  1. Some Chad Chat... http://www.joesportsfan.com/column.php?storyid=257
  2. I could see CIN trading down, simply because their skinflint owner wouldn't want to pay top 10 $$$.
  3. Defenders aren't allowed to leave their feet during kick attempts. No?
  4. Scroll down for a lovely picture of his agent... http://news.enquirer.com/apps/pbcs.dll/art...PT02/803190369/
  5. Rain. The weather folks are predicting 4 inches over today and tomorrow, and flooding because of previously saturated soil.
  6. He's a LB coming in at the end of a play to make sure a WR is down. Love that Bills short pass strategy...
  7. Just popular trash at the bedside, recently. The chronic food and designer fashion name-dropper crime intrigue authors, on loan from the public library. I did buy a Martha Grimes mystery this past Saturday - Richard Jury, Melrose Plant, Aunt Ardry...the usual characters so far. The title is "Old Wine Shades". So far so good. Read a Fannie Flagg work a couple of months ago...Welcome to the World, Baby Girl!. I recommend it.
  8. Game day coaching. Squib kicks are idiotic - disrupts all the things you work on most in ST practice and during a game. They are a cowardly lack of confidence in what works.
  9. I think game day playcalling and partying the night before had its effect. Thomas nor Smith were dummies. Smith was superior at following blockers...Thomas was not a slouch there either. I think a couple of the Bills' SB losses were due to better prep by the opposition.
  10. Om...Om...Om...Om...
  11. What's his vet minimum? A million bucks?...dunno. Who wants such a paltry sum?
  12. Took a basketball pass that hit my little finger and dislocated the tip. It struck straight up. Fortunately, a fellow saw that, and immediately grabbed my hand and pulled the finger back into location. Good man.
  13. Naa...the front office people are rolling in filthy lucre, and their 40 buck lunches are a comp expense because all their lunches are business meetings.
  14. I know. That's why I said "as of 3/16/08".
  15. I wonder where they go, and what they have.
  16. Thanks, Bill. I'm on shaky ground with the contract 'n cap nuances.
  17. He had 2 td receptions called back because of penalty - the other end failed to line up on the LOS in both. One of them was something like 70 yards. He's a big WR, and showed an ability to execute the b'gals pass offense demands - timing routes and getting to a spot for the reception. That's the aspect that the weeping Ocho Stinko stabbed them with last season. Johnson routinely broke the wrong way, cut short or overran patterns. I believe they'd trade Johnson if they could, but the combo of owner Brown's refusal to eat dead money plus the cap hit probably means that the unhappy pouting millionaire stays. Although after June 1st, cap hits get spread out over two years, IIRC.
  18. Did that lawyer go against her grain?
  19. He was a 2005 6th rounder out of UCLA. Did a fair job returning kicks and in ST coverage that season. There was good hope for him, but he suffered a hip injury returning a kick in the last minute of a 2006 2nd game CIN win over CLE 34 -17. With WR Henry's woes, the B'gals penciled him into their '07 plans - but the hip didn't hold up. A decent young man - He'll likely be an asset to MIA if the injury is healed. http://news.enquirer.com/apps/pbcs.dll/art...PT02/803170382/
  20. I've no basic problem with a 1st round OL pick. Not sure they would find a starter there at #11, though, in this draft. However, they need some immediate pizzazz injected into their moribund offense. So, hard as it is for me to say, I opt for WR.
  21. The Bills' OL was an improvement over the previous season...but it is an open point as to how they will perform if they change a TE position that generally blocked, to a TE going out on more pass patterns.
