  1. No, he isn't. Football is the ultimate team sport. One player can't get his team to a Super Bowl much less win one.
  2. The Pats did a good job keeping Cook contained. If he isn't having a productive game, then that puts too much pressure on Allen.
  3. He would be perfect for the Dolphins or Jets. Teams that need a HC to change the losing culture. They both know him very well being in the AFCE.
  4. With games at Atlanta and Carolina the Bills SHOULD be 6-1. Will they who knows. The penalties need to stop. That is the first thing that needs to happen as you can't win when you constantly take dumb penalties.
  5. I hope Johnson owns them for a long time. Being one of the worst owners in sports this would be a good thing for the Bills and Bills fans. Woody Johnson is the issue, and everyone knows it. But you can't fire the owner.
  6. Allen's career is going down the same path as Marino's and Ewing's. Actually, worse since Marino played in a Super Bowl and Ewing played in an NBA Finals.
  7. I know he is only in his first year, so he probably gets a pass, but Glenn looks like another terrible hire for the Jets at 0-5. I wonder if there is a chance he ends up being one and done. With the dumbest owner in sports (Johnson) nothing they do would surprise me.
  8. At least this year so far, the Chiefs are 3-2 assuming a win tonight and still behind the Bills. It looks like injuries will kill the Ravens season. The Colts, Broncos, and Chargers (even with yesterday's loss) could be in the mix for the #1 seed with BUF and KC. I guess after last night we have to put NE in the conversation as well. Pitt will probably win the North by default as the rest of the division has issues, but I doubt the Steelers win enough to get the #1 seed.
  9. It's not about one game. Nobody is getting fired during the year with the Bills. It's the same issues that come up with losses that have been going on for nine years now with McDermott and Beane. That is where the frustration is as opposed to losing one game. Nobody expected the Bills to go 17-0. All last night's loss means is the Bills will now have to get that game back by beating the Pats in NE.
  10. Beane definitely deserves his share of the blame as well. He has hit a grand slam with the Allen pick. He has a great RB as well and built a good OL. But the receivers and defense aren't up to championship caliber, and he needs to answer for that. He should but he won't since Terry likes his GM/HC with the Bills.
  11. Along with this thread about the Pats being back. What about the Broncos. Impressive win yesterday at Philly. The defense is legit, and Nix looks like a good QB. I get the NFL is a week-to-week league, but the Broncos might be the team to take the AFCW from the Chiefs. I am not counting the Chargers out either despite yesterday's collapse against the Commanders.
  12. Good point. I would welcome a change at HC if the Bills fall short again in the playoffs. But since I am not Terry Pegula my opinion means nothing.
  13. It could be worse. Look at how the Eagles lost their first game yesterday blowing a big lead in the 2nd half.
  14. The Bills defense in the playoffs seems to never come up with a big stop in a key moment. The Pats defense with Bill did. The INT at the goal line in the Super Bowl vs Seattle. Shutting the Falcons out after they built a huge lead which allowed Brady to bring them back. It was a combination of Brady and the Pats defense that was leading the way to the Super Bowl wins. Until McDermott finally wins one and I am starting to have doubts that he will then he will be known for his playoff failures highlighted by 13 seconds and not the winning regular seasons. The media both local and national are pointing that out more and more as the years go by.
  15. I agree with you, but shouldn't this be directed at Beane more so than McDermott. Beane is the GM, and he is the one responsible for putting the roster together. I am sure McDermott has a say, but Terry Pegula said that both men report to him, and they both have equal power. Beane has the final say on GM matters when it comes to the draft and FA. So, McDermott isn't the boss of Beane like some on this board think he is.
  16. Brady is the GOAT, and you are correct in that Allen isn't on his level until he wins a Super Bowl and probably multiple Super Bowls to be on Brady's level. One thing I am sure of is Bill would build a strong defense. He is also a great DC as well as HC. While Allen isn't on Brady's level I would want to see Josh in the playoffs with a strong defense on his side. I bet the Bills would have a Lombardi if he had a strong defense helping him the playoffs. Bill would give him that.
  17. McDermott is in his 9th season so it's not like he hasn't been given a chance. I am not going to panic over one loss as the Bills were never going 17-0 but if the team falls short in the playoff again then it is fair to question if McDermott and Beane can get this team a championship.
  18. I think the only reason he couldn't get another HC job in the NFL was he wanted control of the whole thing being a GM/HC type. Picking the players was his downfall with NE but the man can coach.
  19. Bill. He has an opt out in his contract at UNC if he wants to get back into the NFL. Bill with Josh = Super Bowl championship. Just don't let him pick the players. He sucks as a GM, but he can coach, and he would build a stronger defense than McDermott has. Bill with an elite level QB = 9 Super Bowl appearances with 6 Championships. Sean with an elite level QB = Zero, zip, nada, in his 9th season.
  20. The only players on the Bills offense that teams worry about from the skill positions are Allen and Cook. Our WR's are average. I would love a Jefferson, Chase, G. Wilson, Cee-Dee on the Bills but we just don't have one.
  21. Maybe this should be on Beane more so than Brady. Take a good look at the Bills offense. Great QB and RB. Good OL but average to slightly above average WR's. At the skill positions on offense the only players opposing teams really worry about are Allen and Cook.
  22. The color of the jersey is the reason they lost. Never mind the penalties, the turnovers as the reason they lost. It was the white jersey. I guess we shouldn't watch the Falcons game next Monday night since the Bills will be wearing the all-white throwbacks.
  23. Disagree on the uniforms. Those look good. Penn State should take notes from the Bills on how to do a white out. Fans wear white and the team wears white. Nothing says white out like a Penn State white out where the fans wear white and the teams runs onto the field in their home dark blue jerseys.
  24. But he didn't win a "HIMMY" award yet, so he sucks
