  1. I really hope that this is just someone's fabrication. If not, then Miami fans are going to be a helluva lot happier that we got Wannstedt than we will be that they got MM!
  2. There's been a few articles & threads indicating that certain defensive coaches (I'm not sure which ones) kind of criticized MM while in the company of defensive players -- very, very unprofessional whether deserved or not.
  3. To read some of the threads on this board, Buffalo might just as well write the season off now and just wait until next year. It's obvious, you know, that no coaching staff at the Senior Bowl = 2-14 record this coming season. What's the point now? Might as well just fold up the tent and give up for this year -- too late now, you know. I simply do not follow this logic. It's one stupid game, albeit an important one, and does not make or break a franchise if full coaching staff is not assembled to scout it. Anyhow, in all likelihood, whoever Levy hires is probably scouting the game right now.
  4. when our defensive coaching staff was ridiculing MM? Seems guys like Troy Vincent, Lawyer Milloy, and London Fletcher should have stood up to this back-stabbing talk and remind everyone else that this type of thing is NOT conducive to winning. Our so-called leaders are really just followers.
  5. Her article is dead-on correct. The fans posting here lately (not all, but many) have been negative beyond all reason. These negative fans don't deserve to have this team. I wouldn't blame Ralph if he took this franchise elsewhere -- enough is enough.
  6. This has got to be one of the most negative threads I've seen in a while. Why the hell is everyone so down on Levy? He hasn't even made his first major decision as GM and everyone wants to toss him out. I think maybe the Bills should be given a year off -- a "Bye Year". THEN, maybe all you insolent bastards would appreciate that we even HAVE an NFL team! Levy WILL find a coach and he WILL find a good coach. I trust Levy's judgement. He doesn't have to make a decision today. He can take all the time he needs to find his guy.
  7. Agree! JP has nothing but upside. He is the future. Time for the team and the fans to get on board with that fact.
  8. You are probably correct, but I don't really like the reasoning. Obviously, there are good candidates out there in the coordinator ranks. TD just failed to find the right ones. Also, it might have helped both Gregg Williams and Mike Mularkey if TD had done a better job bringing in more talent on the offensive & defensive lines. Just because these hirings didn't work out doesn't mean you can't find a good HC in the coordinator ranks. The HC search needs to be wide open and thorough. I don't care if it takes a couple more weeks -- find the right guy. Rushing this decision will be the worst move to make.
  9. There will never be enough calls to go against the Patriots to pay them back for the "Tuck Rule" call.
  10. It seems like anyone who is HC material in the NFL ought to take it upon themselves to scout the Senior Bowl -- with or without an association to any particular team. Even if someone is hired by end of week, would he have time to assemble his entire staff in one week?! I don't think this is a valid enough reason to rush the decision.
  11. I agree. This decision doesn't need to happen this instant. Sherman could be the right guy, but let's talk to several candidates first -- some of whom may still be busy preparing for games.
  12. All this talk about the QB -- Losman/Bledsoe/Holcomb means squat. Fix the O-line and the QB situation will take care of itself.
  13. Ferguson is still my all-time favorite Bill!
  14. LOL! Had payment arrived, Walt Coleman would have been the referee tonight!
  15. No Walt Coleman to bail the Patsies out tonight! The mystique is over.
  16. Success does that. I recall Buffalo getting a lot of press during the Super Bowl years and I think non-Bills fans probably grew tired of it. Just the way it goes. But, yes, there are 31 other teams -- you'd think they could spread it around a bit.
  17. I'm sure that a seasoned coach will be brought in. Remember how Levy is with rookie players? They usually ride the bench for a season or two. Levy like experience and he'll probably want it in his HC, as well.
  18. He's essentially a rookie after having missed most of the season last year. I would expect some bad throws/decisions from him this year -- all season long. Remember how Eli Manning looked last year? Awful. This year is a different story. JP's progress this season alone is very positive. This, despite having virtually no protection and no help from the defense as was promised. Additionally, you have an entire organization that is in disarray with potentially major changes coming at season's end. Nevertheless, JP continues to show improvement. He just needs to play. If there's anyway he could have played a little hurt this weekend, I'd rather see that than Holcomb at this point. Hell, why not just let Matthews take the game -- he worked with the team for a couple of years now -- give the guy at least one start if you're gonna pull JP out. I think JP will eventually become a very solid quarterback. The only way he's going to learn is to play.
  19. The water boys -- they bring their A-game week-after-week -- dashing out onto the field during timeouts. Kicking game is decent. Losman -- expected rookie-type of mistakes from him, but he's beginning to prove himself at this level. Lee Evans.
  20. Very well said. Thanks for the reminder of what Marv Levy really was capable of. Too often it's said that he inherited a great team (myself included), buy when you think back to how he managed the personalities on this team, he is really amazing! I wouldn't mind if he had another go-round with the Bills.
  21. Maybe this partially explains the seeming inability of the Bills coaches to make half-time adjustments -- no one's listening!! Nice leadership Moulds.
  22. I don't know what Moulds' opinion of JP was before the season. I only stated that Moulds chose not to work with JP in the offseason. You can read anything you like into that, but the point I was attempting to make is that perhaps Moulds was not all that concerned with "winning now". If he was, then he would have (and should have) made a committment in the offseason to work as much as possible with his new QB, but he chose not to.
  23. Very well said! I'd also add that Moulds knew who the starting quarterback was going to be and he chose to not work with JP in the offseason. If Moulds was so concerned about winning this season, then maybe he should have considered getting to know his QB a little better, work out timing, etc. Moulds has definitely been a very good player for this team, but it's time to move on.
