I agree... we still need a large 1T and I think Jones is pretty washed... also, if you trade for Garrett, you may be looking at parting with a DL like Rousseau or Oliver in the package... we have a lot of needs to improve the D. I posted on another thread... I get the need to get over the hump... but I look at it like this... you can also roll down the hill into the abyss too... (See Polian firing)... you then rely on Pegula to make the next Brilliant hire that improves upon these two... (I think they are a package) my money is on letting them evolve and not letting Terry go find an upgrade.... bottom line though, we need to get better in the FO, drafting and coaching... not sure Pegula hiring a new GM to pick a new coach gets us there...

As someone who lived thru the 90s... with Polian, Butler, Levy and Marchibroda... etc... I am hesitant to say move on or gut it... only because I see what can happen if you get it wrong... Butler manned the ship fairly well for a bit until he moved on... and then we went into the abyss.. I am not saying I am satisfied being the bridesmaid, what I am saying is does changing the entire make up of the coaching and FO make you better... I think there is always that possibility... for sure... sometimes it works.. But see... there is this thing... Pegula... he has shown time and again with both of his teams... he isnt likely to get it right... so do I want to blow it up and trust him to pick the right folks... Not so sure I want to sign up for that... I think ultimately I would pin my hope on Beane and McD seeing the light and evolving over Pegula making the right hire...

I am not sure why I dont think this is exciting... maybe I wonder if its a locker room thing... like are we getting another Diva like Diggs here... or honestly I may just be mis remembering this guys persona... that said... you cant teach that kind of speed... if the dude has a fairly decent route tree and can stretch the field.. that is kina what you are looking for... like is he a true #1

I am going to probably get killed for this... but wondering what folks think... Tre White... depth corner... 30 years old.. signed to a team friendly 1 yr deal... maybe with an option... 1.5mm take the chance that he has recovered after a full year... and bring him in on the cheap as a depth piece... I would say maybe work him into a safety position but he is too small and not a great tackler... so he would need to be a nickle/Dime guy, or a depth CB... thoughts...

I do like they are bringing in new sets of eyes... the game has changed and we have not changed with it, nor have we acquired players that standout especially on Defense in the draft.
-
Their penetration from the DL allowed them to press man... eliminate the quick throw and derail the run game... the fact of the matter is it was consistent pressure coming from the entire DL especially up the middle... WR breaking off routes kept DBs shallow and helped eliminate Mahomes from big runs.. it all starts there... didnt hurt that they have a really good secondary and Cooper DeJean is a really good safety... bottom line is the Bills couldnt play that game.. because we got no where with a 4 man rush... he still has time and can beat you all over the field with us having a C minus secondary... A game wrecker is what we need and a monster 1T...

Honestly, if we are playing into the "Conspiracy" theory... and its true.. I think the NFL could care less who won that game... they just wanted Tay Tay at the game for ratings... after that it didnt matter... plus the heat over the year I think they played it close... that is IF you believe in the conspiracy theory. Pretty sure I dont but there was some really questionable stuff that went on that I cant explain as random bad calls... maybe there was an unconscious bias... But in the end the officiating would not have changed that game one way or the other it was a beat down... the Bills game... correct calls wouldnt have hurt... but in the end, we need to be better... too much blame to not look in the mirror... conspiracy or not...

Anyone on the Bills you think could be traded?
JP51 replied to KentuckyBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Oh I really dont see it happening unless it is like a Rousseau or someone to get cap down... there are players who could be pieces for folks for a day 3 pick maybe... but not many. -
Honestly at this point please get the best player available.. I feel like we have reached for need and come up consistently short.

Vegas Baby was at the Minneapolis one against the skins... way too cold...

