  1. Since you are determined to walk into it...I believe ewe.
  2. A member of the B'gals staff quipped to the effect, "These linemen have nothing to do but stand around and get bored".
  3. I saw the Indie flick "Starting Out In the Evening" this past weekend. They showed a preview - with Indy (I think) and somebody else scooting away on a new Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Product placement, anyone?...
  4. You are aware that the networks and cable crowd's early predictions of a Bush victory in FLA affected the vote, and that since then, they delay their pronouncements. Without their jumping the gun, Bush wins FLA by a bigger margin. Just a detail worth repeating. Along with the Dems instituting the so-called "butterfly ballots" in the contested counties they controlled in the first place, eh? Inconvenient Truths?
  5. This question plums the depths...
  6. Union rules: the roster is limited to 53 to insure that salaries are ramped up for the chosen few. Most unions want as large a membership as possible, but not the player's union. It is a union of elites; a limited guild. You can only dress 49 or so on game day. 16 games. So - use whatever player has the best skills.
  7. Firing shots at a fellow, barred from defending himself, is...wrong.
  8. No. You are. He wants more $$$. He is already in the top 5 in WR pay, he with his agent Rosenhaus and the B'gals have already re-negotiated his contract twice. He is notorious for disappearing at the end of a season. I don't expect anyone here to watch much CIN ball, but he will and has dogged it whenever it suited him. I said months ago, that he will sit before CIN knuckles under. They will refuse to eat his cap hit and his contract money. You want 'em...enjoy.
  9. He has baby mommas and a lawsuit pursuing him hot 'n heavy. As well as an immense measure of self-importance. Did you watch the recent replay of the CIN-BUF game? He short-armed and intentionally mis-ran routes, then decided as he was hitting the turf as Whitner closed in, he would be injured. Then was transported to a hospital, where not a thing was found, and miraculously bounced back, and was at practice. If you think this cat is a shining knight valiantly protesting the CIN organization, think again...
  10. It was certainly a surprise here that he got cut. So, encourage BUF to sign him. If they do so, your problem with all this goes away.
  11. Too complicated. The B'gals simply arranged to have a half-cent of extra sales tax taken from my wallet on any purchase in Hamilton County.
  12. I tip my hat to you, as a fellow devotee of repartee.
  13. Like those who think no attempt at comedy can go unpunished?
  14. What would be an example of another option? Comatose, perhaps?
  15. Should I go back and add a smiley?
  16. Optimists should be drowned in a half-full swimming pool. Pragmatists should be disposed of in the most cost-efficient way possible. Be a pessimist - because by definition, any surprise that comes along is a good one.
  17. Is there any info out there regarding the extent of Peters' injury, or rehabilitation progress?
  18. Good going, Steve. I've always felt that the Murano is a very well-styled vehicle, standing out from today's jellybean look-alikes.
  19. You mean...like after seeing eye-popping rookie signings? I'd sure like to be his agent, push for a new deal, and get the cut...
  20. I'm glad to see that the humble chad isn't being blamed anymore. That's important when it comes to disenfranchisment. Amazing and assured, since we have a Democratic Governor elected in OH in 2006, and despite OH election results being delayed across the State in '07, long lines, etc. - even in those still-Democratically controlled counties that were the hotbeds of the claimed disenfranchisement when there was a Republican Governor....well, all is, and now, fair. All voting problems screamed about can be solved in a year, the evidence says.
  21. I'm fine with that...we all have opinions.
  22. I think the DEN and AZ games are legit question marks. DEN's hard to figure - but AZ with HC Wisenhunt IMO shouldn't be taken lightly. As to your "Notes:"...TE, Evans, Retread coach... Speculation on your part, right?
  23. OTAs are useless exercises for any vet lineman. No pads, no hitting. Even the most radical offensive change is...what? Move your foot a half-inch this way before the snap?
