  1. I think if Beane does a 2-for-1 it'd be something like #141 + #163 to go to the #118 range
  2. It's fine. The top-3 WR are set for the Bills. They can add an upside guy to develop anytime today.
  3. Klaus from Sprockets announces the Detroit pick, Ja'Tavion Sanders. Yeah, he was sticking out on the board.
  4. 5'8 1/2" 191lb 4.47 40-yard with 1.57 10-yard split Not imposing in either size speed or spool up.

  6. Bills really only have DQ for 1T. They need another, Carter isn't that guy.

  8. That ceiling... is this a house in Lancaster?
  9. Samuel is absolutely a guy who can take the top off. The Bills needed a guy to win on the boundary and I'm not convinced Coleman is it but the Bills seem to view him more favorably because Process and letting Eiche... I mean Allen, be the GM. A safety drafted in the 2nd needs to perform like a CB drafted in the 1st (not Elam) to be considered a good value. I like the player. Similarly for Carter, feels like the Bills are overvaluing the locker room over the actual skills. If the Bills had taken the AZ trade down they did to go to 35 (for 43 and 79) and gotten Coleman, took Suamataia or Rosengarten at 60, then Bishop at 79 and Carter, the day could be considered a raging success. As it stands I think Beane locked in on his guys and did only a mediocre job fitting need to value. Elsewhere I was impressed with the way everyone Philly needed fell right to them. The Comanches did a nice job mining value. Baltimore was quietly efficient as usual and I liked the Steelers drafting an entire OL it seemed and great value with Roman Wilson. It was odd watching the Raiders make not a single WTF?-pick. Atlanta with Penix and Rube Ohohohohohoho on a trade up?? Thought Tampa had the most equivalent Day 2 to the Bills in the sense of the picks could all be greeted with a "yeah, but..." For Beane who spoke on and on about a need to get more explosive, he drafted some Shriner cars instead of top fuel machines.
  10. McCaffrey or McMillan. Franklin, Tez, Baker and Rice were and still are options who'll come off the board in the 4th, probably before 128. I liked McCaffrey for X, he's still on the ascent being a recent position switch and just looks the part, his highlights reminded me of McConkey or maybe McLaurin (comparing Mcs to Mcs). After that, guys in the 5th onward who might still be in play to round out the receiver group as a dedicated X are Thrash, Flournoy, J Wilson, C Johnson, Means, maybe Coker. Clearly the Bills just didn't have Mitchell on their board. I don't know that Coleman is a legit X, if he's Puka Nacua then he's a big slot on a team already with a top-2 best suited to slot/Z and a tight end often deployed that way. That's my concern. Who in the current group threatens the boundary, Shorter?
  11. Hoping like hell you're right. I was extremely wrong about Bernard, I had him as Kelvin Sheppard II except without the size. And what's more his first year validated me, a step too slow, a size too small, every time. Year 2, he goes off. I didn't see it coming. After so many spins around the sun I know there's vastly more things I don't know than things I know, but the things I know are still a burr in the saddle.
  12. 1) Booker at 95, or Hunt after small trade up from 95. Young guys to develop into that top-end while insulated in a rotational scheme. B) Then you take Rakestraw at 60 instead of Bishop since it's a premium position and look for Hicks or Mustapha or Taylor-Demerson or Hampton or {insert here} R4. Or maybe Bishop is still there lol. iii) Still think Anderson will play C with McFreeagent at LG. It'll be the Bills best 5. Beane had the chance to fill exactly the holes you pointed out, and did not. That DT is a process-reach and i think that should be a term going forward.
  13. And sometimes you don't: McCaffrey was my crush for 128, and what just sent me over the edge tonight was seeing him go at 100 after a pick I just hated. I see him as someone who can win at all levels, inside or outside, speed and shift and physicality and he goes to effing Harblaugh and the Stupor Chargers 5 picks after Beane takes Captain Intangibles with a premium Day 2 pick.
  14. I want to believe that but ultimately you can't just yell "process!" at your opponent and win, you have to kick their ass and defeat them. I want the Bills drafting guys who do that - within the framework of an 11-man rolling ball of anarchy. When guys like that go to the enemy while the football equivalent of [political analogy redacted] get drafted to my fanatically supported team, I'm gonna rage.
  15. We're mutants on a ***** NFL message board at midnight on a Friday night in April. Who lives this ***** more than us?
  16. There's still Mustapha, Taylor-Demerson, Oladapo et al. I want Beane to be right on Bishop, of course. That everyone else flames out and he's the only stud. It's just still, on draft day, taking a S or LB or RB in the middle of round 2 is like taking a T or EDGE or WR in the middle of round 1. You damn well better be getting a star, a difference maker, and then it's justified.
  17. Cribbing from the other thread: I'm not gonna be reasonable anymore. For a guy who talks about getting more explosive Beane gets: - a plodding big slot WR - an overdraft at a devalued position - a no-traits defensive lineman to backup your best D player That looks like a fail for an in-window reset. Minimal upside, and a failure to add the very thing you talked about adding to the roster - explosiveness. This isn't about Franklin, this is about traits and value positions. I wouldn't have drafted anyone Beane did in the places he drafted them. Hopefully the fact that he gets paid millions of dollars to do this ***** means he'll be more correct, but I. Just. Hate. This. Day 2.
  18. Jaden Hicks still on the board makes me wonder how much of a reach this was.
