  1. I am assuming that his decision to come back is based on the fact that he's been medically cleared to return by every doctor he's sought out, not the team's record.
  2. How is a player coming off PUP after being cleared by multiple doctors a desperation move?
  3. They have an extra #3, #4, and #5 next year, but just one #1 and #2 each.
  4. That's the thing. All of Winfield's guaranteed money cam in the form of an '04 roster bonus, instead of a signing bonus. If they trade Winfield, the Vikings don't take a dead money hit. I'm not sure how I feel about this. Seems like a steep price. Seems like a Yankees move - overpaying to win NOW. Thankfully, it smells like BS that won't happen anyway.
  5. Start game + team wins = credited with win. Take it up with NFL recordkeepers. Don't pretend that Bledsoe played well in that game, though. He didn't. Yeah, I'm still pissed about Brady losing that game for the Pats. Oh, wait...
  6. That did indeed happen. The guy who started it. Certainly. I don't seem to remember Brady carelessly tossing the ball over his head while being sacked in '01.
  7. So Bledsoe couldn't manage the "system." And Brady's won 3 Super Bowls in the "system." But it's the "system" that's great, not Brady? I don't follow. Every team does that. I'm not denying the that the Patriots run a specific system. All team run specific systems. But the Patriots' is no better than anyone else's. So far, two QBs have played in it. One sucked in it, the other excelled. I agree, he's a QB who plays in a system. There are 31 other system QBs out there, too.
  8. I remember that guy being lights out in the preseason. Of course, it was against 3rd stringers, but you never know. It's the Phins, though, so I hope he sucks.
  9. I'm admitting that he watches more TV than I do. I know from his posts that he knows FAR less about than I do about a number of things (Brady, football, abstract thinking, logical reasoning). He made a baseless, dubious claim about the coverages Brady faces, and has yet to provide any actual evidence in support of it. I've been arguing with AKC long enough to know that that usually means he fabricated it.
  10. I don't have the NFL Network, and if I did, I'm not sure I'd have time to watch 11 different football analysis programs.
  11. Standard television broadcasts typically don't give the viewer a good look at the safeties or where they're playing. So to make this claim, I assume you've somehow managed to gain access to the Patriots' game film. I'll be waiting on that analysis of safety coverage versus Brady. Go check your game films.
  12. Care to provide any evidence whatsoever that Brady sees "almost no coverage over the top?"
  13. I hope you're not going to actually wait for a straight answer. Expect something along the lines of "I understand the game of football - you don't." AKC is too football what Tom Cruise is to psychology - an amateur posing as a professional.
  14. Don't care much for being reminded of your own ridiculousness, eh?
  15. Brady's been pretty good at NOT saving his worst performances for January. Manning still has some trouble with that.
  16. Bledsoe's managing the game pretty well in Dallas. He managed the game pretty well in '02 for you guys. He managed the game well in his early years with the Pats. I'm no Bledsoe fan, but the guy's a reasonably capable passer. He was pure crap in the Pats' almighty "system." How's Brady doing this year without the "system?" Against an historically difficult schedule, he's leading the NFL in passing yards, has a 2-1 TD-INT ratio, and is posting a career high passer rating. All that without any help from the running game.
  17. No, he did not. Your memory appears to have failed you in this instance.
  18. This coming from the guy who once said that the top deep passers in the game throw 5-6 40+ yard passes per game.
  19. Bledsoe is the only other starting QB that Vinatieri has regularly played with. I thought even you could figure that out. Now quit dodging and answer the question. If Vinatieri's making Brady good and not the other way around, why wasn't Vinatieri booting Super Bowl winning kicks when Bledsoe was the QB?
  20. Enough with the hypotheticals. Where WAS Vinatieri when Bledsoe was the QB? I can tell you this, no was talking about him as one of the best clutch kickers in NFL histroy! Bottom line, Brady and Vinatieri are both HOF locks, and historically clutch. When the game's on the line and a FG is needed, Brady gets them in position and Vinatieri knocks it through.
  21. I don't agree with Johnny Coli's assessment of Brady, but his post was not made in an inflammatory manner. Don't try to rationalize your behavior by dragging others through the mud.
  22. Of course not. Lately, I've been saying negative things about my team. Undoubtedly. Uh... No. A lot of people here slam the Pats. Have you ever wondered why I react differently to your posts and AKC's? You two post in an inflammatory manner. You are communicatively deficient. I simply intend to shine some light on the defects in your behavior, with the hope that you will recognize them and work to become a more effective communicator.
  23. A stroke, yes. A stroke that was the result of a hole in the heart that has since been repaired.
