  1. I posted on another topic about our elements in Orchard Park and the fact that many quality Free Agents have taken less money to play in a warmer city, or a team with a dome. I have spoken to several NFL players in years past, as well as recently and they have all said the same thing... "Not unless they pay me considerably more than anyone else". I can list the reasons that they have all said made them consider playing elsewhere, and this includes many of our former players. This made me wonder if it was possible to extend the canopy to cover more of the stands and partially the field? From what I remember, the original renderings showed that Toilet Bowl look, where the entire stands where covered as well as part of the field. Couple that with some kind of wind blocking technology that was supposed to keep the wind off of the field, but the newest renderings show that only about 60% of the stands are covered, leaving the snow shoveling to continue, as well as snow and wind gusts.
  2. People must realize something about playing in the frigid temps and winds and snow that Orchard Park offers. These players careers are cut short playing in these types of elements, not to mention many do not want to play in temperatures that OP offers. If you have ever had an injury (significant one) you would understand how much harder it is to heal in the cold than it is in warmer temps. Add that on top of also living in the cold during the season. This is why building a dome was so crucial! Look at all of the city's that have similar temps... Cleveland (building a dome), Minny, Detroit, etc... They know that in order to attract players and fans alike, the new age is to have a dome where the elements and temps are controlled. I know for a fact that there have been many quality, game changing free agents that refused to come play for us, nit because of the city of Buffalo and the untrue statements about it being boring, but the #1 reason was they were not willing to risk their careers playing in our elements. Just look up several years ago, Hyde said that he recruited top flight FA's only for them to say "Naw, too cold up there".
  3. I like the coach as far as a person and what he was able to accomplish with the team for several years, but I can see that he will not take us to the next level. I know for certain that some of his past and present Vets know it too. They are just between a rock and a hard place because they like him so much, but many know his style of defense will not get it done when it matters most. We are wasting many of our good players prime years, most importantly JOSH's.
  4. I don't want any team that can embarrass us in our own stadium, coming in as a super wildcard team. The team that i know can do that is Cincy, followed by Miami. If Cincy comes to town, i personally believe would be Mcdermott's last game as our head coach. He has no answers for offenses that are potent, which is why I do not feel we make it very far with his defense this year.
