  1. tackle was made with 20 seconds left in the first half ... take the TO and take 2 or 3 shots at the endzone
  2. I saw him lined up outside of Schobel a few times as ROLB
  3. yeah ... remind me of how that turned out for them? You don't let anyone score ...
  4. you never let the other team score ... that may work in college football ... I think we'll all be happier if that is what you watch
  5. nope, the Colts won the year after Shula left
  6. Kilgore named the source on the 5:00 news as Jim Kelly
  7. Kilgore just said on Channel 2 that Kelly is on record saying that Brandon has convinced Ralph to go with a real football man to head up the reorganization of the team ... does that sound like a real GM?
  8. The KGun fit on a postage stamp ... otherwise Jim Kelly's brain couldn't have memorized and still had room to process the calls at the line ... The number of plays is not in direct proportion to the success of the offense.
  9. Dombrowski is the last that I remember ... was he drafted in '84? EDIT: I checked ... it was '86
  10. There are plenty of other times to come down hard on TO ... yes, he should have (in our limited understanding of what it takes to be a WR in the NFL) come down with the ball ... but on the other hand ... it's tough to do that with the DB getting an arm bar across before the pass even arrives. It would have taken extreme strength in the fingers & great timing to do so. TO's done it before, but it's anything but a sure catch by ANY receiver.
  11. Very funny ... I had billed the game as a win/win situation ... either the Bills win a fun game, or we get to tell our future generations that we attended Jauron's last game as coach ... Unfortunately, I think we ended up in a lose/lose scenario. The Bills lost a terrible game and the coach will be staying ...
  12. so I'm part of the problem because I took my church youth group to the game with 37 tickets that were donated to the church ... we didn't even pay for the parking ... I'd give you a broader brush to paint with, but it doesn't exist
  13. yeah ... how did the "let them score fast" work for the Packers against Broncos in Super Bowl XXXII? and that was a game when both teams were moving the ball ... When you let another team score, you have joined Jauron and his game management.
  14. My first thought on the INT was that it was almost exactly the same as the preseason INT against the Titans on the first possession ... similar pattern, same placement of the throw ... thoughts?
  15. It's all good, ... I took Brady in the 2nd round (18 team league) with the statement that I was hoping that I was cursing my own team and I would need a backup.
  16. Very true, but AVP will call the three plays immediately before ... and they won't be three straight HB Dives to set up said FG ... that is the difference
  17. Talking with Mark Kelso yesterday ... he said that there is a HUGE difference between the two. The motivation on defense in the 90s was that if they did a clean 3 & out, they got the rest of the night off. He said that apart from the OLine taking time to gel, there is no reason for starters to be playing the whole first half and into the 3rd quarter. He didn't give me any company line about how it's just preseason. He seemed as concerned as I am.
  18. Doesn't help us at all since the first half of the season starts at 4:15 or later ...
  19. He also had a safety (Whitner?) hit him in the back as he made contact with White ... I would think that would help, but I noticed he just didn't wrap up on White like he should have, maybe Whitner hitting him kept Poz from wrapping up? Just a thought
  20. We have 'em in OP, in the more rural parts of the southtowns.
  21. I love the commentator repeatedly talking about how Kelly was making tactical errors, and taking too much time at the line, just throw an incomplete ... Kelly was in control ... this game, that play was where a lot of the 90s began.
  22. I've only watched some of the clips, but what is already amazing me is how many of the TDs are from the 5-15 yard line. I think that is what we are missing the most, being able to get it in from there when the defense gets really tight.
  23. i know it's feeding the troll but ... where does it say "These guys aren't even getting starting reps" It says they're being rotated in a "good portion of the time" -- sounds very positive to me they will be starters on opening day
