  1. Did anyone see the "secret scene" on GMA this morning? Was there anything to it? Or was it just fluff?
  2. It looked like the trees were blown out of the ground. Maybe some high compressed air system that's part of the security system.
  3. I thought this was a great season finale. A few thoughts (for what they are worth): 1) I think the black vapor that seems to move like a snake through the air is the natural state of the "Monster". 2) I don't think it was the monster that grabbed Locke and pulled him into the hole. I think that he tripped some kind of trap as he was running away from the thing. (In slow motion you can see a large rope knot in the thing pulling Locke.) 3) I think that hatch is some kind of nuclear emergency shelter and that large provisions of food and fuel must be stored in it. That might explain why it would need a security system. I think that the "others" must have a way to access the fuel at least so they can keep the boat running and make Molotov Cocktails. 4) I think that the black smoke fire is a way for the others to locate their base when they leave it. Perhaps its another enterence to the place that the hatch leads to. If this is true, that might mean that there are only 4 "others". 5) I think that Danielle spied on they, heard that they were going to take "the boy" and thought from her previous encounter with Claire that Aaron (Thank God the baby finally has a name - turnip head was starting to get old) was the boy they were talking about. So she thought she would steal Aaron and make the deal for Alex.
  4. That's only if the IOC actually grants New York the Olympics. They've already said that if the new stadium isn't built New York won't get it but not that they will get it if they do. If the IOC wasn't so notoriously corrupt, I might think it would be a good idea. So if NY builds the stadium and then another city pays a bigger bribe to the IOC and they award that city the 2012 games... boom... the NY taxpayers take the shaft once again. If the Jets want a stadium, they should build it in Queens or Brooklyn. I'd even support a $100M in state money to help build one on the island (one Super Bowl would pay that back), but the west side of Manhattan is just too expensive (and you couldn't tailgate there)
  5. Good luck Campy. You're going to beat this thing.
  6. Worst 5: 1) Bud 2) Troegs 3) Naregansett 4) Genesee Cream Ale 5) Meister Brau
  7. TD made me late for work today.
  8. Nothing personal BillsFans but I hope you're wrong. Shaud did a nice job last year and I'd like to see him get a shot at backing up Willis or maybe as a situational 3rd down back. I realize its probably a luxury to take up a roster spot for him, esp. if you're right and the Bills get Green.
  9. Did you cut Shaud Williams? Or put him on the practice squad?
  10. Middle Ages in Syracuse makes a beer called Wailing Wench that is awesome. Right now it's only availbale in 22oz bottles. Hopefully, they will make it for six packs.
  11. Sorry about your loss Bart. My girlfriend's great-aunt has two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and they are great dogs. I'm sure Wendell was too.
  12. Ronnie's Michigans just outside of Plattsburgh. (For those who haven't had one - A michigan is a hot dog with a slightly spicy meat sauce.)
  13. TD is preventing me from coming up with a witty reply for this thread... damn him.
  14. I'm not sure too many teams would agree with you. I think most folks remember Gino Torretta also won the Heisman and today he probably pumping gas in Pierre.
  15. Hey Mead - Where is this bar? Might be worth dropping by some night.

  17. Happy Birthday Marc.
  18. I usually watch it but this year I'm going to the TAPS microbrew festival in Hunter. Hopefully they will have a TV on in the lodge lounge so I can check in from time to time.
  19. ... on opening weekend. I tried to look it up but couldn't figure it out.
  20. Buckeye, Was that the Throwback Weekend game in (9/26) 1994? I was at that game... my first in Rich Stadium. I though we won that game though.
  21. My first game was Nov. 24, 1991. It was a loss at Foxboro, 13-16. It poured most of the game. The Pats fans literally started ripping up seats in a section nearby in the fourth quarter. Thankfully I was seated near a bus load of Bills fans. Safety in numbers. That day I swore I would never see another game at Foxboro.
  22. I watched last night with captioning on... the voice on the radio said that "...no one survived Oceanic Flight 815". Not that they had accounted for all the survivors or were unable to located the flight. SO are they dead? Or is it a trick by the "others" that Danielle warned Sayid about?
  23. Yeah... but even he'd have to admit that its funny.
