  1. Where but in a America can a Pro Football player, namely Bobby Shaw, play awful and play awful for an 0-4 team and then get rewarded by being cut. I'm sure he's laughing all the way to his next team... probably a playoff team A great country I tell you.
  2. That's a possibility... but if your serious about going into this field and wqorking your way up, it's not a bad idea learning from the ground up. Even if you did start out as a teller, with a college degree you would probably move up very quickly.
  3. A loss to Miami would certainly do it. Folks... we may be on the cusp of going back to the terrible old days of the two man wave.
  4. If your interest is in finance/investment... why not look at the local banks? The pay might not be great to start, but at least you have your foot in the door and have opportunities to advance... mortgage loan officer, branch manager, etc. Once you gain some expereince you might be able to narrow down what you specifically have a desire and skill for and move in that direction
  5. Henry's got continual ankle problems and the rib thingy... plus every team in the league is puting 8 in the box or cheating up on every down to blitz Bledsoe. Henry has no place to go and Bledsoe can't make anyone pay for cheating up or blitzing. Henry is more quick than fast, so he has a hard time turning the corner. Willis is more fast than quick and has an easier time turning the corner. Euhus? who knows for sure how bad the TEs are... remember, we don't have a QB that can get them the ball. Denney/Kelsay... neither one impresses me... I vote that neither start and they bring in a real DE... and ditto for the RDE spot. Evans vs. Reed? Reed's luck to be the number 5 receiver. No controversy here.
  6. lmao But no ban on using White house interns as ash trays?
  7. that may be, but Donahoe had the 4th pick three years ago and blew it. He really can't be trusted with a pick that high. Besides... having that #1 pick can be a real headache sometimes. Dallas would want to trade out of that spot is my guess... who would they take, Kyle Ortin? NOT! otherwise, they've got two pricey QBs and only one can play.
  8. so what? what have the 5 "name players" done for us lately? Bledsoe? nuff said. Vincent? Nuff said. Milloy? Nuff said. Spikes?.... didn't he miss a tackle when his guy caught a pass in the middle of the field on the game winning drive? Fletcher? two steps forward and 2 personal foul penalties backward. We don't need "name" players. We need "playmakers"
  9. John, this "crusade" belittling Drew's talent (or lack thereof) must stop. "Nervous Guy" is getting more nercous and is going to slam the door shut on you.
  10. good point. I'm going to say 3... and only because the Dolphins kicker is better than the Bills kicker.
  11. Sorry to burst your bubble, but this defenses is slightly better than average. It's given up game winning scores in 3 of the 4 losses and even if the Bills had tied New England, my money would have been on Brady leading the Pats to a game winning drive. This defense aint gonna scare anyone. It may be better than average against the run, but there is no consistent pass rush to speak of from the defensive line. This defense has to manufacture sacks if it's gonna get them.... a blitzing LB here, a corner blitz there and a sfety blitz there. The corners are average and Clements gets burned more than McDonald's fry cook.
  12. dude... we're 0-4!!!! I got news for you, Bledsoe and Henry are not our saviors. So, at 0-4, why the hell would any Bills fan in the right mind think that plugging losman and McGahee into the starting lineup in a few weeks would make this team any worse? 0-4 is 0-4.... it doesn't matter if you lose by 2 points or 20 points and L is and L is an L. Lastly... how the hell do you know whether Losman and McGahee are saviors or not. No one knows for sure til they play... I know one thing, a lot of people in Pittsburg are using the "s" word with a 3-0 rookie QB named Rothlisberger.
  13. From now on... one play at a time. All three phases of the game. Don't look at the scoreboard, just worry about your own assigment and trust that everyone else is going to do the same. I'd take inventory after each game and replace players that continually blow assignments or at least I would not put those players in the situations in which they continually screw up. I'd sub in a player that has proven he can carry out his assignment in a given situation.
  14. CAn we move an RB for a number 1 now? You tell me. What team would give up their 1st rounder for Travis or Willis. Name just one team that would be that stupid. Travis would garner a number 2 at best, and right now if McGahhe were put on the block, I don't see how any team would give their number 1 straight up... there would have to be conditions...something Donahoe would likely not agree to.
