  1. You use them if you don't want kids or your pets getting into the mouse traps genius. Try reading the post before responding.
  2. I've used those humane (no-kill) traps before and they work pretty well, esp. when you have cats or dogs or kids in the house and can't use sticky pads or spring traps. The drawbacks are that they are expensive and if you decide to release the mice rather than kill them, you should release them far from house, so they don't wander back in later.
  3. Be safe Nick. Our best wishes are with you and everyone in London.
  4. Locke's belief that Destiny played a hand in all of them being on THAT flight also supports your point,UCONN. I thought he told Jack that in the last episode. They all had some chance to avoid the flight but didn't or couldn't. Many of the backstories not only show the character and histories of the survivors but also how events in each of their lives conspired to force them onto that flight. The interesting thing though is all the mishaps that Hurley has to overcome in order to get on that flight. While Fate or Destiny seem to direct the other survivors to the plane, it seemed to be trying to prevent Hurley from getting on the plane. If the island is somehow responsible for bring those specific survivors to the island (as Locke's comments and behavior suggests he believes), does that mean that Hurley wasn't supposed to be there? If that is true, why? Does Hurley unknowing hold the key to the island's secret? Just curious what you guys think?
  5. She may be a little young (17) but I think Morgan Pressel is kinda cute. I was glad she did well yesterday. Too bad she didn't win. That shot by Birdy Kim was pretty sweet though.
  6. TD taught Stuart Scott to say that annoying "Boo-Ya" thing.
  7. I wondered about that myself. But the thing shows mobility. That first night it was at the edge of the beach. Then it was at the crash site. When it attacked Walt it was also outside the "dark territory". I guess it could be massive defense system with mechanical traps and sound effects planted everywhere on the island but that just doesn't feel right. But the thing that grabbed Locke in the finale was definately mechanical. The smoke and the polar bear seem very sophisticated while the trap that got Locke seemed to be no more than an a pressure strung rope trap on an gear drawn wheel. Maybe a combination of mechanical traps and biological "monster"? I don't know. God this show is great.
  8. I try to get to at least one game a year. My best year I made three games in one season. Last year I only got to training camp. I'm hoping to get to the KC or Denver game this year.
  9. Check out the stuff Blackmore did with Rainbow. "Gates of Babylon" on the Long Live Rock and Roll album is an amazing song and not just because of the technical virtuosity. If I though virtuosity was all important, I'd be screaming that Yngwie J. Malmesteen wasn't on the list.
  10. Jack White of the White Strips ahead of Richie Blackmore?!?!? Right.
  11. That's what make Jet fans the most knowledgable in the league. I love the guy with the Jabba the Hutt/Mike and the Mad Dog avatar.
  12. I hope Sheppard does better there then he did in Buffalo or Brooks' career is toast. Brooks is a little like RJ. Flashes of talent but way too inconsistant. Hopefully he doesn't end up like RJ.
  13. This line make me wonder... Last night I rewatched the scene with the "others". The old man's reaction to Michael telling them that they had survived an airplane crash was interesting. He said: "An airplane crash? Ya' don't say." I guess it's the way he said it... like an adult responding to a child's imaginary storyline. Like "Oh You just saw a purple dragon? You don't say. That's nice." I not totally sure what it might mean but I think it could be possible that the plane crash was an implanted or imagined memory. That might be why the numbers and other survivors keep showing up it the backstories of characters. Again my logic isn't 100% here but it just seems that the old man's reaction to the survivors on the raft and that tag line might mean that all has not been what it seems. Feel free to flame away.
  14. Good point. Also the american was old but the two men and Ethan (although also an american) seemed to be between 18-25. If that women was Alex, she would be 16. It's possible that the younger men were also "taken" (maybe from other wrecks or crashes) and indoctrinated by the old man into the "others" community. That might fit the pirate theory that someone mentioned before.
  15. I wondered if either Jin or Sawyer might have grabbed the side of the "others" boat while Michael was struggling with the men. I think that one of them may rescue Walt and help us learn more about the "others" next season.
  16. They had American accents. Not Austrailian or French. So I don't think that they were part of Danelle's research party.
  17. I think that movie was called the "Night Flyer". That's the one with Miguel Ferrer, right? The one where the vampire was killing people at an airport.
  18. JSP - Look at the shot of her approaching the bench that was shot from the side. I think her @$$ more than counterbalances the front. Serena Williams would be proud.
  19. Darrin McGavin was a gum shoe reporter who worked for rag paper in Chicago. He would always get mixed up in cases where there was some supernatural event or cause. Vampires, Golums, homicidal robots, you name it, he found it and fought it. It's great fun. It came out in the late seventies and there was nothing like it on TV (I think it came out after the original Salem's Lot with David Soul). It had moments where it was (to a 9 year old anyway) kinda' frightening. Of course now it seems kinda silly. They still show it on TRIO network as part of the "Brillant but Cancelled" series.
  20. I see that ABC is remaking the Night Stalker. I have mixed feelings about it. The old one is great because its so campy. I'm don't that that would play now and if they make it too serious it may come off as an X-Files ripoff. All that said, I will be looking forward to the pilot.
