Depends on where you grew up. I grew up in Rochester and youth lacrosse is much more popular than soccer and as popular (if not more) than baseball. The same can probably be said for L.I and Maryland. It is also getting very big in California.

Growing up, summer rec league soccer was the sport that most kids played because they weren't good at any other mainstream sports (football, baseball, basketball, and lacrosse)

When Hockey was on ESPN prior to the lockout, unfortunately, the Cup Playoffs were outdrawn by the PBA tour. I think that the new NHL is much more exciting and given enough exposure it could make a comeback in the ratings.

We bust the umpires chops, but nothing seriousm, mainly just joking around. We have had the same umps in our league for a few years so they all know us pretty well. I can't stand "Softball Guy". The losers that have nothing going for them in life but softball and take it way to seriously. Keep your head up Richmond

people upstate feels that all of their tax dollars flow downstate. Could it be that New York State is just run poorly by corrupt politicians (both Dem and Rep) that do nothing but serve special interest and that in actuality all of our money flows to Albany and down the toilet?

I don't understand the running clock and adding back "stoppage time". Why not just have the clock stop so you don't need to add "stoppage time".

When times get tough, private industry tightens the belts and decreases spending, with many employees going without raises for several years at a time, yet working longer hours. Yet these scumbags that sit on there @sses and work for the State are gauranteed a raise every year, regardless of how fuggin worthless that they really are. It makes me sick.

I never want to see the USA lose at anything, be it Ping Pong or Soccer. On a side note did you see that 7 footer for the Czechs. He got carried off on a stretcher with a hamstring injury. Are you fuggin kidding me??? What a huge PU$$Y. To make a generalization, all soccer players are PU$$IES. The only time you see a stretcher in football is when a guy breaks a leg or has a neck injury. They bring that stretcher out three times a game for these fairys that play soccer.
