The Worthy Trade Keeps Looking Worse and Worse

Or Chiefs fans being overly sensitive at even the slightest suggestion that Worthy is a small guy that could get hurt. -

I agree with this. Is this all of it? That’s where I differ. Him being 160lbs is a factor in my imo. It (injury) hasn’t happened doesn’t mean it can’t and won’t. Just from a logical standpoint a guy that’s 190lb could take more of a hit than a slighter guy at 160lb. I do think he could be electric as a punt returner with his speed. It’ll be interesting to see what happens. -

Yes. So they’d risk more exposure if they had put him on punt returns. This season they can afford to do that because of other guys returning. That was my original point of the coaching staff not wanting him to return punts last year because they couldn’t afford to lose him. And how would they potentially lose him if he returned punts? Injury concerns. Why are we still going round and round on this? -

Right. So the reason he wasn’t returning punts last year was because of injury concerns as those other two weren’t around. It really isn’t that complicated. -

So you’re saying they don’t consider him a top WR this year since they’re talking about him returning punts? -

They didn’t need a returner but elevated a practice squad player to be a returner? Ok. -

I can see that. Especially towards the end of last season when he was pretty much all they got on the outside. They definitely couldn’t lose him then. -

That may be but he did play a ton in his rookie year. I can see Worthy having an impact as a returner with his speed. But Bill’s assertion that KC coaches aren’t concerned about injury exposure to Worthy handling that duty is disingenuous. -

Why didn’t they let him return punts last year when they really needed it? They opted to bring up a practice squad guy to do it instead of Worthy. Obviously injuries were a concern. Hill returned punts as a rookie. -

Should ask KC’s coaching staff. -

Good idea letting a 160lb guy return punts with 200lb guys running at him full speed. -
NFL Executives poll: Allen ranked #2 QB in NFL
90sBills replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Your experiment is fantasy. No team will even get to a Super Bowl much less win it with a qb that’s dead last in every statistical category. -
The NFL’s list is pretty accurate.
-
Spagnoulo telling Burrow he’s the second best qb in the league was interesting.
-
Obviously because they win a lot. This idea of refs helping teams that win a lot isn’t something to sports.

Oh she’s a keeper for sure. That’s the kind of woman you put a ring on.

I saw Sinners recently and agree with your take about Hailee Steinfeld. She has that wholesome attractive vibe. But not gorgeous.
-
Will Levis might disagree.
-
This cannot be overstated. If they can’t do it this year it’d be a huge failure and disappointment.

Alex Smith - 6 years later showing how remarkable his comeback was
90sBills replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall
Alex Smith really is one of the good guys from the NFL. -
Of course it is. Sports IS entertainment. However, I’m willing to bet that fans of teams that won championships were more entertained during those runs than fans of teams that fell short. Saying SB’s don’t matter or that they’re bs is nutty.
-
One of the funniest things I’ve read on here. What’s the point of watching games and following the team if you really believe this. Allen will end up in the hof. You can make that case without making such an outrageous statement about SBs.

He definitely leans into that, especially his TV persona. Gronk is the same way.
