  1. Well - save IW, OSU, WI, the rest - seemed to use spread offenses often. Just my impression. I'll wait and see how Maybin does with a TE line blocking, and a blocker in the backfield.
  2. Yes, re Everett. I'm with Coach April on the interpretation angle. But I also think he knows which side the Bills' bread has been buttered on the past several seasons. B...b...b...b. Sorry for the inadvertent alliteration.
  3. Circumspection is in order...money counts, but in the scheme of things, cutting an LT still effective to save 3M...ummm. Maybe he still can bring the goods..dunno. A few years ago, he was chirping about not getting enough "love" from the B'gals - the newspaper showed him leaning on his $1M+ Bugatti Veyron. Love hurts. http://www.bengals.com/news/article-1/beng...6d-010172613abc
  4. I wouldn't pick him as a QB. If I had a late round 3rd, a comp pick perhaps, or in the 4th, I'd seriously consider him if I didn't have a dire positional need at that point. He seems a terrific competitor - and if I drafted him, it's up to me to decide where I play him.
  5. Aprils' vehemence is perfectly understandable. He gets it, and knows full well that without the consistently favorable field positions for the offense and defense provided by the STs the past several years, the Bills might have been a 3, 4, 5 win club. Just speculation, but I wonder if the Kevin Everett injury has something to do with these changes. Dunno...
  6. TMQ (Greg Easterbrook) once opined that the most dangerous strip of land on Earth was that between Brett Favre and a camera...
  7. Yep. 3+ sacks on average for a DT is pretty good. But a DT that's reliable in clogging up the run is very valuable, IMO. It makes the opposition change their running strategy if they can't shove a DT out of the way. They have to go around, and that gets the LBs into play.
  8. Guff as a young lad? http://www.artchive.com/artchive/g/gainsborough/blue_boy.jpg
  9. I'm struggling with a description. Some Beatle mop, a little bit of Prince Valiant, a touch of the '40's female movie stars...dunno.
  10. I guess I should read People magazine now and then...
  11. I sure expected them to draft a DT or LB on day two. Finishing up with 3 DBs seemed...odd.
  12. Ok - but the subject being discussed here is a rapid-fire, no-huddle offense.
  13. From the mouths of babes... All in fun...
  14. 6) Get a fork lift to put Walker on a pallet and get him off the field.
  15. Death by Welker. NE* could set an NFL record for most first downs in a single game.
  16. After getting up from blowing past the line with its' missed assignments, and flattening the QB - I suppose so.
  17. With 2 rookie Guards, a new Center, and a former RT playing LT?
  18. This is a very nice press release.
  19. Or if they didn't hold their choir practice 10+ yards away from the LOS?
  20. Yeah, the offense is primed to grab the gold. That's why out of 8 picks, only 3 were for offensive players, and then 5 for the defense.
  21. Some seem to think that only folks who were professional scouts can offer up opinions. There's an ex-MLB player on the late afternoon radio here in Cincinnati. He's fond of angrily saying to callers "Hey, did you play the game! Huh! Did ya?!!!" If only those that "played the game" mattered, the stands would have a couple of thousand per game, and he would have been earning a hundred bucks or so per game - maybe.
