  1. Believe me, after a game like yesterday, my instinct is to be concerned; and in the past, I would've been. But I've seen over the last few years that the Patriots are hardly the same team in the preseason as they are in the regular season. There's always going to be pockets of guys who always want the back-up. There were fervent Michael Bishop fans in New England in '99-'00, and now there are Flutie and Cassel backers. Not too many of those, thankfully. Yeah, but he stared down his receiver like he was doing a Bledsoe impression.
  2. Just like last year with the Bengals, Belichick is smart enough to not show anything from the gameplan to a team he's going to play later in the year. "Vanilla" is the key word here. If the Pats starters only beat the Saints starters by 11 in the regular season, then I'll be concerned.
  3. This bringing me right back to last year's 31-3 loss to the Bengals, which resulted in: - crowing by Stadium Wallers - a 1-3 Pats preseason - a 17-2 Super Bowl year I like where this is going
  4. That Donahoe is shrewed. Now McGahee will be a super-fast man/beast hybrid.
  5. A guy down at the deli told me that the leg is going to have to be amputated tomorrow. But it's definitely true.
  6. Yeah, as much as I hate the idea of it, the Jets will be solid solid team this year, and they have improved on a team that handled itself well in the playoffs last year. Eveyone rags on Pennington because his arm isn't very strong, but he's very accurate and relatively poised.
  7. HIS logic is weak? How on earth has Losman shown he's better than anyone? I'm not saying he won't eventually be twice the QB Bledsoe was, but he certainly hasn't yet shown that he is. So the Jets, who were a kicker away from the AFCC game last year and have improved in the offseason, will go 6-10; but the Bills, who missed the playoffs last year despite playing against backups in their elimination game and will be starting a QB with next-to-no experience, will do better. And his logic is weak?
  8. The evolution I remember from reading it was: Short Bus Fritatta (CTM) | | | v Retard Fritatta (???) | | | v Retatta (Chef Jim)
  9. The "friggin abortion."
  10. **shoots RJ in the shoulder**
  11. English, mother!@#$er, do you SPEAK IT?!
  12. Yeah, you can stop now. You got called out on your BS, so just let it go.
  13. So because "several" Pats fans you work with can't remember the name of the (Hugh Millen, was it?) guy who QBed the Pats 13 years ago, that means all Pats fans are bandwagoners? Seems like a bit of a small sample size.
  14. You forgot to mention my passion for Star Wars.
  15. I'm just messing around. I get treated pretty well for the most part.
  16. With the way I get treated around here? No, I'm even less lucky than my poor, injury-riddled Patriots.
  17. I don't know whether to feel complimented or insulted.
  18. I found neither controversial. Both were pretty much by the book. And calls go for and against the Pats every week. They're no different from any other team in that respect. The Pats have gotten absolutely screwed by the refs on occasion (several of the more blatant calls have been brought up by me on this board), but it all balances out in the end. Remember Pats/Bills in Buffalo last year? The refs missed a Dillon fumble that (I believe) led to a TD, and the refs missed a blatant hold on Moorman's long scramble that led to a TD. It all balances out. Brady completing a pass while on his ass....TALENTED.
  19. Many. Ones that that don't have to start 40+ different players due to injury, for starters. That was more than 4 years ago. So the Pats are lucky because "rules" like the tuck "rule" are enforced during their games? Ball touches a player out of bounds, the plays dead. That's the rule. Take issue with the rule all you want, but it's not "luck" that is was called. Besides, if the Pats were really lucky, their WR wouldn't have been knocked unconscious in the first place.
  20. I wonder what supernatural power drew me to this thread. Oh yeah, it was the word "Pats" in the thread title.
  21. And every Bills fan I've met outside of the internet is a serial rapist. See, I can make unfounded claims too. You prove yours first.
  22. Your point? The Bills and Pats both have very passionate fans who make very nice fan sites. I think we've established that. In addition to the fan sites, the KFFL boards are dominated by Pats fans, and have been since they were the MouthOff boards (in the '90s). This "mine is bigger than yours" contest is getting a little old, especially since they're essentially the same size.
