  1. There just wasn't a good enough view of the ball to get the conclusive eveidence needed to overturn a call made on the field. If it had been called incomplete on the field, there wouldn't have been enough evidence to overturn that either.
  2. I would like to apologize, on behalf of my team, to all you Bills fans who had to sit through one of the worst played halves of football I've ever seen. Maybe a bit overstated, but I'm disgusted right now. Your guys came to play, mine apparently did not.
  3. It's somewhat difficult to do that when you've never retired in the first place.
  4. But he just loves the game so much! He's like a kid out there. Sorry, John Madden briefly gained control of my brain.
  5. People who haven't watched the Patriots since 2002 say that he doesn't. Back then, he used to float his deep passes and didn't put a whole lot of zip on anything in the mid to long range. Starting in 2003, though, he started going downfield often and with great effectiveness, and the Pats' bread and butter pass shifted from the 5 yard slant to the 15 yard in. Nowadays, he's actually one of the best vertical QBs in the game, by the numbers.
  6. You had me at dipshit.
  7. That would definitely work too, since his stroke was caused by brain trauma and not a hole in his heart.
  8. Ah, thank you. That's great news. Last I heard, he wasn't practicing.
  9. Well, don't take my word for it. As a Pats fans who doesn't live in Pats country, I'm not always the MOST up-to-date on news of this nature. Some national media member was talking about Dillon's chances of tearing up the Buffalo run defense, as if it was a given that he would play, so maybe my news is old. Yes, Pass is one of the notable few who ISN'T on the injury report, and has done a great job filling in for the injured Dillon and Faulk. I don't blame Dillon entirely for the Pats' running woes (the OL has been bad), but Pass has seemed to run better behind the same OL. He's definitely stepped up.
  10. Last I heard was that he's missed practices this week. Most of the mainstream media's been acting like he'll play, but with the Pats' injury luck this year, I'll guess he sits out.
  11. Brady hasn't been a "dink and dunk" QB since 2002.
  12. Dillon's still questionable on the Patriots' injury list.
  13. True. That said, Patrick Pass has kind of looked better running than Dillon has his year.
  14. You guys are crazy. Have you SEEN the Pats' defense this year? I'm not saying the Bills will win, but don't dismiss it outright.
  15. I remember Bledsoe tossing a couple in garbage time in '02.
  16. He should see if he can use that photo on his driver's license.
  17. http://www.patriots.com/news/index.cfm?ac=...d=13124&pcid=41 You're right in that it wasn't '93, it was '94, but the difference is negligible.
  18. I'm saying that, under Belichick and Weis, the Patriots were 5-13 before Brady, and 60-17 since. If you want to credit that success to the likes of Antowain Smith, that's fine, but don't be surprised if that view isn't taken seriously.
  19. Yeah, 5-13 in '00-'01. Pro Football Weekly called them the team least likely to win a Super Bowl in the next 5 years (which pissed me off, but looking back, the talent level was incredibly low). The idea that Brady benefitted from taking over a great team is a myth.
  20. I've never lived in Boston.
  21. I don't live in L.A., I don't live in Boston, and I'm not a Sox fan. What does any of that have to do with me?
  22. Any evidence of this seemingly-never-ending mantra? Or is just something you say to make yourself feel better? The Patriots are the only team I've ever rooted for, and the only team I ever will root for. A series of events led me to begin rooting for them when they were the worst team in the NFL, so I started out on the very bottom. I'm certainly not the oldest, most experienced, or longest-tenured Patriots fan; but they have always been my team, and they always will be. So whatever truth there may be to you "bandwagon fan" mantra, it doesn't apply to me, so I kindly ask you to stop generalizing.
  23. That's not true! Sometimes, he begins them with "I'm-a tell you what..."
