  1. Are you daft? Brady led the Pats to all 5 of their scores in just over two quarters of play. His line (12/21, 57%, 127 yards, 1 TD, 0 INT) was far better than all the other QBs listed. It's funny you mention Brady man-crushes. You seem to have one yourself.
  2. Who the hell is running ESPN? "ESPN Hollywood" hosted by Mario friggin' Lopez from Saved by the Bell?
  3. That's the media spin, that they lost a ton of players. The only player that they lost who actually played a key role last year is Tedy Bruschi. Granted, that's a big loss, but it's one player. On topic, the thread starter's prediction seems reasonable. And that would be a positive season for a team with a a first-year starter at QB, I think. Think '04 Bengals (and yes, I know the Bills have a better D and ST, but the Bengals had more supporting talent on offense.)
  4. If it takes you 59 minutes to make, you know you're doing something wrong. It's impossible to prepare it in such a short time. You have to fry the noodles.
  5. Michael Moore's a fuggin' !@#$. Can't stand that guy.
  6. What makes you think I put it on him? I hear it was Losman who did it.
  7. A fair point, but I'm a sucker for a good argument, especially one I can't lose. I doubt I'll be able to keep it up too much longer. Thus, I'm voting for the T-Bone thread.
  8. The argument itself is stupid, certainly, but only because it's been ended 50 times and he still fights on. He's like the villain in a bad horror movie.
  9. Certainly not me. Seriously, I'm sure you guys have encountered the side of AKC I'm seeing now. Dude's a Bledsoe apologist.
  10. Explain, then, why he was top 4 last year in attempts over 40 yards, completions over 40 yards, and completion percentage over 40 yards. Explain why you've hyped Daune Culpepper as a superior deep passer when Brady's QB rating on passes over 40 yards was 90.6, a full 2 points higher than Culpepper's.
  11. I'm incredibly tired of it, which is why I'm trying to end it by getting AKC to admit that he was wrong. Not so. I'm just trying to point out that Brady is viewed by many as an excellent deep passer, and that the numbers support such views. That's something one does when arguing opinions. AKC and I are arguing over already-established facts. The argument is no longer over who's right, but rather over when AKC will eventually admit defeat.
  12. So because Brady didn't throw a deep pass in one game out of 16, that negates the fact that he was top 4 in the NFL in deep pass attempts, deep pass completions, and deep pass completion percentage during the 2004 NFL season?
  13. One game? I'll do you 15 better. Here are the 16 games in which Brady established himself as a long ball passer in the league of McNabb and Culpepper: Indianapolis @ Arizona @ Buffalo Miami Seattle New York Jets @ Pittsburgh @ St. Louis Buffalo @ Kansas City Baltimore @ Cleveland Cincinnati @ Miami @ New York Jets San Francisco Why limit it to just one? Those 16 games make up the 2004 NFL season. During that season, Brady: - completed as many deep passes as Culpepper, and just 2 fewer than McNabb (in 9 fewer attempts). - attempted 16 deep passes, just 1 less than Culpepper and good for 4th in the league. - completed deep passes at a .438 rate (7-16), better than both McNabb and Culpepper and good for 3rd in the league. There you have it. Doesn't get any more straightforward than that. One game, you asked for? Great deep passers - nay, great players - aren't made in single games, they are made over the course of entire seasons, and into the post-season. Remember, it was after Brady threw two perfect deep passes that led to 14 points in the AFCC game that a major national media outlet dubbed him a great deep passer. A win-or-go-home game near the end of a long season - that, truly, is where legends are born.
  14. I'm a moron? ATBNG didn't even post any LINKS, as you claim he did. He posted only numbers. If I'm a moron, why do I know that and you DON'T? He did mention that he got his stats from CNN/SI, though, so I went there and found some splits. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/...ing_splits.html You were both right and wrong. Right in that Brady's QB rating on passes over 20 yards last year was quite low. Wrong in that it was not 58, but 54. But we are not discussing passes over 20 yards, now are we? We are discussing passes over 45 (or 41, in CNN/SI's stats). I'm not surprised that you didn't mention Brady's QB rating on deep passes, which, if you'll remember, is the actual topic of this discussion. It's 90.6. What was Daunte Culpepper's, you ask? That beacon of deep passing proficiency? That QB that you claim is a true deep passer in a way that Tom Brady could never hope to be? 88.5 It is done, troll.
  15. Apparently not. If it reveals what you claim it does, you should be anxious to point it out to me.
  16. What 20 yards? I thought this was a discussion about deep passes. You know, those types of throws you qualified as "having to travel 45+ yards in the air?" Show me the numbers, or stop trolling.
  17. My buddy didn't offer any stats on completions, attempts, yards, TDs, or INTs on passes over 20 yards, at least not that I can see. Please point them out to me if I'm missing them. Until then, I'll continue to believe that your big red 58 is a fabrication of your psychologically unsound mind.
  18. Ah, but it's been proven in this thread that, during games, Brady throws more deep passes than all but 3 other NFL QBs. So it can't be that. Got a source for that yet? And I thought a pass had to be over 45 yards for you to consider it a deep pass. What with this 20 yard number?
  19. What, specifically, convinced you? ATBNG and I provided a number of statistical breakdowns detailing Brady's deep passing prowess, while AKC has posted none, save a QB rating that he's refused to verify.
  20. I'm not talking about next year. This thread is the result of a (false) statement by AKC that Brady is strictly a short passer, followed by a (true) comment by me stating that Brady has become one of the best deep throwers in the game today. I provided indisputable proof of my claim, and now AKC appears to have made up a false QB rating to back up his claim, and is just posting that in large red lettering every 5 seconds. He stated a falsehood, I called him on it, and now I just want him to admit that he was wrong.
  21. Any source yet on that number?
  22. How is he "kicking my ass?" A Bills fan has even joined me in uncovering the inaccuracy of his claims.
  23. And I and ATBNG have posted proof of this countless times. All you offer are empty personal attacks and made-up numbers of which you refuse to provide proof.
  24. Where? Post the numbers.
