Where is the coverage of "Camp Christopher"?
SilverNRed replied to OnTheRocks's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I suffered a massive head wound trying to make Retatta. I tried to do it in less than 15 minutes. Dangerous. -
Cindy Sheehan is a puppet and a nut
SilverNRed replied to Rich in Ohio's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Get real. She's backed by every "name" in the George Soros/Michael Moore wing of the Democratic party. They're paying for her PR rep! And every major "mainstream" news outlet is covering her several hours a day. I tried flipping through the cable news channels last night and couldn't get away from her. The new buzz word is that she represents the "tipping point" in the Iraq War. Both CNN and MSNBC used that term. Why? I don't know! Probably because it's a good way to present a story and make a meaningless story seem meaningful. I can't imagine anyone trying to frame her as this "nobody" trying to take on the big names on the Right. She has plenty of powerful friends and people who want to broadcast her. -

Yeah, but most of the Wallers have pretty clever sig's and I don't want to miss those if I don't have to. -

SilverNRed replied to Rich in Ohio's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Ha! I hadn't thought of that. Cindy Sheehan uses her dead son as an excuse to tell us what many fringe leftists "really" think and it's predictably horrific and brainless. -

Fastest growing economy in the world according to the CIA. I'm sure the 50,000 Iraqi kids dying each year from malnutrition and lack of medicine under Saddam and the Oil for Palaces program think things are pretty bad now. Or they would if they were alive. You mean blown up and stoned by the people our troops are fighting? Guess it's pretty important that we win over there, huh? Also, please do something about your signature. Common courtesy says you don't post and re-post a 5000-word list of bumper sticker slogans every time you want to spout off about "neo-cons" or "Bush Bad" or whatever is bothering you today. -
Quite Frankly, Steven A. Smith is not popular

I think that's the point. No one is watching. Time for ESPN to wake up. -

Because he TALKS like THIS! EMPHA-SIZING every OTHER WORD for NO apparent REASON. And, quite frankly, THAT is ALL he needs. -

I don't think it was directed at you, but at the people who criticize the President for taking advantage of the troops while naming their PR festival "Camp Casey."

Bush tells why he won't meet Sheehan
SilverNRed replied to Dr. K's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
No, it wasn't her aunt, it was Casey Sheehan's aunt - presumably his father's sister and one of Cindy Sheehan's in-laws. Reading comprehension is a B word. -
Some guys enjoy trashy looking women. Every now and then you want the girl next door, and every now and then you want the slut from the club down the street.....

Speaking of reasonable, anyone reasonable has to come to the conclusion that this woman is either nuts or lying because only one estimate put the death toll at 100,000 and it was debunked soon after it was published. Michael Moore publishes this drivel of hers on his website. I wonder if he really thinks he's doing the right thing or if he thinks he's doing a bad thing with good intentions or if he doesn't care at all and just wants the free press. Nothing would surprise me.

Bush tells why he won't meet Sheehan
SilverNRed replied to Dr. K's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Amazingly, my point is we should take everything his mother says with a grain of salt which is incredibly compatable with the above. Unfortunately, you misinterpret this as me (and the rest of the sensitive right wingers) proclaiming we know CS more than his family. -
Bush tells why he won't meet Sheehan
SilverNRed replied to Dr. K's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Of course, it's "clear." First off, it's impossible to find two people with identical political views in general, which is why it's unwise to trust anyone speaking for the dead, especially grieving mothers. So if I roll into this message board with "I support President Bush 100% and so did my recently deceased mother," I expect people to furrow their brow at that second part. Second, he was a military man and his mother is apparently anti-war period (not just anti-Iraq War) so there's a conflict there as well. -

Another strike would kill baseball. Besides, the game has never really been all that "clean." There were all sorts of gambling problems in the first three decades of the last century and a couple decades ago we had players taking "greenies" before every game to stay sharp and alert. Outlaw steroids and they'll find something else to cheat with. Then you have "softcore" cheating like spitballs, doctoring the ball, "trapping" the ball on a catch, body armor at the plate, players erasing the batters box when they come to the plate, etc. I don't want a funeral. I think it'd be kind of cool to be fed to an animal at the zoo after I die. I tell this to people and they're horrified - "How can you want that to happen to your body?" they ask. Well, it's not like I'm using it anymore. Why not just have a shoulder patch on the home jersey in the shape of NYS with two small stars on Buffalo and Rochester. You know Golisano wants to regionalize the team. Besides, logos with geography are cool ten times out of ten. -

So nice of you to respond not to me, but about me to someone else. And it's great that you keep trying to assert that somehow I'm trying to say I knew this guy better than his own mom. It's not working, but it's great that you keep trying. Let me guess: you'll say it again in your next response..... -
Bush tells why he won't meet Sheehan
SilverNRed replied to Dr. K's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
All I'm doing is remaining skeptical about a woman who is making crazy accusations on a daily basis and who claims to be speaking for her deceased son. The people on Casey Sheehan's father's side of the family feel the exact opposite way and Cindy Sheehan's husband just filed for divorce. If you aren't skeptical about everything this woman is saying, it's only because you really really don't want to be. -
Bush tells why he won't meet Sheehan
SilverNRed replied to Dr. K's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Because I don't know her son's views but it's clear they were different from his mother's. I don't know how different, but different. Because people who are against war in all situations do not join the military in the first place. If this is confusing to you, I can't help you. -
Cindy Sheehan is a puppet and a nut
SilverNRed replied to Rich in Ohio's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Yes, my point is that this is NOT helping our forces fighting the GWOT and that this is exactly what the terrorists want. They know they can't defeat us militarily, but if they kill enough Americans, they can turn public opinion against the war and eventually get what they want. She didn't raise their awareness of how helpful it is for them to kill us, she is just confirming their suspicions. -
Bush tells why he won't meet Sheehan
SilverNRed replied to Dr. K's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
If I want to, I will. But I don't and I haven't, so I'm not going to start now. Casey Sheehan joined the military and then re-enlisted to return to combat. His mother doesn't even think we should have gone to Afghanistan following 9/11. You can't reconcile those facts and say they were of one mind politically. And, yes, it's clear to me just from that that had a different political worldview. -

Right on. In the meantime, here are some more quotes from what you think is a mentally well person. Link All together now - WHAT? Iraq had no terrorism, except for that giant list of things that AD periodically posts on this message board. And I don't even know what she was saying about not "attacking the country of Afghanistan." The woman brings incoherence to a new level and yet every media outlet wants to know what she has to say. Nope, no bias there. -
I love how it all comes down to how much we can tax the Senecas. Like nothing is worth doing if we can't tax it.

Bush tells why he won't meet Sheehan
SilverNRed replied to Dr. K's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
She also thinks President Bush "murdered" her son, so her grip on reality isn't spectacular at the moment. If I detested a war, I wouldn't re-enlist to go fight it. But that's just me. Speaking of "making up facts"......