  15. First of all, if Donahoe is doing what he’s supposed to be doing, then the Bills should have talent. Right? Well, if Donahoe believes we have talent then, why are the Bills 0-4? One of two things, or both, has happened here. Either the Bills lack talent or Donahoe whiffed again on hiring a coach… or as I said, both. So, let’s do some bench marking. Let’s compare the 0-4 Bills to the 4-1 Giants. After a dismal season, the Giants (like the Bills) canned their head coach. Unlike the Bills, the Giants decided to go with a tried and true experienced Head Coach, albeit a prick of a guy. On the other hand, Donahoe, after 3 years of rebuilding and re-tooling the team with a rookie head coach at the controls, decided that this team was ready for prime time and in his infinite wisdom decided that any schlep can coach the talent he’ provided. So, after 3 years of re-tooling, he decides to go with another career assistant coach that would have been fired anyway had he not been offered the job. Conventional wisdom would be thinking that you’ve got a lot of young and new players, so to meld this altogether the best thing would be to bring in an HC with some experience… not a rookie… unless he was at least a HC at the college level with some assistant experience in the NFL (ie. Kirk Ferenz, Ralph Friedgen). Well, the Giants may have even less talent than the Bills… or best case scenario is that they’re even. The difference then must be at the Head Coaching level. How else can you explain it? Parcells takes a bad team and instantly makes it a good one. Now, Coughlin takes a miserable team and is now in a serious dog fight for supremacy in their division. The problem seems to be with Donahoe. Never in his life has he ever hired a former Head coach. Why? Well, basically Donahoe is a prima dona. He didn’t like playing 2nd fiddle to Chuck Noll in Pittsburg so he hired a schmuck like Cowher tto take over when Noll retired. The only problem… Cowher had a mind of his own and challenged Donahoe. Eventually, in Pittsburg, that got Donahoe exposed, and eventually canned. But everyone bit on, myself included, on the “Donahoe-Modrak Myth”. Now it’s clear that this tandem was a creation of the media. The only question now is does Ralph really care anymore. The reality is that he’s in the twilight of his life, owning a team that has a continually shrinking market. Maybe his agenda is to just ride this out and set the team up so that it is prepared for “market” when he eventually passes. If that’s his agenda, then he’s picked the right guy in Donahoe. He’s got a manageable salary cap, a new potential nucleus (Losman, McGahee, Evans), a sweet lease deal with an esxcape clause, NFL leadership that will bank roll a sale and move to LA as well as a possible move to Toronto, and a team that has no place to go but up. If I’m an entrepreneur with eyes on an NFL franchise, I’m salivating if I look at the Bills. If Donald Trump had eyes for an NFL franchise, he’d get a good deal by buying the Bills and then moving it to a venue where he can reap the benefits of a new stadium filled with 75% luxury suites and all the other seats with PSL revenue. I’ll tell you, as a fan though, I’m not getting a good smell from this whole situation. This Bills team rivals some of the worst Bills teams ever… ala 68-72, and 83-86. So, I think now we really need to get a feel for where Ralph is at with this team and it’s performance. He’s not been visable as of late, which is a little unusual given the team’s performance. We may find out what he’s thinking after next week’s game against the Dolphins… especially if the Bills lose.
  16. ?????? Oh, I almost overlooked the fact that the Bills are 0-4. Yep, no reason that anyone should piss and moan.
  17. I imagine he will speak after the team has won a game. Right now, I don't think he wants to appear in public with his red face after Ralph gave him a good ass chewing.
  18. relax...relax...I see this all the time cuz, ashamedely, I live here. This was a charity event that they do many times. It's basically like a dance marathon, only this is a see-saw marathon.
  19. How dare you? This is a "CRUSADE". You cannot post such disparaging comments regarding "Bledsoe". I'll have you know that right now you are making a certain "Nervous Guy", well, "nervous".
  20. Well, tomorrow the Jets will be 4-0 and still haven't beaten anyone!
  21. Now, Now. Let's not continue to make disparaging comments about the Bills performance (or lack thereof). many posters below, if you care to read, drew inner strength and tranquility from the Bills performance Sunday. They accentuate the positives. Just look at the positives from Sunday's game... they actually made a few first downs too.
  22. Allow me to suggest that you pass on watching the last 2 quarters... er, uh... at least the last quarter. I don't want to spoil it for you, but it doesn't have a happy ending. Unfortunately, for us Bills fans, the game lasts 4 quarters and not 2. Wouldn't that be interesting if the Bills could play a full 60 minutes?
  23. Please allow me to suggest the GM's suite. The view is excellent... actually enhanced. Rose colored glasses are handed ot as you enter the suite. And if you promise Teflon Tom some help with divine intervention, I'll bet that he'll hand you a locker room pass or two.
  24. I can just visulize twhat it might have been like to be in that meeting. I'd like to know what you folks think, but I gotta believe it went something like this... Bledsoe: Josh, you gotta get open more. Josh: I am... you just don't throw it to me. Bledsoe: Eric, no more dropsies. Eric: Bite me Drew, I'll stop dropping footballs when you stop taking stupid sacks and making bonehead mistakes in the redzone. Bledsoe: And you, Travis, you gotta start keeping those damn blizting LBs off me. Travis: Yeah, right... the best thing you can do to keep LBs off you is hand me the ball... I'll make the plays. Screw passing! Bledsoe: You too Damien, you got to block for me better and get open. Damien: Duh, what the hell was that I did against Jax? There was no one within 15 yards of me and everyone in the house saw me open except for you. WTF? Bledsoe: Ok guys, we gotta stop bickering here, we're not gonn awin games that way. JP, go get me another Pepsi. JP: Sure Drew. He's right guys, we gotta stop this bickering and making silly mistakes. (wink-wink), cuz if you don't, everyone is going to start to point fingers at Drew, and we don't want that fellas, do we? Coach will end up having to yank him in favor of me... and we know the success rate of rookie QBs with great mobility, rocket arms, quick releases, and excellent ball handling skills are in short supply. So, if I have to come in in play, the pressure is really going to be on you to see that I don't get hurt again.
  25. John, Glad that you have had an epiphany and agree to what you didn't agree with last week regardsing Losman. That's OK... you are allowed to flip - flop because you're not running for president. I welcome you to the dump Drew club.
