Dinucci was awful in Dallas a few years ago but that doesn't matter. Just need him to take snaps in practice and play the third preseason game.

Joe Marino of Locked On’s ‘All-22’ film review…

i haven't watched it but is the original post implying that he doesn't thing Carter is making the roster? That has to be a mistake right? -
Predict what positional groups are better/worse in 2024?
MikePJ76 replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
The group I am most worried about is the defensive line. It feels really thin and only about average at best when everyone is healthy. Jones being hurt already is a bad sign. I really hope they go look for some help at end when the cuts happen. i am high on carter but that is a gradual growth to being an outstanding player imo. I just hope for this year he stays healthy all the way through the season and plays the run really well. -
He has struggled through the whole camp though. Dallas was set to make him the backup and now they are in a weird spot where they are going to have to probably use a roster spot for the 3rd qb. especially since Dak has had an ankle issue twice already this summer.

Bears @ Bills - Preseason Game 1 - SAT 08/10 - 1 PM

It will probably depend on the quality of the joint practices with the steelers this week. If it is aggressive and the team is really into it I imagine its a 1 series weekend for the starters again. Personally I don't want to see Allen on the field anymore this summer. -
all of his throws were really high. He looks like he has no touch. Its like he is better suited as a gadget player or something. you are right though he hasn't played in a while. To be fair also he didn't play long with the starting offensive line but the rams also looked to be standing still on defense all night. I think the rams care less about the preseason almost as much as Dungy's colts did.

actually the better front office people admit mistakes early and move on so they don't fall further behind. The league is filled with front offices who hung onto players way too long at the detriment of the organization because of the cost it took to get them. This is why the better front offices are on the aggressive side, if you see a talent in the draft you want...you go get that player and if you have a player that is someone's pet cat and they cost a lot in resources to acquire but it is obvious they can't play you move on asap.

The Bills looked pretty good on defense considering the guys who didn't play. Did you watch the chiefs? They had one drive with their starters and got stopped on 3rd and 2 and kicked a field goal. That is essentially what the bills did on their second drive. I am sorry did you say the chiefs were clean and disciplined? they were awful on kickoffs and got pushed up and down the field on defense. The bills second unit played the bears starting offense and gave up 6 points in the first half. I stand by what I said. The fact that the chiefs got an important wr injured was not good for them either. He will be on the street free to sign very soon. I don't think he ever starts for a team again. I was on board with Buffalo trading a conditional 7th rounder for him last summer just in case he was talented enough to be a starter and you could then flip him for a 2 or something....Dallas gave up a fourth and he will probably be inactive all season and walk at the end of the year. Its a good thing I am not a GM.

Cool. Bills Db's should pull the backs of jerseys when they are beat to the inside this season then.
-
KC was awful. They were as bad as we were and so was cleveland. this are just practices in uniforms.
-
I wasn't making a case for separation personally just used that clip to show that his jersey was pulled from behind. That isn't johnson the all pro that is jaylon jones just a depth chart corner. not that it makes any difference.
-
The chiefs have been a dumpster fire in the first half. They have been awful on the kickoffs and the jags have gone up and down the field on them on offense.
-
very important to note that after 1 week of the preseason Keon Coleman has more catches and yards than Nabers and Worthy combined. so take that first round wr's.

Gabe Davis has made a couple of nice plays in the first quarter in jax tonight -
I don't know but the most telling moment that it was a preseason game was that second drive from the bears, they were backed up inside their five and buffalo was still sort of playing them straight up. in a regular season game with oliver and jones inside and milano on the field they would have come after him with everything...much like the pats game last year. its moments like that which are the difference in these preseason games. They are all just running plays.

looked like hollywood brown got slammed on his shoulder and came out of the game after the first play. -
it was a 2nd, 3rd and amari cooper who would put up numbers equal to aiyuk in that offense. I keep saying this but whatever team does this is going to regret it 2 years from now.

its chiefs jaguars time. which means their first round wr are going to go for like 6-80 yards and 2 TD's because they are the greatest players ever. -
yea no doubt the throw was late high and behind him.
-
I want to add the only egregious error to me was Alec Anderson snapping the ball too soon and nearly got trubisky killed. That is a mental mistake that can't happen.
-
if you look close at the 2.5 second mark his jersey is being pulled. I mean it doesn't matter because the throw is so bad but there was definitely too much contact.

I think everyone is making to much of the lack of running game from the starting line. Had this been a real game they would have had a plan to attack wherever the weakest spot was. Josh said they only had 3 or 4 running plays even available. They were basically just calling plays. It looked from the naked eye the bears were just attacking downhill in the running game and had good fortune that the bills were pulling their left guard on one of the plays to cook that was just wiped out because of the huge gap it left. if this were a regular season game and they were attacking like that they would have a bunch of ways to counter that. Today they just called the next play. Its preseason football. The way they were attacking was begging to get screened to death. not to mention that is an excellent front 7 vs the run and was number 1 last year. If they cant run in september then i will be worried its personnel but for now judging from today this was just basically plays being run and for the first time with real hitting and tackling.

Weak? umm ok.

Coleman had his jersey pulled and was getting arm barred as the ball was above and behind him not to mention late. Going through this is only going to make him better. i also have a feeling he won't be running alot that in breaking stuff in the endzone and is going to make his living in the back corner and coming back to the ball at the front pylon. Would have been nice to see the ball be at least reasonably catchable so he could have had a chance though.
