony Schlegal, played OK. They had hopes for a rookie out of Ga. Tech - Erick Henderson, who broke his wrist in practice before season's start. They acquired DE Antwan Odom from TEN, and because of last years' wipe-out of LB starters, DE Robt. Geathers played several games at LB. However, the defensive-guru-who-proved-not-to-be-a-defensive-guru...Marvin Lewis, certainly is in love with linebackers.
  8. Something to do with this being a leap year?
  9. I tune into P&Q...Peace and Quiet. I wonder how many hours per day the average TSW poster bombards themselves with noise?
  10. Anthony Wright might come into play as a back-up, since NYG siged David Carr recently. CIN signed Wright for the '06 season as insurance if Palmer couldn't recover from his knee. Wright played a lot in that pre-season for them - not bad, either. Palmer came back so Wright sat, and was released at the end of the season. He's a decent sort.
  11. The # of mergers stopped by the DoJ are rarer than hen's teeth. I believe the Clinton Adm. holds the record for most mergers allowed. If the DoJ gives companies trouble, they just go to Congress and spred some cash to remove any irritant.
  12. The tv coverage of same leaves a lot to be desired...only a few seconds of coverage, panning camera shots, logos and promotions on the screen etc. Title IX needs to be enforced !!!
  13. No, not new - but much more widespread. I think discussion of this is best in a separate thread...which I'll do a later date - I'm busy repainting my kitchen. A big job - wall scrub, wallpaper removal (ugh), prime coats, 2 topcoats...and then onto the tedium of cabinet re-coating. One of those projects where you ask yourself...Why did I start this? EDIT: Editorial from the Cincy Enquirer, that touches on college admission "anxiety": http://news.enquirer.com/apps/pbcs.dll/art...20324/1020/EDIT
  14. That...along with bragging and belittlement of others being new, prized society values. Narcissism rules today.
  15. Happy Easter !!!
  16. Happy B-Day! Sorry 'bout that flu...ugh.
  17. Did he ever play without a mask? Other then when 12 years old?
  18. There's never been a euro player to match the likes of Gump Worsley! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gump_Worsley
  19. I guess this means he won't be called on to testify as to her good character in her upcoming firearm violation trial. Oh well.
  20. ...and hoping that one of you will get a MandyGram today.
  21. How tragic... Bless his soul.
  22. Perhaps he realizes that most meals for sale at a restaurant are artery cloggers? Or read the on-line health department citations on the local, commercial eateries? And that he can prepare and pack fresher, cleaner vegetables, fruits, meats, breadstuffs and put them in his own bucket?
  23. We had one (Dutchess) when we were kids. Agreed - smart, pleasant, doting breed. Absent livestock, they will herd little kids. When we were little, and if the weather threatened to turn, she would collect us from the yard, nuzzle, nip, and prod us up onto the back porch, then sit at the top of the steps to protect us against come what may.
  24. Doesn't seem to be a correlation yet... http://www.alscenter.org/about_als/causes.cfm