The Chiefs are now 1-3 in the playoffs after beating the Bills
JP51 replied to ShakAttack's topic in The Stadium Wall
Nope lol we beat the Chiefs twice in the Playoffs in the 90s one Divisional, one AFCC ... won one after Divisional to go to the Bowl and lost, then lost in the bowl.. so 1-2 .. although you are 90s Bills so I suspect you are just busting chops and you already knew this LOL... 🤣 -
The Worthy Trade Keeps Looking Worse and Worse
JP51 replied to Bills Costa Rica's topic in The Stadium Wall
Didnt say it did.. I am saying Coleman pre injury ran a more complete route tree than Worthy and that they were more willing to put him into traffic... that they shyed away from doing that to Worthy because of his size... ironically it was Coleman that got hurt and after the injury he was derailed and pretty much useless.. either he wouldnt or they wouldnt send him in to traffic to make plays after the injury and he was was simply not good... the Bills themselves agreed FWIW... Funny thing is I do not in any way disagree with your premises... I do not think he is ever going to create speed separation, he is going to need to become more effective at route running... clearly gonna need to become more of a professional... the fade I like in his game but as you are saying certainly isnt a steady diet type of play.. My suspicion is that he will be much much closer to James Hardy than to Andre Reed or Moulds.... to use two polar examples... but the bottom line to me is that this is year 1... I am not ready to condemn or declare a winner in any trade after year 1... you may be... thats fine... I would prefer to see year 2 and maybe 3... -
I could see this as a legit landing spot... as the Steelers try to push out the inevitable drafting of a new QB... might work, but this is the most toxic I can ever remember seeing the Steelers... I am not sure the addition of Rodgers is going help that situation... I would absolutely not be shocked to see Darnold back if they can convince him... Kinda hoping this is the scenario and they reach for a QB like Sanders, who I dont feel is going to be great... this would set them back pretty good if he flopped... I do think unless they bring back a Darnold or a Cousins... (if he is available) that Tyrod is going to figure in somewhere... the other one I can think of is them taking a flyer on Justin Fields...

I would say Rousseau, Oliver, Milano, Knox, Kincaid, Rapp, Anderson, Miller and Jones are all tradeable depending on whom is looking for what... Clearly to me Jones and Miller are too old really to bring in much, Anderson someone could be looking at like they did a Wyatt Teller saying I think this kid can play... Rapp someone might look at for a depth piece ... Oliver's contract and production dont match, but I could see someone who sees him better in their scheme... Rousseau and Kincaid would be the real "Chips" per se... but I dont think anyone is giving us a 1 or a 2 for those guys.. -
Bills expected to hire CB coach Pellegrino from Patriots
JP51 replied to Dablitzkrieg's topic in The Stadium Wall
I really dont know anything about this guys... but it is encouraging to see them doing something to address that problem that was our defense all year.... successful? We will find out but at least they are not running it back... -
The Worthy Trade Keeps Looking Worse and Worse
JP51 replied to Bills Costa Rica's topic in The Stadium Wall
Dont disagree 0 looked closer to an every down receiver than 1 injury derailed... ironic part is we thought it was Worthy that was gonna get beat down.. but they do take great care not to put him in that situation. -
Matthew Smiley out as Special Teams coach

Not a fan... we should be able to do better... -
The Worthy Trade Keeps Looking Worse and Worse
JP51 replied to Bills Costa Rica's topic in The Stadium Wall
Still not convinced Worthy is a special player and will turn out to be more of a weapon than Coleman... Although if year 1 was round 1... Worthy won the round... in the end.. I just want Beane to stop trading with KC ... especially draft picks.. helping them get what they want to improve their team.. even if its not what we are looking for doesnt seem to make sense to me.... -

Full List of Bills' Current Selections in 2025 NFL Draft

I think that is exactly what happened... I know we are being mentioned for a 3 or 4 comp pick, but I do not believe we have a 3 this year. -

Hard to beat the Chiefs and the refs every post-season
JP51 replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall
I am so torn here literally, what you say is 100% truth... we had the opportunity to win the game... we didnt. We are woefully deficient on Defense... it needs to improve... our defensive scheme seems old and stale and not matching our personnel... it needs to be looked at... I am glad that the team is not just blaming the officiating and looking inward.. That said... obvious calls that went against us that if they were called correctly impacted the game... we still could and maybe should have over come... but they were still a significant impact on this game and impacted the over all outcome... that doesnt mean KC doesnt pull another 13 seconds or play the game differently etc... but things in the game would have changed and we will never know how it would have played out... I hate this... for us and the sport... especially when it is right there on replay to see... In the end... look at your own self in the mirror.. control what you can control and win next time... regardless of the officials.
